I know they have F40 and Enzo Ferrari

My question is why they don't have F50

Even the game form SEGA OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast game have F50 why Gran Turismo 5 don't have it?

Well, the F50 is old enough for inclusion in GT5, as it's from the 1990s which is within the timeframe that PD likes most (1847 through 1995), so I can't blame it on the car being too new. Maybe it's because it isn't Japanese, or because the F50 doesn't have thirty-seven variants and re-badges of it that PD can use to pad the car list.

No one knows why. It's a choice PD doesn't share.

I wanted to look for either daan or Famine's quote on the subject(its very similar), but I can't find it.

The F50 doesn't hold any significant historical value, like the F40 does.

They can't model everything, and if they had to choose two those (Enzo and F40) would be the two they would pick.

^^ that is the reason why. It's a piece of history that was one of the first 200+ mph supercars.

There are quite a few cars made by Italian manufacturers that I didn't understand why they weren't included. From Lambo, no street Diablo. Alfa, no 33 Stradale. Maserati, no MC12. Lancia, no 037.

They're doing what just about everyone does with supercars nowadays. If it isn't the lastest thing (or close to it), and it can't get in on historical value, pretend it doesn't exist! That's why the Ferrari 355, 360, 550/575, and F50 are rarely seen in video games these days. Likewise for the Lamborghini Diablo. If PD someday realizes they can model cars to an even higher standard than the current premiums, that'll probably be the end of Murcielagos in GT.

Putting in a 20+ year old Toyota Carina no one cares about, however, is perfectly OK.

I want to see the Ferrari 308...it was my favorite car as a child...absolutely beautiful

And the wishlist begins...
We already have a wishlist here.

Edit: ffffffuuuuuu

Don't bring up the feedback section, it's a mess and if someone from PD came here they'd probably think it was site feedback anyway. Some days I'm not even sure why it exists. Redundant, overlapping suggestions everywhere with no one around to organize and standardize them.

This isn't about someone from PD. It's about not having the same thread posted 500 times.

Oh, and the Porsche 911 993. DEVELOPERS, Y U NO INCLUDE THOSE CARS?

W&N haven't you been here long enough to know not to feed the wishlists?

Hey! I like the Toyota Carin…
No, you're right.

Screw the F50...where's my 250 GTO/California? Or 275? Or 125? Or that sexy 625 that was just recently auctioned off for $8 million?

I appreciate Ferrari's newer cars, but where are the true Ferrari's that made Ferrari...Ferrari? We have the 330, F40, (and to some extent) the 512BB...where's the others?

Note: I do love the F50, it's just I'd LOVE to see a game that finally incorporates numerous Ferrari classics in a game I love.

I think the Gran Turismo wishlist will be way to much to read anyways

And splitting it up into 50 threads doesn't change that one bit.

Just a personal rant I needed to get out. As soon as Porsche started making the 996, it was as if the 993 never existed except in RUF form (and for the purposes of NFS Porsche Unleashed). Nearly the same thing happened with the 996 when the 997 came out (the two did coexist in NFS Most Wanted, but only because there was no 997-series Tubro at that point), and the same thing will probably happen with the 997 because of the new one, whatever they're calling it. Is product placement really that strong a force?

The simple fact is that the ferrari f50 was a massive flop in popularity compared to the f40 and the Enzo(F60). They chose the most iconic topshelf ferrari's and a handful of modern models and a couple classics.

PD obviously feels that the cost isn't justified. There's plenty of evidence that PD visits this sight. This topic has been covered countless times.

It comes down to cost, availability, time, license and significance.

PD has a habit of treating all cars with more equality than, say, EA with NFS who like putting shiny plastic bits on anything fast or T10 with Forza who go for iconic cars and the fastest of the model line-up.

Now, if we could just combine all three...

As linked to already, we have quite enough wishlist threads as is.

No need for another.
