Well, just as it says. What kind of pencil do you use? I personally like .5mm mechanical or #2 sharpened to a pinpoint.

I rarely use a pencil; mostly one of several fountain pens for writing or sketching. When I do use a pencil it's either a Pentel or Kohinoor 0.5mm mechanical with H or HB lead for drafting, or a Berol #314 for sketching

I use a 0.5mm mechanical pencil. They're great, I never have to sharpen my pencil again. Plus, they're good for drawing and sketching.

I've always used a wood, #2 pencil. I see nothing wrong with them. I lose pencils far too often to merit buying anything nice.

I use a pen whenever i can. I like the smoothness of pens much better. I like to use black pens that aren't too much like a fountain pen.

If i have to use a pencil, i use .5 mechanical.

I dunno the number or anything.. But I use Dixon Ticonderoga's and Marido Black Warriors. :) So uh..I'm a nerd, I guess..

I use .5mm mechanical pencils because I write relatively small.

I like Zebra .5mm the best.

I use those and if I absolutely must use pen, I'll use an ultra-fine tip Pilot or anything similar as long as it has the ultra-fine tip and the ink dries very fast. I write very very small, and I write left handed. Combine that with the fact that I write fast and well...within 5 minutes, my hand will be black and you won't be able to read half of whatever it is that I wrote

I never use a pencil anymore. I use a micro-point permanent ink pen. Apparently, people who steal checks from mailboxes can't remove the ink from the checks without destroying the check.

@ solidlifters
at low resolution on a 17 inch monitor, that pencil still isn't as big as my...well...never mind. That doesn't change the fact that it's huge though

#2 .5mm mechanical pencil for normal work
#1 ballpoint pens (prefer black or blue) for English work.
#1 Wooden HB pencils for sketching .. doodling

I switch, depending on the task. For math, I always use pencil, because I would feel dirty if I did it in pen. I my other classes, I'll usually use pen for notes, pencil for classwork and homework – The reasoning behind this is that I write much sloppier in pen, but also much faster and easier, so that's why I take notes in pen, then do work that my teachers grade in pencil so that it's legible and there aren't any scribbles.

For my pencil, I use a Pentel P207, 0.7mm (0.5mm is way too damn thin and stupidly hard to erase, especially for someone who writes dark as I do). My pen is a nice ballpoint that my dad got for free from Continental Graphics. It's quite heavy and the grip is pretty wide, but I like it like that.

Here's a pic (BTW, it's apparently called a Pentel Sharp P207C, and is a drafting pencil).

The thing is incredibly durable (everything but the barrel is made of metal, and the barrel itself is an extremely thick and strong plastic), and I've never had one jam on me. And the metal clip is fun to play with.

Oh. My. God.

You must have no life Jpec is you actually care what type of pencil people prefer to use.

Nevertheless, I use a mixture of mechanical pencils. Just whatever looks cool at the store the day I go is usually what I get. I prefer .5 lead when compared to .7, .5 writes more fine.

I use a large collection of pens consisting of...

1. BiC grip med. for sketching
2. Penstix 0.3mm or Sharpy twin tip for line weight
3. Prismacolor or Tria markers for shading

I don't really use pencil much anymore.

I use an 0.5mm Mechanical or a 2B wooden pencil if I'm being "arty", actually thats a lie I use Crayons (lame joke intended)
