Three little things, world one one, world war two, and the cold war. No we did not come in and win the wars single handedly but we could have sat on our collective butts and done nothing just as easily, and not let our troops die over seas to help stop evil.
The cold war any of you remember that? When the big bad soviet union had 1000s of tanks bombs, nuclear arms and troops and a bunch of leaders that acted like they wanted to invade europe? We had bases all over europe just to help discourage soviet aggression, would they have invaded if we did not? I do not know but you were all like we love america back then. Because we helped keep the ussr in check.
Now with the soviets gone it falls into the more than 3 roommates theory, when you got more than 3 roomates and you got one in the apartment/house that you all dislike, everyone else gets along that much better, their annoying habits are not nearly so annoying because you all hate that one person over there cause he is a royal jerk. So the whole apartment just functions better.
The ussr was the hated roommate once they were out of the picture, there was no one giant entity to universally hate. So you turned on each other and turned on the USA cause well the world was boring and now our habits were more annoying when someone else did not have a knife to your throats.
So yea there any number of things i dislike about the USA, but since i live here that is my right as a US citizen ;P. Not to go into a game and get bombarded about the "fact" we bombed our own buildings, the fact we were over in the desert simply to take over the oil, the george bush was the devil because he was a cowboy and a idiot. I would argue his father was more the devil since he told the kurds and everyone else in iraq to rise up against hussein and take the country back cause we were coming, then we left then all out to hang, and put a band aid on it with the no fly zones. What happened after the first iraq war was a travesty, and the sole reason why we had such a difficult time the second time around because noone trusted us that had their children, wives, friends slaughtered after we told them to take a stand while we stood by.
But lets look in the mirror over there britans great colonial days, when you occupied country after county just to expand your power, france, germany, spain, all their their flirtations with global colonization and many of you had direct ties to slavery. So no country in the world has clean hands or a snow white background. Glass houses and stones n all that.
