I can only find the the intro theme names while searching google or this forum.

I am sorry, but this is not the song I mean.

I am looking for the song which is playing while you are seeing the progress bar before each race. The song has no lyrics, its only melody. It starts slowly and then gets a little bit faster.

It's THE classic song of the Gran Turismo series,

I was wondering about the name of a couple tracks too and found the answer easy to find. Go to the BGM option and filter for the type of music and where it occurs. In your case I think it is listed as Menu music. Then you can sample each of the tracks. Be aware that many of the Menu music tracks sound very similar and some are the same song but in different moods.

The BGM editor is great. No longer do I have to hear that silly grinding sound over and over on enduros. Do you know the one I mean? Its six or seven minutes of the repetitive techno vomit that increases in speed every 90 seconds. NO MORE OF THAT, HA!

PS: scrolling through the BGM list you'll find dozens of song preloaded that are set to never play unless you turn them on. thx for that PD. Some of them are quite good.

The song 'One Reason' was renamed '5oul on D!splay' for GT5. Or so I think. When I googled for Daiki Kasho back then, One Reason is what came up.

What is the name of the song that plays when you are in GT AUTO?

It is such a familiar tune. I find myself sort of humming it sometimes but I still cannot remember the name. My father (really old man) knows it too but can't remember the name so I'm guessing its kind of old.
