Use the poll to tell the people what we Gran Turismo fans really want.

None of the things on the poll worry me. I'd prefer to see:

Australia cars!
A paint shop (to respray cars once your sick of their colour)
Body kit shop (includes mufflers/tips)
Skid marks
Customizable weather

I think thats about all for now.

What sort of Aussie cars are you talking about.

Fords & Holdens?

I think you guys were lucky to even get the Telford Falcon.

I would like to see some Beemers like the new M3 & M5.

Yep, Fords and Holdens. We got one Ford, it would have been nice to see a few more, and of course, Ford's rival Holden! I'm a big Holden fan and would love to see every model included, but know thats a big ask. But maybe just a couple, 2001 model, 1992 model and a 1988 (turboed!).

GVX - you think we were lucky to get one car included? i'm hoping thats a sarcastic comment as I know heaps of aussies who love this game and I think if it came down to who deserves what cars, then we should have seen a lot more local cars included. Of course if it was sarcastic comment, then its all good (and its the tickford falcon, not telford:p ).

I agree that there should have been alot more cars in GT3 and in an ideal world we would have every car manufacturer represented.

You should read the following interview it's essential reading for any GT fan.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know if ya'll know who Kazunori Yamauchi is. Well, he is the creator of the GT series that we like so much. Video-Senki got an exclusive interview with him, and damn, it's a good one. Answers many questions I've had, like, do F1s really handle like that? And why they had to cut back on the number of cars in the game.

Read it, I think it's worth your time and answers many many questions and brings up new topics.

Come on, once you get a good car here, you can race(and win easily) 98% of the races. The only ones you can't race with the Formula1 cars are Sliver Arrow, VWBeetle, and Vitz. They should also restrict American to american cars(and same with Japanese.&euro), like in GT1.

I like what VL calais said about the paint shop also the HSV commodore as well as all the cars that are missing from GT 1 - 2.

Have you guys forgotten about the 2nd hand cars that used to change throughout the length of the game?

I think that a good idea would be if you had to get your licence for the particular level you want to race (beginner) but you can't get the next level licence untill you finish the current level completely. Another idea would be to pay to race ie. $5,000 to enter the beginner Yaris class (for example) and if you win you'll win a car and some cash, it would also be good if you could sell your trophies or trade them for cars.

What about an area where you race another car for cash or their car? Or a dyno test for cash ie: GTR challenge?

I also think that some of the races should be hidden untill you get enough experience and then it offers you a race?

I agree that the good ( top line ) cars are released way to early in the game. Maybe a certain level of car for the percent that you're into the game?

Just what I think how about you?
(Had the game a week and I'm at 45% through and very sleepy)

i say we all write a letter to EA and ask for the licenses for all the exotic cars (lambos, ferrari, porcshes, etc.) In addition, the M5, CLK-GTR, E55 AMG and many other european cars would be very nice to have.

Other things:

*Customizable weather
*more cars
*realistic cockpits
*body and aero kits (like Tokyo Extreme Racer: Zero)

If these and many other of our suggestions were put into GT4, it would make it one of the greatest games of all time!

Word on the street is that the BMW M cars are licensed to someone else...

What I would like to see in the next GT is multiplayer split screen ilink mode and ilink simulation mode..

You can't always have 3 or 4 tv's in every room. Also, we need to get a modem for PS2 soon, then have that act as an iLink.

I think in order to make the end of the game more challanging they should make F1 cars a whole different race. Kinda like rally races. This would make so you use different cars for different tracks, not the same F1 car over and over. It would also add a new chalange and element (The F1 racing section to the game).

IMAO, there are a few things GT1 had that we need in GT4.

First, a decent gearing graph. I'm not talking the uninformative, pansy gearing graph from GT3 either. Y'see, I used to actually use that little number at the side that told you the engine RPM after a red-line upshift when I adjusted my gears.
GT2 had no graph at all, so I had to use my butt-dyno. (Kinda hard since the PS[X/2] don't kick ya in the pants like a REAL 'vette.) And the graph in GT3 is nearly as useless as there are no markings or anything; it's just a pretty picture.

Second, boost control. Easy way to balance the need for raw power while minimizing/mitigating turbo lag. I dunno about you, but I care more about acceleration than just dyno numbers.

Third, I miss the dyno charts. Just having the peak HP and torque figures gives no real info about the powercurve of the car. I mean, aside from trial and error, how d'ya know if your engine completely sucks below 6000 RPM (*cough*Honda), or gets 80-90% down low? WEll you could just lokk...at...where'd they go?
