What Language Do You Think In?

I know that most of you type very well in English, but what language do you all think in during the day?

I think in English by the way.

Real Englsih, not American English. I do find myself thinking in German from time to time though.

I think as a convention of delegates, especially when I'm learning. Some representatives of my conscience or thoughts can have accents from around the world, but it's always in English.

I pretty much always think in English. Although there was a period of about two months around my French trip where I did all my thinking in French.

Yes, American English sounds quite a bit different then British English...example: in the US we call them wrenches but in the UK they call them spanners.

True. Although we use and say Torque Wrenches (or at least my Dad does).

I don't know. I usually like to speak in US English more than the UK English that we learn here. But other than the spelling and the words, I like to speak with an American accent, British accent is too hard for me or if I feel like it, I will speak Manglish

Well, being American, you generally tend to think in "American English" I suppose. Thing is, I usually add a bit of British or German flair too it once in a while depending on what mood I'm in, although, the voices inside my head can change at any minute.

both my parents are vietnamese but i was born here in us, i almost forgot how to speak my language, i can only speak little but i understand a lot. i think in english now, i used to think in vietnamese when i was a little child.

Those that think in a second (of even fourth) foreign language, are you fluent in that language?

No, I'm not fluent in German. There are just certain common phrases and day to day things (such as swearing) that just pop up in German. I have a mate from Czech who is fluent in German and we have a laugh and joke in German all the time, but I'm not fluent in it.

I only ask because my Spanish AS lecture once told me that you know your fluent when you dream in that language.
