Interested most in the compatibility of bases with existing Moza ecosystem, they have some cool stuff like active pedal, wheels with proper screens (e.g. KS Pro) that would be great to see compatible with PS.

Don't think so. Playstation licensing fees have costs, fees that previous moza hardware do not include

For the bases w PS license most wheels or peripherals that connect to the base directly would likely function at least basically

for more advanced features the game devs would have to support it, how long until they see enough users to put in the effort, beyond just basic support?

Or perhaps the Moza sw could work like or with simhub, catching telemetry from games to activate features, but now you’d need to be running a PC and connecting anything not supported on the base thru the PC as well - but this is not the typical console user and would Moza do the extra work to enable?

We’ll have to see how it all evolves but likely base units will sell well enough, especially if there are games that support it directly besides GT7

To me this all looks like DD Extreme bundle of Fanatec. But why? They have amazing wheels, they have active pedals. Why create something that Fanatec did already. A missed opportunity

Possibly dictated by PD and/or sony, but maybe also pricepoint & expected volume analysis

High end features need games to exploit them - where are those releases? The one Fanatec advanced display - the ITM - is only supported in one game on console - PMR - after how long? years

But the basic Moza units would drop into GT7 and existing games w/o much effort, while establishing themselves as a player

ZEE
Also why no third pedal folks??? I gotta get me clutch game on!!
That appears to be a SRP2 pedal set, which means you can add a clutch to it, costs around £50 in the UK.

It's not so much the titles that are needed to support stuff like active pedals, but rather the Moza software itself. Pit House allows the kit and the title to talk to each other.

Not really, remember there are a lot of people on Playstation who have cheaper Logitech or Thrustmaster wheels and are looking to upgrade, so to introduce a cheaper direct drive competitor like the R5S Pro makes perfect sense. Moza needs to flesh out their range for PS from there, though. At the moment we don't even know how much these wheels cost or their torque figures, let alone what else is in the pipeline. They've made a good start IMO

Most games would probably support the wheel fine. For more advanced steering wheels with screens, it will be a different story. GT7 and F1 games support telemetry over WiFi, but ACC, for instance, not.

Might as well go back to cup noodles again.

So there is a roadshow organized by a bar known for F1 watch parties.

They have a base Moza R5, and gave it a try.

Felt better than my T598, honestly. Now I have a basis.

If I find myself with the R5S Pro, than I might slap the KS onto it, if it's compatible 😎

Im wondering where this "wheel compatibility" chatter even started. PS compatibility in built in the base, wheels have nothing to do with it. "Compatible/licensed wheel" is a Xbox thing. Yes not all screens etc will be working on PS, but I see zero change a wheel like KS or CS wouldnt work. Same with pedals shifters etc. As long as they are connected to the base. My pedals, shifter and handbrake worked already in R9v2 with Ras1ution 2..

This german YouTuber got a reply from Monza, telling him that everything will work with the ps5 bases except the external screen.

Can you explain? What does it mean everything will work with PS5?

From the official MOZA website:

As far as I am aware this should imply compatibility with current Moza wheels; however though, nothing has been confirmed yet, as with the rest of the figures

All Moza wheels, pedals, shifters etc.
If this is true, this will be INSANE!!!!
I currently have DD+, which is 18 Nm after the update, but I genuinely do not see a difference between 15 and 18 Nm. So 16 Nm is plenty. But Moza wheels and active pedals will be awesome!

Do we know if active pedals will be supported by PlayStation/Gran Turismo?

Not a Moza user, but they have been on my radar for quite a while. On the mailing list. I received this e mail:

@Moza peripherals (wheels, pedals, etc)

It will most likely be like the fanatec stuff. Wheels will work, provided the base is ps compatible, but screens, led's, addotional rotary dials probably won't.
With the active pedals it'll be similar, you won't get full pc like experience becaus of lacking software support.

Moza joining the ecosystem is good news nontheless, even if they just copy what logitech and fanatec have to offer. It'll lower the prices and hopefully thrustmaster will wake up aswell and bring sth. new to the table.

I agree.
I'm planning to upgrade from my T300.
Was waiting for black Friday deals for the DD Pro.
Hope the R5s will be available by then.
