how about this...

Monday morning, we are taking a stroll in the mall. Walk ofcourse buy our local Game Stop and see a huge sign saying "GT4 is Here! Get yours today!"

hmm... i think that'd be about the best i could think of... :)

Not to be rude or anything but, things aren't surprises unless we play the game first. But since it isn't out, your guess is as good as mine about any surprises. Now let me just come up with a few thoughts as to what COULD happen:

(A) Lamborghini in GT4 from the Miura to the Lamborghini Gallardo. It will include at least two race cars including a generic-sponsored Lamborghini Supertrophy race car, the Nomad Diablo in the Japanese GT Championship, and even the Murcielago GT-Rs racing in the ALMS and JGTC. The concept car would be the Lamborghini Canto.

(B) It may be unnoticable at first, but dynamic changes in time and weather (no precipitation) may be apparent in longer races. Imagine racing El Capitan on a cloudy day, and the clouds break open to beautiful sunshine. Then as the sun is breaking through the clouds, you eventually find out it's sunset by the time the race is over.

Other than that, it's not a surprise if it's announced. Carry on, please. :)

GT concept had leaves on autumn ring. They are so coll.I always get the 7 speed R35 skyline LM and drive on the side of the ride and wach the leaves flying around:D

I would be really happy if PD has gone to the Vinatge Races, like on this page - 2002 Historics. I got into sports cars back in the late '50s. I'm now about to turn 60 myself!

I want to drive:

a Bizzarrini A3C
a Chaparral
a Cooper Monaco
an Elva Mk.7
a Lotus 23B
a Maserati Tipo 60 (Birdcage)
a Porsche RSK
a Scarab

Now those were sports cars - nice and small - sounded wonderful. If you look at the photos, notice how big the drivers are compared to the cars - they almost look fake - but thats what those cars looked like.

Now that would be a great suprise! :)
And folks, those are fabulous historic racing cars!
And good looking to boot!
I agree. However I read the emphasis for GT4 will be mostly on 80's and 90's cars. As confirmed they are including older "important" cars, but I wouldn't expect too many 50's and 60's racers. Or it really would be a surprise :)

3 surpises...okey.
1. GT4 is going to be realesed.
2. A uniqe track if complete the arcade mode.
3. You can use NOS only in drag races.

Lol.
1 - Yes, that would be a good idea. A very good idea.
2 - Why not make it two? Or the eight 'bonus' tracks KY mentioned in an interview once?
3 - DEFINATELY. If NOS is available in other races, I thik I'll go right off GT4.

Do you race?

Yes. But actually , who needs it anyway?

Racer-boys with more money than sense? Posers? People who need an over-hyped bhp boost to make up for lacklustre driving skills? Dreamers who think they're street racers? I don't know, pick one, but as it's in there, it should only - and I mean only - be used for drag racing.

I would say with 1 word : wannabes (?)
The only good with it , it does improve your time :D

When GT4 is released many suprises will be reveiled......trust me. :)
Are you sure you aren't KY or someone from PD in disguise? Because you keep guaranteeing all this stuff ... 'many surprises' ... '800+ cars' ... where's the proof, because, quite frankly, I don't trust it ...

Well maybe a flatland(BMX) contest ? Or Bikini contest , where u needto make some "shots" of ur girlfriend and make a polygon version of her and let her dance around a arta nsx in photo mode .

but to the questions.

no ferraris, i hope ( pr. Lambos ) and well porsches like in gt3 under the name of RUF
, and im sure with just a few ones ( max5 cars ).

So i think the only surprise was canceling the online mode in gt4 , for them , not for us. And What can you expect, when a super TEam like PD does some fault giving us the oppurtunity to play a "manager" ( B MODE ) . srz thats a huge mistake.
But i hope they put the feature , not as only part of the game , maybe we need to play manager in some categories.....

other surprise ... well maybe some heavy trucks or bikes,, or a and now i know :

A FREE VRESION OF MOTORTOONGRAND PRIX IS incl. with some nice graphics.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

So want just the game , like in the past ... just racing game , no foto sh... or manager sh... , but maybe they can enterta. us (fotomode).

good night good fight

The three surprises I'm expecting:

1) The Spa Francorchamps circuit ( yes, over Le Mans)

2) Lambo will be in with a decent lineup 👍 👍 👍 .

3) Maserati is in despite the lack of Ferrari's (Maserati gives its license to Gt4 using its indepandence from Ferrari).

and many more cars not revealed but that I expect very much.

See ya :sly:

This is a wishlist thread. As I see. I guess.
And no exotic cars will bemade into GT4 like Lambo , Ferrari or other.
That would ruin the game. Imo.

GT wasn't a exoctic car game like nfs:hp2. It wont ruin the game it's just doesn't feel right.
And one ? is enough.

R-Class could consist of a few JGTC cars, LMPs and maybe other racers, but would only be available once you completed a certain amount of the simulation side of the game ... after all we don't want to get our hands on them after doing not much in the way of practice.

Hum... there was a class like thet in GT3, for those who don't know and it eas called the S class.

See ya :sly:

Aren't there already quite a few exotics in GT? GT2 had the Vector (I really miss that car), GT3 had the Zonda, R390, XJ220.. those are "exotics" in the same vein as Ferrari's and Lambo's.

As far as "surprises" go... are there any remaining chances prior to release for PD to announce anything? Any more game shows, etc? Or will they have to rely entirely on press releases and demos for the news mags/sites?

^ Im actually quite scared that PD may not release anymore info until the game is released.....some may say that it is a good thing because it keeps the suprise...but it will drive you insane....I really want to know everything about the game and any bit of new info! :scared:

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

I dont think that PD shuold release info on the game when the game releases. The surprise shouldnt be said AFTER like it get releases because then people might know the surprise and didnt even load there game yet. The info should be kept quiet and let the customer start an online positive remark! :O

For example, IF Ferrari and Porsche are in...they won't tell us. When we get our copy and scroll through the car selection menus....we will notice something very CATCHY in our eyes!

FERRARI
PORSCHE

And I would go VERY crazily happy over it and laugh and go on GTplanet and spam my happiness insanitiness of craziness! :O:O:O

Hum... there was a class like thet in GT3, for those who don't know and it eas called the S class.

S-Class was also in GT2 and consisted mostly of a mismatched variety under-powered cars such as the Renault Clio Sport (259bhp) alongside 400bhp cars such as the Vector M12, Selby Cobra Coupe, Jaguar XKR etc. I'm hoping GT4 will have a class devoted entirely to racing cars.

I wouldn't get my hopes up to high, let alone expect PD to put in Spa, I don't think that will happen as the old circuit is nothing like the new (for which the licence to use has been snaffed by a dozen companies). AnI I certainly won't bet on Lamborghinis - after the Japanese GT3 stunt I don't think PD is going to risk putting unlicenced cars in again. As Cosmic said, too many exotic cars would ruin the game. GT is all about racing everyday cars, so if you put the likes of Ferrari and Lambo and Porsche in, it sort of takes the focus off some really great 'normal' cars becuse everyone will be aiming to get the exotic racers and will only use them. I seem to recall Kaz mentioning something along the lines of this in an niterview about GT2 and I don't think his philosophy has changed much.

But one this that would be great is the use of the Bank. In one screenshot, all the various features of simulation mode were displayed, including 'Flea Market' and 'Bank.' I think the bank will be to borrow money if you fall on hard times to let you get back into racing - because you'll have to pay entry fees to compete, you might have to fix any damage (as in a bent steering arm, not physical damage) and maybe even pay wages to your pit crew (hey, they might be made of polygons, but they aren't gonna work for free!), so I think Bank will be an important part of the game early on - the further you get into your career as a driver, the more money you win and the easier it is to pay for these things.

I wonder what the Flea Market is? Maybe a place where you can buy cheaper second-hand parts and/or slightly damaged cars. Mind you, physical damgae will not be a part of GT4 because it's too hard to implement crumpled polys and KY says its important not to get into a situation where some cars will appear damaged but others don't.

I wonder what the possibility of qualifying appearing in GT4???

Maybe they could use some kind of qualifying structure, and depending on your qualifying performance the game chooses who you are to race against.

However I wouldn't know how they deal with 'sand-bagging' qualifying... maybe it calculates the potential performance of your car dependant on HP & Weight???

Maybe it picks cars you race against with this kind of 'performance index'. Choosing cars to compete against that are either at your cars level or higher...

This of course doesn't take into the consideration that the AI for GT4 has dramatically improved and will now provide a real challenge...
