If you can, please, please make a thread about it. I'm not that good to be able to modify them.

I'm just actually going to get GranTurgismo paddles for my DFGT. As for the pedals, maybe a squash ball or a bungee cord will do. I wasn't really planning on opening them up since I'm never good with that kinda stuff. I also don't wanna void my warranty.

If you really are serious about modding them, I found a vid for you (this guy also made the GranTurgismo paddles):

Hope it helps :)

Love my DFGT. Ever since I began using it, my game has improved tremendously. Is this only about GT5? Well, I use it for GT4,3; Shift1, 2; TDU2; RR7; Burnout . . ..

The DFGT is very 'tweakable'. Play with it (and around with the settings) and eventually one learns to 'tune' it to simulate real driving as well as the software driving it is written to simulate reality. Have tried it, using GT5 as the software, and have kids as young as 6 drive the Lupo Cup, and win.

200 degree logitech other (df-ex) here 👍

The good ol' days of GT3, eh? 👍 .

EDIT: Logitech Driving Force GT (Drifting Force GT in my case :)👍 ) is dominating at the moment. Followed by the G27...

I use the DFGT simply because it's the easiest GOOD wheel to get ahold of without ordering online. I also have the front seats from a '97 BMW 3 series (grey leather) which I use with my wheel (bought them to use as Top Gear style furniture mostly, £20 each off an old friend). Since having the BMW seats to use, driving feels more natural for me considering I used to sit on a wooden box!

Have to agree that the DFGT is the easiest FFB wheel to get a hold of that still has some decency. Still I saw an DFP on ebay recently going for £60. If you could mod it to turn faster then you would save yourself a lot of money :) .

I use the G27. I wanted to get a DFGT, but I always convince myself to buy better things usually.

i have nothing to compare my DFGT to but 80 quid from Argos ..a bargain.

made the game more enjoyable without a doubt,so much so i started again with everything off, even the HUD ....

LMAO is it just a coincidence that I bought my DFGT from the same shop?

2 days in and the Logitech G's (g25 + g27) have surpassed the DFGT in total votes! I know, I know... not fair to group two wheels together but they are basically the same wheel (technically there are some slight differences). But I am biased! lol.

DFGT's --- 63 votes
Logitech G's --- 66 votes

(total votes 179)

..also we have a healthy 12 votes for the Thrustmaster T500. Any proud owners of this wheel want to tell us how she performs? Does the feedback transfer the subtle feelings of traction loss/regain? Will it spin at a high speed when you let go from a full turn, as when using the drifting 'powersteering' method? Is it quiet? Can you buy a separate H-Shifter to use with it? Some reviews of the T500 have not been very favorable when cost is figured in.

I cannot wait until the next Logitech wheel is announced- as I love my G25 and have heard from guys who have dismantled them that the internals are over-engineered. That can only be a good sign for things to come...

Thanks to everyone for voting! Let's keep this thing going!

:gtpflag:

For GT4 i still have Logitech Driving force Pro (a beast at that time).
And since GT5 HD (then prologue and GT5 of course) i own a Logitech G27.
and use it on my PC with rFactor, rFactor2 beta, pCARS, GTR2, GTR Evo/Race07,Ferrari Virtual Academy,Dirt 1,2,3 (arcade as hell but fun lol), RBR (the best rally game ever) and many more.
I play GT5 more than any of those. rFactor 2 and testing pCARS time to time.

I got my DFGT from Argos too, the year before GT5 was released. I had to do loads of searches of their online store to find one that was in stock in a local branch (delivery from supplier had stopped at that time). I managed to find a store in Worksop which had one unit left and immediately drove over there. It seemed a bit deer at £80 - I had never had a force feedback wheel before then.

When I got it out at home and set it up I was very impressed. It breathed so much new life into GT5P.

The DFGT is a great wheel for the money. Eventually I will upgrade to a G27, but that comes after the Samsung D6530 46" set I'm saving up for 👍

I know how you feel. Any time you looked, the DFGT at Argos was always out of stock :( . But now its not too bad, you can probably get away with the last 4 or so wheels in stock.

Logitech Momo force. (red) Used it since GT3. Leather wheel, aluminum paddle shifters and good pedals. A pity I can't use my frex shifter as well.

If that had a 11" wheel rim and 900 degree rotation, then I would consider that as my dream budget wheel :)👍 .

G25 since GT5p. Just such a nice wheel.

Or you could make the flappy paddles the e-brake, which works well for me.

I am a very experienced drifter, and I find myself using the handbrake a lot. Most of the time when you e-brake, the car violently whips to the side, not to mention the wheel moving countersteering all the way left/right too. If your e-brake was the paddle shifters, then IMO would be very awkward.

Driving Force GT but having just done the 9 hour race in A-spec mode, I've got a feeling that I'll use a DS3 for the two 24 hour races.

I am a very experience drifter to as you can see from my sig and have used the flappy paddles since 08' when I got the g25. I don't use the e-brake all that much since I don't need to and I just don't like using it.

I wouldn't risk using my wheel for the 24 hour races either.
