My contract is running out at christmas and I'm looking for a new phone to replace my ageing HTC wildfire. I have been looking at the Orange San Diego, seems good spec for £15.50 a month. Opinions??

I tried the San Diego a bit and from what I can see, it's an amazing phone for it's price. Definately good value for money from what I've seen.

Well my Galaxy Nexus updated to Android 4.1 the other day and so far I have to say I'm pretty satisfied, everything is a little more refined with the commands and it seems much more responsive.

Only two faults I noticed was the fact the battery seems to drain slightly faster and the startup time seems to vary, sometimes it is no longer than before and sometimes it hangs on the Google screen for about 2 minutes.

Same here with the Nexus but the update happened two days ago for me. So far I've owned the phone for 5 days and because of that I can't comment about the battery losing life compared to before the update. Though I love the phone. Call quality is excellent. I can tell the tone and clarity of the voices easily compared to my old phone. I still have not played with all of the features of the phone yet. Played with some free apps. Like Unlock Car and a stopwatch App. I'm really liking my first personal smartphone experience.

LG Optimus L7.

My very first cellular was a Siemens A35. I had it for a day and then lost it. No big deal as it was barely working and horribly outdated even then. Some time after that I had a Siemens C60, It was so nice, I miss it. Then a Nokia 6020 that broke down a week after the warranty expired. After that I bought a used Samsung D500 and it was indestructable. Then followed an LG GD500 - my first touchscreen. Now my mom uses it. Samsung Galaxy Mini was next, an ugly laggy piece of whatnot, I never liked it. And now I have that LG. So far so good.

No I own for an Apple I Phone 4S and very soon I hope to buy a Samsung Galaxy S3 for me. There are many apps what I need in GalaxyS3 and I feel if I buy that my works will be easier than before.

I have a iPhone 4S. I've dropped it so much but I do have a life proof case on it but its trashy. It wasn't life proof enough for me & my brothers.

I don't have a phone.

Then why are you posting in the thread about having a phone? Think. Before. Posting.

I"m still on the HTC EVO 3D. Waiting to see what Sprint roles out for their network in the area before committing to a new LTE device, because it is kind of a toss up between Sprint's pricing and Verizon's coverage here.

O' my gawd. You destroyed it in a LifeProof case. Never had any issues with mine and will get the next one for the 5.

No We destroyed the life proof case. The phones only problems are caused by us. The problems are the mic for talking echoes bad for the other person, & sometimes the speaker doesn't work because I got water in it. But I love my iPhone That's what I'm using to type this right now.

How did you destroy the lifeproof?
I like it alot better than any other case for it. Well Mophie has a nice one with a built-in power supply.
Be gentle on your next phone and case...💡

My brothers helped a lot. Just being rough on it. They crashed into the phone & broke the bottom part off that covers the charging part, & the vibrate switch rubber is gone because my bro kept turning on & off. It was a bad habit he had. & I do like it this case a lot. I probably wouldn't have this phone if it wasn't for the case. I drop my phone a lot. I dropped it today actually. & I probably should be very careful. I could have got the new iPhone 5 soon but my mom doesn't want my phone because it gives a bad echo while talking on my phone. So that means she would maybe get the new phone. My dad hates talking to me on my phone because of the echo.

My son killed his iphone and had to use a crappy flipphone for doing it. My 5 should be in Wednesday and he'll be upgrading to my old 4. If he craps it out no more iphones for him only old school "hand me downs". lol

Ok cool about the iPhone 5. I love the iPhone & don't want anything else. I text a lot & check up on Facebook & GT planet too & find the iPhone to my liking. We do the hand me down with phones too. I iPhone I have now has my dads, my mom got my iPhone 4, my dad got a thunderbolt, & my one bro had a old phone of mine, just a old texting phone but it had problems so he has a old flip phone now.

I've had a black 64gig iPhone 5 for about a month now, and I think it's brilliant. Before that, I was using an motorola razr for about 6 years! It went through three batteries and two exterior colours.

Still using my N97 mini, but recently just bought the new Nokia Asha 309 as my second phone. At MYR300, it is very cheap and is full of features! It's not really a smartphone but it does what it does for that price range. Mine is in white :)

how is old your son?

I have the samsung galaxy S3. Upgraded from an iphone. I really like the iphone epically since before that was a blackberry and razr so it was such a jump, but after getting the S3 I almost feel bad every time I use it. Like I'm cheating on my iphone lol. I love it tho by far best phone I ever used. Mines not rooted and so far I have not found virtually anything it can't do stock. I can change anything I want or customize everything to my liking. Got a micro USB to go cable for like 2 bucks and now I can use my ps3 controller to play games on it and or plug in usb hard drives/sticks. The big ass screen is great too. I wasn't super happy about carrying a massive phone around with me but it's super thin and light so you don't really notice it. Just all the benefits of more screen real estate. Iphone still holds the title of best screen out there tho. This one is pretty good but nothing touches retina display.

I have a Samsung E900 that I've had for the past 7 or so years because I've stubbornly refused to upgrade to a touch screen or a smartphone.
