My dad used to have a 66 Charger with the Hemi(468 with the 426 Hemi engine), also had a 69or 69 with a Hemi that had a/c. The reason he got a newer one was for a/c :\

My Metallic Silver 10th Anniv. '03 Cobra coupe is 1 of 257. I guess that's rare.

Sucks. Was it a '73 (god please make him say it wasn't)?

RA60's are rare nowadays. :)

Can you believe my summer bus driver once owned and sold off an eight-six? He bought a 1995 replacement for his wife because she wanted a newer car. Pfft :grumpy:

I might be wrong but i think it was a 69

I had an Integra Type-R, one of the 1100 (according to the ITR club of America) produced in 1998.

I have three Audis, which are all pretty rare as not a lot are running on the roads in the U.K.

My 200 quattro turbo is one of the last with it's 1B engine and high spec. Rumoured to be 19 still running in the U.K.

My 100 quattro turbo avant is a very rare car since it has an MC-2 engine. Audi officially say there were 5 imported to the U.K by them but it's thought there are more than 10.

And I suppose my 84 200 turbo is ultra rare since it has a Zender body kit. I've never seen one on any other Audi 100/200 except in Germany.

West Side Ninja
I drive a M635csi. There are only a handful in the US and probobly less than 1000 still in existance.

That's a beautiful car. I love the forward sloping grille of the 6-series. Stands out from the crowd. Is this the 286 bhp monster?

Right, right - and what do you do about all the unintended acceleration? :D

Finally another Audi fan here on the boards! Giles likes Audis too, but Giles sightings seem to be rare these days.

One of my dads friends just bought his dad a yellow Daytona Spider, IIRC there were 124 of those!

Are you sure it was real? Real Daytona Spiders are extremely rare. There are many custom shops that convert regular Daytonas into Spiders, which seems like a waste :guilty:.

hmm

my friend has a bentley Turbo R.. one of 75 or something..

as for me. i guess my R33 GTR VSPEC would be pretty rare to u guys..

u can see pics in my sig if u want...

My aunt used to have a Monza Spider, and my grandpa has a 1957 alfaromeo spider and a 1968 ford mustang gt both in near perfect condition.

Yeah, the unintended acceleration. Ha, never happened to me yet, but that was just bull**** to be honest. With me it's all intended acceleration. 👍 Least I have an excuse for the police though!!

See here if you want to know more about unintended acceleration.

I guess I would have to now. Even though it is only an R32 Skyline GTR, what makes is rare is it is only 1 of 45 produced in 1992. Silver face lift, which is a late production. Rare factory cross drilled rotors( for that production year), limited slip front and rear diffs, factory painted front spoiler lip. Note the more rounded front bumper edges also. I have no idea why nissan did this and honestly i don't particularly like it.

We got a 2005 BMW X3 3.0i on order. Is that rare? I barely even see a single X3. I've seen 2 in Las Vegas, 1 in Los Angeles while vacationing.

PunkRock
They're dime a dozen in Australia/NZ...
Oh, kinda like Vettes up here in PA.

No, not here. We see X3's and X5's on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, this is no haven for exotic automobiles. This place is overun Fodder cars like Civics, Buicks, and our fare share of ricemobiles.

just curious.. how come my buddies R32 has the 2 rectangular air intakes on the bumper and yours doesn't... (other than that i can't really see any differences from first glance)

his is a 94 or 95 (which ever was the last year of R32) is that the reason perhaps?

I was too young and unintelligent with cars to form a coherent thought when it was going on - but looking back now, I agree.

Though I will say one thing - people who were into cars when unintended acceleration was at its height tend to stay away from Audis today, whether consciously or subconsciously. Fifty-year-olds who have liked cars all their life don't own an Audi, even if they would own a BMW, and I swear unintended acceleration has a part in that.

Ottoman your mates has Nismo N1 bumper which is incorrect for that year. It should have the Vspec II bumper if it is a true 94. The main differences between that year and mine is the opening (centre is slightly larger with a colour insert instead of the normal black one. Also it should have Brembo brakes on the front with 310mm dia rotors instead of the base GTR and 297mm dia rotors. Mint unmolested 94's are rare as hen's teeth as most were turned into race cars in Japan.

While Skylines are very common they are not a dime a dozen here in NZ anymore, or at least the R32's. Our lovely government passed a 1996 frontal impact standards law which means if the vehicle doesn't have the little sticker saying it meets a particular standard it isn't allowed in, even if it does! DOH. GTR's here are still reletively cheap compared to countries outside of Japan. A good R32 GTR will average around the $25,000 NZD mark while the R33 GTR and Vspecs are around the $37K mark. R34's however are still nearly 100K NZD.

There are quite a few GTR's roaming the streets here however there are at least 50-1 EVO's, WRX's comparted to the GTR.

I was fortuneate enough to be in the right place at the right time. At the time of purchase I didn't know a thing about the car other than it was an R32 GTR.

So you were lucky. My grandfather had a 1968 AMC Hornet, International Scout, 1961 Jeep Apache, 1961 Rambler, 1955 Oldsmobile, 1949 Plymouth Sedan (with Suicide Doors, mind you), Mercury Monarch Wagon, Ford Galaxy, 1952 Chevrolet Styline Delux (his first car), and his work truck was a 1941 Dodge Powerwagon.

...are rare as hen's teeth...
Woah, what the hell? I just thought about it...hens dont have teeth 💡

My aunt has an old right hand imported subaru, because she used to be a mail woman. I guess thats kind of rare in the US (and pointless unless you work for the US postal service)
