I use the bumper cam. Not only does it give me the best sense of speed, it allows me to see everything that's immediately infront of me, and though it may not be "real", it works for me =Þ

I use bumper too its the best. better than any other one. you can feal your car and easy to test then with any other cam

before gt4 i was always driving chase view, but in gt4 this view suck, the car is fix witht the camera, so i use hood view cam, good sense of speed and how the car bounce on the road.

cheers

gt's bumper cam has never really been a bumper cam...
its always been what it was labeled as in previous GT games (when you'd pick your default camera)... cockpit cam
with no cockpit visible... its more of a dashboard camera.

Roof cam all the way. I would go bumper cam, but in GT4 that view dips too much when under heavy braking and it puts me off a little.

Bumber cam all the way...until PD/Sony comes out w/a in-car view...

Bumber cam, as stated above, gives me better visibility and provides the best sense of 'speed' and IMHO, is the only view out of the 3 options available that is comes off as being 'real'....

For almost all my cars I use the bumper cam. I like the view close to the ground. The only other view I use is the roof cam for my Formula Gran Turismo because the look reminds be of the bonnet cam in real F1 cars.

The roof cam is just too tall and far back. It should have been a hood camera instead (or a front-window camera if you prefer).

Anyway, I always use the bumper cam. It allows better control over the car.

I use roof cam. Though I love the "cockpit" cam. It nose dives way too much under braking and that just really throws me for a loop. That just doesn't happen in real life. If it does, honestly, I never noticed it. But it drives me absolutely nutty. Also I like to see my car. I just wish it were a real in-car cam. Or atleast a hood cam.

I would use the roof cam, but as DiabolicalMask says, it's too tall and far back. On some less renowned racing games like TOCA, there was a bonnet/hood view, which was perfect. It actually looked like it would for the driver without obscuring anything.

But, as there is no bonnet/hood view, then I use bumper cam only.

OMG I didn't know so many people used the bumper cam, personally I use chase view as I like to see my car and when you in a spin or sharp corner you can see where the car is on the track. Always used it and always will until an 'in car' view with dach and steering wheel comes along I remember that in an old need for speed game I've gt and I loved it ohh well

i use the roof cam, it gives be a better view of how the car is on the road.. this was immensely helpful at LeMans where speed is important in all corners

GT1 < chase
GT2 < chase
GT3 < chase
GT4-P < chase
GT4 < bumper

Bumper = sense of speed, sound, good view of gauges!

Bumper camera except for the caterham that is a real hood camera! :) :dopey:
Do oyu know any other car that gives the perfect view like the Caterham?

Before I got the wheel, I always played chase car because I liked to see the car while I was steering it. Now I have a wheel, the chase car feels completely wrong to me. I think it might be because the DS2 made me feel more like I was remote driving the car, where as the wheel makes me feel like I am actually driving the car. So now I always use bumper cam. If they's have had a hood cam I might have used that.

I use bumper cam but I recognize that you can still drive at the limit with the roof cam. However, it is absolutely impossible to drive at the limit with the helicopter view.
People who use that view are not real racer.

It's strange, I've only ever seen kids under the age of 13 using the chase cam, I didn't realise any real gamers used it.

its about the same percentage as people that use AT and ASC.
