Hah hah, w00t.
I am such a dork. Ones childhood can never be questioned, however.
Of course, this one purchase of a TV show DVD has opened up the floodgates. Now I already have a back catalogue of 5 different TV shows, starting with AoStH when it comes out on the 27th of July.

Just got my X-Files boxset today. Cant wait to actually start to watch them.

The Village - I used to slam this movie, too, I'm sorry. It was like $4, and I felt like watching it again. It was much better the second time around. 👍

Well over the past few weeks ive picked up a few more DVD's/BD's

Open Season BD
Enemy Of The State BD
The Fountain BD
Rome series 1 DVD

I bought a few DVD's earlier today.

The Shawshank Redemption - 3 disk special edition
Superman Retuurns
The Sentinel

I picked up 3 films for a tenner today.

We Were Soldiers
Saving Private Ryan: Special Edition
Black Hawk Down: Special Edition

I've been buying movies like crazy lately. Blockbuster has been selling all the pre-owned movies 3 for 20 bucks, so yeah. I bought (past month):

The Departed
Snakes On a Plane
Thank You For Smoking
Lucky Number Slevin
Inside Man
A History Of Violence

and from Gamestop the other day:
The butterfly Effect
The Fast And The Furious
Frailty
Rush Hour 2
Black Hawk Down
Bandits

Unfortunately, I haven't really got to watch any of them lately.. As soon as Blockbuster gets some new movies on sale, I'm getting more though. I'm working on a badarse movie collection.

Got Blood Diamond on BD today, going to watch it tonight.

I was tempted to buy that earlier today, but I'm going to wait for a special edition and try to get it for under £10 which is my self imposed limit per single DVD.

I tend to buy allot of mine from places like play, but I was let out of work a few hours early and decided to go to HMV and saw this was out an did a bit of an impulse buy, £26 so bad for one film, but I needed to watch something :D

Also ordered The Ice Harvest on DVD LINK

the last time I spent over £10 on one film was Casino Royale which wasn't that long ago, but it came with a little set photo's book as well as the special edition CD. But then I bought that with some vouchers and not cash. I did see The Blood Diamond 2 disk version in HMV earlier today for £26 and had I had the cash or a card on me I'd have been tempted, but I'm going to wait on it a little while.

What I am looking for though and not to definitely buy but just to find out if I want to buy it or not, is a film I don't know the name of, it's set during WW I and it's in the trenches, it's set during Christmas when the two sides stopped fighting for one night and then the next day they started killing each other again..

You might want to resurect my old thread Need to find a film? but it does sound familiar, is it a recent movie?

Got some more DVD's today:

Water Boy
The Longest Yard
Big Daddy
Happy Gilmore

you can see a theme :D

all picked up for £3 - £5 from ASDA

also got Cheaper By The Dozen 2, for my mum ;)

Got:

Code 46
Friday Night Lights
Judgment night

on DVD

You bought them all to BBQ so no other poor bugger has to sit through them i hope.

ha ha ha, I do like Sandler (puts on flame proof suit) he's not a great actor, hes not even that funny in some films, but the films are like the american pie movies and other films of the gross out ilk, I like to watch them after a stressful day at work they may be bad but they make me chuckle and de-stress me. its probably not a good thing that I like them, but I also like harry potter, fat girls & sprouts too.

Equilibrium - I've always loved this film, despite it having a plotline akin to a blackhole. I kept meaning to buy it, and finally got round to it the other day, along with;

Shaun of the Dead - Again, I always kept meaning to buy this film since I first saw it and finally got around to it, with a little persuasion from my UCAS card - "5% off all purchases from Play.com (you'll need that money when you're a student.)"

:dopey:

Yeh I spent all my student loan on beer and swooning the ladies, when I was at uni, Oh those were the days.

I bought the 2 disk special edition of Childeren of Men the other day.

I'm thinking of buying Saints and Soldiers but it's only 85 mins long and I'm not sure if it'll just be a long action scene of if it'll actually pull off the "you care for the characters even though the film is short" thing that not many shorter films manage to pull off imo.

I'm looking to buy The Dish as well, but I can't find it for less than £10 anywhere local, it's £12 on Amazon and Play.com and it's a few years old. Also I'm still wating for Deja Vu and Blood Diamond to come down in price a bit.

Its not a bad film, and TBH there is hardly any action only a few sequences, with all the awards and reviews plastered over the cover it really wasn't that good, the plucky brit is a bit cliche, but over all its an ok war movie, just not as good as I was hoping, and I did only pay £3 for it. If it wasnt for the post office going on strike, I would ask you to PM me with your address and you could have my copy. If you can think of any other courier that I could send it by I would.

The thoughts appreciated but keep it, it's your copy. I could probably pick it up for not much more than the postage anyhow :cheer:;).

1-Devil's Advocate with Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino.
2-Jackie Brown with Pam Grier/Samuel L. Jackson/Robert Foster/Bridget Fonda/Michael Keaton and Robert De Niro.
3-Broken Arrow with John Travolta and Christian Slater.
4-The Game with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn.

I bought Hollywood Land today, I'm just going to start watching it tonight.

Got rid of my DVD versions of Pirates of the caribbean COTBP & DMC and got them on BD instead :D great stuff. that makes a total of 13 BD movies now.
