Gran Turismo 7 Is Getting an Official MOZA Wheel with PlayStation Compatibility

I would consider a moza wheel only/not base upgrade if was compatible with PC/PS4 & PS5.

Except have separate brand of pedals - so guessing that would not work great just getting different compatible wheel.

I am satisfied with my Moza R5 and still works like new after a few years.

Hopefully we now have some real competition to Fanatec and with that: products that work, communication that doesnt change every week, products being delivered when communicated and not months after.

We have to wait, but I welcome Moza to PS!

If GT8 will be on PS6 with VR3 support, then Moza wheels, pedals and shifter will be on my 2030 Christmas wishlist...


If not, that's $1500+$2900+$100+$750+$250 (frame)= $6000 in saving.... Yikes

Annoys me they never come with clutches now, I'm not going to be incentivised to switch if I have to immediately pay extra just to be on par with what mine came with.

If they want to compete with Fanatec (and I think they do), they would need to have a complete portfolio, from entry level to top of the line, including their active pedals:-)

Fanatec should be getting nervous - the console business is important to them, especially the premium end

Moza has been stepping it up, both in auto sim and flight sim as well where they’ve taken on some established players very aggressively, while Fanatec has been struggling w SW and HW quality

And flight sim, like at TM, gives Moza a second revenue stream that Fanatec doesn’t have

Really hope Fanatec can keep it together as I’m invested in the eco system - will the competition help motivate? Its uphill for them ATM

It looks cool and its a nice collab with PD, great article Jordan! but I not really a fan of this new MOZA design tbh, of the wheels & button layout, will have to see it in action when at the TGS show, should someone film it being played on GT7.

I just find the middle circle with the buttons on it quite ugly, the paddles look kinda cheap and plasticky too. Also why no third pedal folks??? I gotta get me clutch game on!! I know aesthetics may not be to everyone's taste for racing wheels, but if I am purchasing a expensive racing wheel like this R16S ultra for example, I wanna be happy looking at it, day in day out when playing GT7.

I kinda preferred there newly licensed Porsche, Merc and Ford racing wheels as a better look & kit for playing the game.

So Moza follows Thrustmasters errors. Missing the 8-9nm sweetspot to sell more 16nm? Who is the simpleton at their marketing thinking this works? 😂 Leaves 8nm all for Fanatec - by contract? 🤔 Really hope for Mozas sake that R5s is upgradable to 8-9nm.

Used to have R9v2 and Moza has some great products - KS, CSv2 etc, but R9 was and is the star of the show. Not making R9s looks weird.

The rim looks to be plastic/rubber like the dd pro GT and Thrustmaster T598. Othervise layout look pretty good. Just hope its 300mm - not that 280mm nonsense basic GT wheels have been. Now after Fanatec Formula V3 even the 280mm formula users admit 290mm is "better". 😁 And those flat buttons on the center might not be the best idea, even though they look cool. Searching L2/R2 or menu there with your finger while driving? Should have atleast rubberized the buttons.

Wondering if their "trueforce" 400hz or what ever it was comes to PS/GT7.. It is quite good in iRacing.

Insert from the article: The press release describes it as working with “the compatible MOZA steering wheel of your choice”, which is a little vague. Whether that means every current MOZA rim, or a subset that’s been through PlayStation’s certification, remains to be seen.

There is a chance that the other wheel designs from Moza you like better will work with the wheel base anyway. When it comes to clutchs, I guess they reckon if the gearshift is sold sepretely than so should the pedal

Racing wheel probably as in a racing wheel mate. They're all controllers, you're thinking of a Gamepad, which is a type of controller and what the Dualsense is.

It’s a shame the base is limited to just one shifter. Until Moza offers a combo H pattern/sequential shifter, you’ll have to either pick just one or constantly plug and unplug them. Fanatec remains the best in this regard, making it easy to switch between console and PC.
