Anybody wrote more cars on online race grids, new contact physics and reduce slipstream from arcady to more realistic ? ;d
No, because rewriting the infrastructure of the game to accommodate all of that is slightly out of scope for what a Gran Turismo update tends to contain.
Slipstream is already an existing event setting.

Uhhhh yeah..."right"

A bigger rotation of car classes in Sport Mode would shake things up a lot. Feels like the daily races spend too much time on Gr.3 and Gr.4 when there are dozens of other road car classes that barely get used. Even a weekly themed race with road cars would give more people a reason to jump in.

That sounds good. Also, I think PD needs to implement some sort of system where, if a player is trying to join a daily race, but they have a connection problem that prevents them from joining and it forces everyone else to wait until they leave, it automatically kicks out the player unable to join after a few seconds and maybe tells them there was an error so other people won't have to wait that long.

I also personally think GT8 will be cross-gen.

With all the uncertainty surrounding availability of components (i.e. RAM) and their prices for a new PS6, it just makes sense from an enterprise point of view to reduce such uncertainty, so a roughly 100-million console base (PS5) is a good safety net to prevent low initial selling figures in case GT8 is released with a low-availability steep-price PS6.

And if GT8 comes out before a, say, delayed PS6, then you also have your answer.

I wouldn't mind, either, that GT7 continues to be further enhanced and supported (with updates and/or paid powerpacks) as long as it points at the right direction (aka user feedback).

I think we'll get at least one more year of updates for GT7, and by 2028, things start to slow down a bit before any indication of GT8.

By the end of this year, we'll likely hit the high 580s or low 590s in terms of car count (not including Power Pack cars or any bonus cars), and it's possible that by the end of 2027, we'd be somewhere around 620+ cars, roughly 200 cars added since launch.

That's also slightly more than the Japanese version of GT2 which had 604 cars.

As for tracks, maybe around 43-45 track environments at most. Looking into the future, it's inevitable that GT8 would be an absolute beast of a game in terms of its car and track roster.

Makes you think that GT7 is a game that's built to last. I sometimes rewatch the announcement trailer, pre-release trailers and past update trailers to see how far we've come.

yea gt8 should literally be gt7+ (with some ui overhauls so it makes impression it's a new game) i mean all the current content + decent chunk of new one. and single player should be better + B Spec, would be great. licenses right now are???? (what for) and the master licenses are just kekw. if they want more tests, they should just extend regular licenses to 15 test. (i would increase the count the higher the license, and add silver rewards as well cause right now it's dead? very bizarre) and rally license should be separate. anyway many things are very easy to make better, you just look on all previous GTs and pick the best parts of them. most of the time there is a brainfart inside developers heads (like literally, in such cases you need to step back and revise the ideas) many users on this forums have good suggestions, you just need to take them into account and reinterprete.
and there should be much more credits grind races (with comparable credits/hour payout, i would love the grind nurburgring and some other longer tracks, it's the best way to learn the track)

With rumors PS6 development is going to be delayed, GT8 to GT7 just might be what GT6 was to GT5... with the benefit of doubt, this could honestly be the best GT game yet 😎

I look forward to that. By the way, I just don't know how to get better at Gran Turismo 7. Even with extensive practicing, I still can't match my qualifying times with expert players I keep getting sorted with when my DR is A. I don't know what's wrong with me. Why can't I get better? What do they have that I don't?

how old are you? anyway it's just a game, if you feel frustrated do something else. most "esports champions" are basically just one trick ponies, not really something to strive for.
> What do they have that I don't?
better reaction/reflexes/estimates which leads you to driving better, at some point it just becomes micro management. you can "know" how to drive properly but the hard part is to execute like a bot (consistent and with precise timings) so the more bot you are the better driver as well.

Thanks. By the way, I'm 26 and I'll be turning 27 soon. I'm just a huge Gran Turismo fan, but I have a hard time mimicking the top players. I also hope Polyphony vastly improves the visual aids for braking zones and driving lines so they can really help you go fast. Right now, they just make you reinforce ineffective strategies...

stop trying to be like the "top players" & just enjoy yourself, its much more fun that way.. :D

I'll think about it and thanks. Daily races are usually disappointing, anyway. I'll think about doing other things and wait for good daily races to come.

you need to study the replays of good players. whats the driving line when they brake/how accelerate etc, basically everything and then try to replicate. so a lot of head banging.

Replication is usually just the first step. Simply copying them won’t make you as good as them. You have to think like them, you have to have the same feelings and reactions that they do. That means practice, practice and practice.

F1 team mates have access to everything their team mates do in the car - but even with all that data and analysis some of them still can’t get close enough to beating them.

@Andyxdr as others have said, no need to obsess over top times and DR ranking.

Just find a level you're comfortable at, keep enjoying the good racing when it comes. Focus on keeping clean, finishing races without crashing your car. Good results will come naturally if you keep at it.

Alright. Thanks.

I didn't get the survey; I'll just assume Kaz mistyped his handwritten letter to me and I'll answer here. You're welcome

Car Customisation:
  • I would love to have the ability to equip strobe lights and sirens onto most #Road Cars in GT7 via GT Auto, so that any car can become a safety/police car.
  • I would love to see interior customisation for cars. Some of the cars in GT7 already have multiple interior colours, such as the NC1 NSX or SLR McLaren for example. Being able to choose the colour of the upholstery when purchasing the car new from Brand Central would be a much appreciated feature that goes some way in making a car unique to its owner.
  • I would love to see the custom gauges from GT6 make a return, and perhaps even an option to swap out a car's original gauges with racing items just like the Gr.3 and Gr.B Road Cars.
  • I would love some sorting options for wheels in GT Auto beyond wheel manufacturers. I wish we could filter by spoke count, lug nut count, and centre lock wheels, for example. I would also love to experiment with swapping wheels between cars of the same manufacturer à la Gran Turismo 4.
  • Also, I need more three spoke wheels! The only one in the game thus far looks UGLY AS SIN!
  • Aftermarket parts for bumpers, bonnets, and side mirrors are sorely needed for road cars in my opinion. Having a car's original bumpers, bonnets, and side mirrors really shatter the illusion of a race car when we try to tune them up to compete and blend in with bona fide race cars.
  • #Road Cars desperately need more tuning options in order to compete with race cars. Aero parts for road cars—especially wide bodied ones—should preferably be able to achieve downforce numbers comparable to those of Gr.3 cars in my opinion. Moreover, an option to give road cars the range to compete with race cars would also be needed, whether that be an upgrade that increases the capacity of road cars' fuel tanks, or converting the engines to run on race fuel, or any other solution. Ideally, these upgrades would also come in separate stages much like mass reduction to cater the car to Gr.4, Gr.3 or Gr.2 performance levels.
  • Please consider adding more aero parts to cars added early on in GT Sport and GT7's life. Polyphony Digital has gotten so much more creative and fun with the custom aero parts in GT Auto, with the contrast between the parts available for the RX-7 Type R '91 and RX-7 Spirit R being a prime example. It would be such a shame if the cars added to the series much earlier miss out on the fun!

Gameplay:
  • Please bring back Shuffle Racing. Douka onegai itashimasu!
  • PLEASE continue to increase Sophy compatibility with cars and tracks in Custom Races; Sophy Custom Races is the lifeblood of the game for quite a few players!
  • Please address the issue of garage cars with aftermarket tyre compounds reverting to their original tyre compounds when selected as opponents in Custom Races.
  • Please allow us to race electric cars against cars of other types; currently, a player driving an EV can only select One Make as opponents in Custom Races.
  • I would greatly appreciate if endurance races could be saved and suspended during pit stops.
  • Please consider allowing players to retain their existing Car Styles and Liveries when the GT7 servers reach the end of service. I am aware that this may be a logistical challenge, but it would mean a tremendous lot to me to be able to preserve my creations.
  • Please re–adjust the Daily Workout Gift Roulette Ticket probabilities, such that long–time players at Collector Level 70 no longer have a chance to win 3–Star tickets, and the chances of winning 4, 5, and 6–Star tickets being much more evenly split.
  • I wish that, upon purchasing a car from the Used Car Dealer or Legendary Car Dealer, that the car in question becomes permanently purchasable with a 0km odometer from Brand Central at no discount, allowing players to see and choose the cars' colours for themselves.
  • In the Discover Pavilion of the game, I would love the ability to sort search results by Total Likes, Newest, Oldest, and Content From Players I Follow. Additionally, when searching for Car Styles, I would also love the ability to filter by normal body and wide body styles. A search function for personal decals in the Livery Editor would also be immensely useful.
  • I opine that the track list in GT7 feels incredibly sterile, with the vast majority of tracks being smooth, wide open, paved racetracks—even the fictional tracks set in populated areas feel like racetracks! I wish there were more variety, and more tight, narrow tracks for low–powered road cars to shine. Remember Kart Space? The Gymkhana in Kyoto? Route X Infield? I just wish the team were allowed more freedom to just... have fun and imagine a little, instead of always being so dedicated to realism. This is a game, after all!
  • I would love for the VR Showroom to become available for players without VR, simply to admire the car in 2D. I would also love to be able to shoot photos in VR Showroom too!

Sport Mode
  • The Penalty System is in need of urgent and overdue overhaul in my opinion. I think it's fair to say that most players don't hold the penalty system of GT7 in high regard, often punishing victims and letting the aggressors off without punishment. This severely sours the online experience and turns potential players away. If PD were to look into this issue, please do not just look at highly skilled players; look in the lower rated lobbies and see just how much carnage those can be.
  • I would love to see more daily races with PP and tyre limits that make use of the game's incredible car roster beyond Gr.3 and Gr.4 racecars.
  • The Open Lobby of GT7 has been rife with lag issues that has persisted since launch. I am aware that this issue may not be easy to resolve, but I would be happy to just bring PD's attention to this issue.

Some examples of lag:

Feature Suggestion: Programmable Shift Points / TCU Map in Transmission Tuning

Concept:Currently, the Manual Adjustment screen in the transmission menu displays a Speed-vs-RPM graph where each gear's diagonal ratio line terminates at the engine’s maximum rev limit (e.g., 8,100 RPM). While this works well for manual shifting, the game’s Automatic Transmission (AT) logic is hardcoded to upshift only when the engine touches this top ceiling.

Proposed Addition:Add an adjustable horizontal "Target Shift RPM" threshold line on the graph (or a TCU Shift Point slider) below the hard redline.

Why This Improves Gameplay:

  1. Automated Short-Shifting: Players could configure gears to shift early (e.g., at 60%–70% RPM) directly from the setup menu. This would allow automated short-shifting to preserve fuel during endurance races (like Le Mans WTC 700) without forcing players into manual mode.
  2. Torque Optimization: Many turbocharged engines lose significant power near redline. A lower shift trigger keeps the transmission operating squarely inside the engine's peak torque curve rather than wasting time at high RPMs.
  3. Traction Control Alternative: Setting earlier shift points for lower gears (1st–3rd) would tame rear-wheel spin on high-horsepower FR/MR cars during corner exits, giving cleaner traction without needing TCS torque cuts.
This simple addition to the transmission menu would turn the existing passive gear ratio chart into an active, programmable Transmission Control Unit (TCU)—adding a whole new layer of strategy to car tuning and endurance management!
