This list could go on and on...

I'll say space exploration is, and will be, very important.

Well I'd say there are too many to count. Each and every step brought us to what we are today. Good and bad.

That said, I'd say one of the most important things that ever happened to humanity must have been the discovery of evolution. It is after all the answer, at least to some extent, to one of the great questions: where did we come from. That has to be one of the greatest achievements of mankind to this day.

Well, I think that these were important-
1. First shelters
2. The wheel
3. Communication
4. Unity
5. Machinery

Exactly how much do you like men?

Uh... since when homosexuals don't like to have sex?

Women with langerie, women with short skirts, women with wonderbra... well you get the picture.

Oh that reminds me: SEX

The evolutionary leap that allowed us to move out of the sea and onto land.

My PS3 wouldn't work in water and sex in water sounds better than it really is. Plus my sliced bread would get wet and the bacon, well that would be nasty.

Has anyone ever heard Iron Maiden under water? The drums would be a little slower and the amps would short out.

Not to metion the oxygen masks that would definitely get in the way :sly:

No body mentioned houses.🤬 getting cold and wet every winter.

I mean, making love to one's partner is an enjoyable experience most of the time, but it's not the be all and end all. There are far more greater things that happened; the invention of beer, for one.

This thread obviously. The immense joy I get from reading this thread is like upgrading from a t-shirt with only one wolf on to a t-shirt with three wolfs and a moon.

Lacy underwear or the supercar. I can't decide between the two.

lol, although making love with one's partner is regarded as being "lewd" to mention in public unless it's a means for leaving our offsprings in future generations, I wonder how ancient people found that act in those days and they did it in their leeway.

The wheel. Without it we wouldn't have cars, trains, planes (that could land anyway), or space travel (no crawler transporter). The world would not be colonized, and even if it was, it would be very time-consuming to travel to another part of the world, isolating most of humanity to where they were born and raised.

The wheel. .....space travel (no crawler transporter)....

The Crawler-transporters are tracked vehicles. Anyway, the greatest thing that ever happened was the arrival of the ancient astronauts....those who showed the earthly ancient civilizations on our planet a thing or two about mathematics....and enabled us to reach our present state of development.

What is the greatest thing that has ever happend or been invented or maybe be even watched, maybe it's something yet to happen.....

 1. The wheel.
 2. The practical Lightbulb.
 3. Early means of communication, both direct & indirect, e.g. Morse Code & ethic language.
 4. Early conceptions of curiosity, which formed Science.
 5. Early conceptions of imagination and creativity, which formed Art.
 6. Early conceptions of quantity, which formed Mathematics.
 7. Space travel.
They are many more, but I think it's too much to list

Me.
Discussion over.

:sly:
On a more serious note, fire

You are right about fire. Very helpful on thousands of things, in the exception for violent/misconceived means.

It's one of two things:
1) The birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice to save us all from our sins, ensuring our enternal lives in Heaven with The Lord God and all His Saints.
2) Internet porn

I'm going for the porn, personally.
 Agreed

One of the best things ever. I would feel now like castrated without google. :D:tup:
Who needs Google when you got Famine?
👍

Also very helpful in violent means.

But best so far in this thread has to be.....

YES!!!! Life would be incomplete without bacon.

Personally the best thing I think has ever happened was the launch of the Honda S2000.:D

The wheel, light/fire, pulleys, evolution, and....

Birth control.

There is a much more in depth reason for that last one but I'm not getting into that here.

Probably a swearword. It allows to express anger and hate and frustration in a way no other thing can.

The toilet invention. It has a much higher class than a hole in the ground.

Finally a person that cares about practical things other then sex, beer, and women. 👍

Doesn't necessarily have to have a hole in the ground to store feces. A bucket would work as well, which I think was invented way before the toilet 👍

@ Theotherspongey

Thanks! But I think the thread's question is probably more humorist than practical.

What do you think I use sometimes dude? I live in China. Hole in the ground or 'squat' toilets are the norm.

Does it begin with C and end in T?

I've been in plenty of extremely frustrating and angering situations, but have never even remotely felt the need to use a curse word. Just saying.
