What is the coolest car you have ever ridden in?

Probably my freind's 1976 Ford F-100 drag truck. That thing launches just about hard enough to put your head through the back window, and it sounds incredible.

And the best part is, the truck wasn't even finished. It had a persistent knocking issue (he ended up running a 50/50 mix of premium - 90 octane in Alaska, for whatever reason - and race gas to fix it), and the nitrous oxide injection wasn't installed yet. Finished, it might end up being one of the fastest street-legal cars in the state. And he's building a Mustang that'll be even faster.

Come to think of it, Slashfan would probably like this guy.

Passenger in a NASCAR at Daytona, a C63 AMG at Mosport, and @ND4SPD's C6 Corvette. (God that thing sounded nice.)

Not a car, but I got a ride in a 130mph+ speedboat as well.

I'm jealous you got to ride around Daytona in a NASCAR stock car. As well as a C63 at Mosport!!! Glad you liked my C6 though!

As for me, I think the coolest I've been in is a friend of a friend's 2010 Camaro SS with a granatelli twin turbo kit pushing about 848hp at the rear wheels. My god, that feeling of being pinned into the seat is addicting. It's also ruined every car I've driven afterwards as everything else just feels slow.

Ridden in, rather than driven?

Probably EV West's 400-horsepower electric E36 BMW M3. Utterly crazy vehicle. Two-speed manual transmission, fast and very fast. Noisier than most internal combustion cars I've driven. Also, it's been up Pikes Peak. Very cool indeed.

Coolest car I have ridden in? I haven't really ridden in anything cool since I was like 10 years old, and that was my mom's coworker's brother's SLK55 AMG and Hummer H2. Back then, I didn't care about cars too much, I was mostly into planes, but it was still pretty cool.

Coolest car I have ever driven? 2009 E63 AMG on my 16th birthday .

A friend's 1967 Pontiac Firebird with a blown 462 Pontiac punching 800 lb/ft of torque in quite the speedy ride trough Mexico City. As @ND4SPD said, the car ruined me for life. I've found everything else slow since this car. Sadly, the car was wrecked a few years ago after it touched dirt with a rear slick and spun a couple times ):

That was you? I watched that video a while back, pretty sweet car.

I had a ride in a Boss 302 Laguna from a Miller Motorsport Park instructor. That was pretty impressive.

Anyways...coolest car? When I rode in this baby with a 351C. Puts you in your seat nicely for a small block.

Here's the ride itself..1/8th mile. Considering he was consistently running down Terminator Cobras all day, I think it was pretty quick.





My buddies MII also provided a nice rush.

That's a Henessy with a whopping 700 hp. I've never tapped a gas pedal and went 40. It was INSANE and I loved it. I drove 5 laps around the parking lot just to drive it!

I wasn't in it during any videos, no. I just went to drive an electric Beetle out in California last year and EV West is next door. The owner offered to take me for a spin and it's not the sort of thing you say no to!

Our local road course which is tiny had a charity event about 15 years ago where you could buy tickets to ride in various cars around the track for a few laps. I got to ride in a F-40 for about a lap until his breaks faded (the car had issues all day until they bled the complete system). Even in that one lap I got to feel how amazing F40s are.

I'd have to say a Ferrari 458 Italia. There's a guy who comes into work who has a handful of expensive cars. Such as a Rolls Royce Ghost, a Mercedes S65 AMG, a Bentley Continental GT, and now a Mercedes SLS. He let my dad drive his 458 the one day I was there so I went along for a ride.

In second I'd say a Datsun 2000, which also comes into work though this one we actually work on.

Either a 2013 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged (which was mind-blowingly fast.. especially when he gave it a bootfull from standstill) or an Aston Martin DB9. Sadly, we didn't hit much speed in the DB9, and it was in 2006, so I can't remember it all that well... but it was my favourite car at the time so it was probably incredible.

Ridden in: a pre-production Aston Martin DBS. Honourable mention goes to a Vauxhall Insignia VXR; not cool in itself but it was being driven up the hill during the Goodwood Festival of Speed at the time.
