  • I was thinking of how to motivate me more to use other cars and a thought came to me of doing a sort of level system for each car. I know maybe this can't make to GT7 but there is a chance it can make it to GT8. Basically it would be a level system for each car. You race the selected car and you gain Exp. Level cap to 30 or 70. I kept thinking maybe add in some unique body kits that can only be unlocked by reaching those maxed levels in each individual car. There would be also some sort of special type of decal that could be place in your car once you reach those levels. (In Tourist Trophy if you won a championship race series you would get a special number 1 that could be visible in your bike this could be done to every bike as long as you won the championships) i just felt like it would be a cool idea.
  • I feel that maybe something can be done more about time trials. You could choose the car and there would be a time trial for you to gold. So for every car there would a time trial that you needed to gold. It would apply BOP settings. But there could be a tuned version of it. So there would be 2 Time Trials in total for each car for every track. A BOP one and a Tuned One. Make them challenging and you would earn Credits for Golding them. I feel this won't make it to GT7 but it was just a thought for GT8 (And again. The main point is to motivate everyone to use more cars) (Not just some specific ones)
  • This one might be only for GT8. To be able to make my own body kits. Like to be able to shape them and mold them to the way i want them. I feel there could be a way. I know it would be more complicated then the decal system. But there was once a time i thought the decal system was never going to happen. (GT8)
  • To able to modify the interior. The seats. Or the steering wheel or the manual shift. (GT8)
  • To be able to look at the engine and see all the details of the engine including modifications done to it. Long usage would make it look dirty. It can be cleaned at GT Auto (GT8)
  • So there would be Car level. Account level. And Character Level. Character level is for your character. In here You can unlock different type of suits and clothing. There are pants jackets boots shoes etc. But it would cost credits. That way you can grind. So there would be race type suits obviously. Motorcycle type suits. Then there would be street type apparel. (GT8) (And this is because i do hope they add motorcycles) lol
  • To be able to add gauges to interior. GT6 had it and you could change their colors.
  • This one is one that i've wanted for some time. To be able to to gift cars to other accounts in your PlayStation. (Or Sell them)
  • Then lastly. I was thinking of maybe like a prestige type system. Where once you reach your max level on whatever it is. You can reset it and you get to prestige it and it adds something to your account so that everyone can see (Like in Call of Duty) (I don't know if it's still a thing) lol Maybe max is 5 times. So you can prestige 5 times.
  • Actually one last thing. If possible in GT8. To be able to modify the exhaust system. So if wanted it from the sides. Or i wanted a centered exhaust i could create it.
I'm not sure that expanding FM's bad decisions is a good idea.

this would fit much better for B Spec mode. and most of the suggestions again hit the "make more assets" wall.
but a workshop for user made body parts models would be actually awesome (similar to the one you have in steam dota2/cs etc)
but it's challenging technically (but most you would solve with different limits and checks on import, and one thing which is important are the aerodynamics idk how exactly it should be handled, ofc the most fair (and simplest) way would be they don't change it at all, but it removes the depth of designing the parts). i think this would be the best way to go (similar to current liveries, there are actually really good ones, some users like to put the effort. with models it would be the same)

I would like to get one make issues on custom races get sorted like using EV’s with normal cars in future update. Also bringing cars like Lotus Emira and Koenigsegg. Also bringing brands like bentley.
Super GT GT500's and Koenigsegg seem more likely. Nothing has been seen or heard with the Lotus licensing yet.

Bentley was only represented in Gran Turismo with just the Speed 8 and that was that.

The ability to order a car On-Demand for a certain added Cr. price if not currently available in the Used Car Dealership and Legend Cars Dealership. It would start with 0 KM/Mi and the ability to do so or not would be decided by the player's Collector level.

I wonder if that could be an idea.

Make the AI more "I". I get tired of getting spun or run off the course because the AI can't seem to know when I'm right there. I'd be OK if they used Sophy exclusively for single player instead of having to specifically choose it for a race.
Maybe next game since the Power Pack is SOPHY exclusively.

Also on-demand means you can choose any factory/default color/livery available for that car.

As a custom race enthusiast, I would love to grind for hours to acquire the full grid of my custom races. First thing that comes to my mind is that we definitely need a stronger custom race creation system!
1. We should be able to create championships with full race week arrangements (practice, qualifying, and race)
2. The game really should extend the grid limit from 20 to at least 32. Some proper multiclass endurance races can be recreated for sure.
3. AI behavior enhanced -- AI opponents can actually use tactics, changing fuel maps, using different tire compounds on their own, choose to keep pace or to push and try to make overtakes. If the player pits in at first lap and choose not go out for the rest of the race, AI should just do their stuff, perform tactics and overtakes regularly, even with the absence of the player himself. Fix the weird rubberband technics, I don't want to see AI just deploying 90% of throttle on back straights ever again……
4. Add proper side by side rolling start. Add options of FCY, and safety car when accidents happens. It could just adds another level of immersive feelings.
5. We can apply liveries on AI opponent cars, so that we don't have to grind that much for the ideal grid.
5. We should be able to adjust the driver abilities individually of AI opponents in custom races
6. Up to date race cars and more circuits. Hell yeah I'll pay for it even if it comes with a pricy paid DLC.
7. Bring back old functions that are unavailable in this generation! For example: where is the full data display system in replays back in GT Sport? Definitely need that.
8. BSpec, BSpec, BSpec.
9. Fully deploy GT Sophy on all race cars and all circuit layouts.
Disclaimer:All of my statements only represents my thought, and with no offense, I genuinely thought that, a fully enhanced custom race system, can be a great way to make this game significantly better.

10. All cars available as rental cars in Quick Race, Time Trial, Drift Trial, Custom Race and Split-Screen Race.

11. To complement this, an additional feature for custom grids ("Choose Car (Rental)").

12. AI opponents use the same tire compound as you do, but may change it and use other strategies if tire wear and fuel consumption is turned on.

Also, I for one, would like to see the top speed physics of some Gr. 1 prototypes improved, as some of the older ones are slower compared to back in GT Sport.

For example, the 2016 LMP1's (Audi R18, Porsche 919 Hybrid, Toyota TS050 - Hybrid) cannot reach 330-340km/h in GT7 even when stock, and the Bugatti VGT Gr. 1 even struggles to hit 300km/h.

Completely agree, It seems that all these models failed to achieve its designated top speed in real life, and are significantly slower in terms of lap time when driven by regular AIs. Not to mention that in custom races, regular AIs never deploy full throttle, which is downright annoying…

The balance of these cars is all over the place, and there was an update in January 2025 I believe which gave the 2016 Super GT cars tons of downforce and made them competitive against the LMP1s (which should not be the case).

The Nissan GT-R NISMO GT500 could beat the Ferrari 499P by a few milliseconds around the Nurburgring.

It's said that on some tracks, modern GT500's can catch up with hybrid LMP1s and sometimes even beat the lap times of Le Mans Hypercars in real life. While they lose that advantage on the straights, they could easily fight back on the corners.

GT500's are, I would say, LMP2's disguised as a GT or silhouette car.

modern GT500s are more or less same pace as LMP2s but i do agree they shouldnt be faster than LMP1s but sometimes they can beat them with better tyres like for example on fuji

Hello. I'm new to the site and I'd love it if Chevrolet got a GT3 version of the Corvette C8 to replace the Corvette C7 Group 3 which has been severely nerfed. The underdog brands in the Manufacturers Cups really need to get better Group 3 cars or at least have the ones they already have improved. Also, I want Polyphony to make it easier for controller users like me to go fast because I have trouble increasing my DR when it's A and in daily online races, I keep getting sorted with godlike players and I just can't match my qualifying times with theirs or move that far up from where I started. I feel like I've reached my limit and I just can't get that good even with practice...

Can I ask why my post was met with laughter? Just curious.

Maybe they thought the comment about improving your DR with a controller was funny? Or maybe someone thought "we don't need no more Gr.3 cars none" and the rest just piled on? ;)

Anyway @Andyxdr, welcome to GTPlanet bro :gtpflag:

I retracted my laughter. I apologize. I just... I was feeling silly. You should check the wishlist thread and post according to the format that GTPlanet requires.
Thanks for apologizing. So, I can't have a DR that high if I'm a controller user? I've tried using steering wheels in the past, but they both proved to be unreliable and I returned both of them and even when they did work, my performance in the game wasn't that much better. Also, more Group 3 cars in the game would be welcome. Brands like Chevrolet, Genesis, and Jaguar have been struggling in the Manufacturers Cups lately and they've been failing to make it to the Gran Turismo World Series.

There is no skill ceiling to being a controller user. People have qualified for the Gran Turismo World Series on a controller and have regularly made top 10s globally if not world records with a controller.

The balance of the cars is bad though, not much to be said there.

Generally your race pace would improve with a steering wheel of any kind once you adapt to it. Have you tried the Logitech G29?

I haven't tried using a Logitech steering wheel because I don't want to give them money since they use animal materials for the padding of their wheels and I became a vegetarian because I want to respect animals. Just wanted to say that. The steering wheels I tried to use were both Thrustmaster ones and they both disappointed me. It's just too easy for things to go wrong with steering wheels.

If you used older Thrustmasters than it's no surprise that they were disappointing

Even if you're against animal materials I would highly recommend having a good look at the G29

Okay, but I'd really appreciate it if Logitech stopped using animal materials.
Just for further info, the new Logitech RS50 system is a fantastic Direct Drive wheel kit and features a synthetic silicone / TPU leather grip (no animal-origin materials in the kit). I upgraded from an old Thrustmaster T247 and find it really worth its price tag.

The equivalent Thrustmaster T598 (also Direct Drive) uses only plastic or rubber grip, so free from animal-origin materials as well. It's cheaper than the RS50 but it seems to suffer from reliability problems (design issue with the power supply connector resulting in cutouts, for some people even after the redesign)

Finally, MOZA just announced it will soon have a wheel system compatible with PS / Gran Turismo as they just signed a partnership with GT.
