What would constitute Spec 3 ?

I´ll just settle for more wheel choices (maybe GT4 wheels for standards), fixing some minor glitches like the problems with the tachometers and speedometers in some cars, the annoying paddle shifting animations (if they haven´t been fixed already), and fixes in some cars engine sounds (they did it with the LFA, so I don´t see how can´t they fix other cars). Oh, and widening the axles in the Premium M5 a little bit, and fixing the location of its front brake calipers. That would make a huge difference on it´s look. The standard one is fine...

Other than that, I don´t see the need for more changes. Oh! and a drag strip would be nice. They don´t need to make one, just adding the full runway at the TGTT would be more than enough.

That and:

Another 100+ cars / 20+ of which are premium at least. RUF premiums? Older Ferrari premiums (360 etc). VW Jetta premium. A few other specific ones. Testarossa? More european and american cars from the 50's - 80's. More group C etc cars. More F1 cars?

Upgraded physics again (tire width?)

More wheels and more options for standard models. More aerokit options.

Streamlined oil change/engine restore/chassis restore etc for multiple cars at once.

Faster loading garage.

Trade limits relaxed somewhat.

Lobby aspect to online racing plus other modes: drift, drag, etc

More photo locations.

Perhaps just a bleh free roam in a blank world of some sort? Like that city map in one of the intro videos?

Improved sounds.

Wow. You just made the next Gran Turismo. Although most things you mentioned are great and some are much needed, lets try and leave something for GT6.

As a note, If I got what I wanted as a Spec 3 Update, as a DLC pack I'd be willing to pay like $20. Rather that, than pay $60 for a new game when I love GT5 so much. I'd rather expand GT5 than anything else right now. Both as a preference and economically. Now, what I'd want is.......

At least match MOST of the tracks of the PSP version, which was a very complete GT track wise.

A new A-Spec Season, at least as big as the first, focusing mostly on the new added tracks. And some rally events this time, eh?

On a personal level.....since you decided to feature NASCAR in GT5, how about some actual NASCAR tracks? I'm not asking for a bunch of cookie cutter ovals. But you know?.....Bristol, Richmond, POCONO. Good DRIVER tracks that other people would like as well, not just NASCAR fans. Hell, Infineon's NASCAR layout has already been in a Gran Turismo.....c'mon!!

A better course creator. Where you can keep a part you like without it changing when you change another section, and elevation changes are a must. Ideally, I'd want to be able to "Mod Nation" it for corners and elevation. I don't need to decorate, just lay out the track.

Edit- Add every modelled interior from GT4 to their GT5 standard models. And program car's hoods to show on the standard interiors.

Little things: Actually be able to see paint on a car before painting. Meters showing engine and chassis wear in the bebuild screens. Being able to put custom rims on standard cars (there aren't THAT many custom rims in the game, it can't be THAT hard to code, i was changing their rims in GT3 so......).

Kaz, if you get most of that done, aside from the course creator which isn't realistic, just a wish.....I would GLADLY pay $20, maybe a bit more for that. I have no problem paying PD for your efforts if it truly expands GT5. Like I said, I'd rather pay 20-30 bucks to greatly expand GT5 than wait for a GT6. Save GT6 for PS4.

im afraid we will wait until 2020 because until now there's no specific hardware information about PS4 and PD will not earn good income if they not released new game, GT6 will be on the last GT for PS3, im sure its released in 2014 or 2015

A few more points.

I was going to suggest DLC skins for race cars and tuners, but I'm not sure how that would work. I suppose that would still have to be done with downloadable cars, but that's fine with me.

Produce another intro for Spec III focused on racing over crashing - way too much wrecking and crazy camera shots in the new intro. Also, finally give us the option of the Moon Over The Castle theme as the intro song.

Fix the Rally gravel physics, please.

Tokyo or San Francisco free-roam city...

***readies flame-thrower***

But back on topic, PD have made half-arsed attempts at getting cars from certain series ... they should do the whole lot, they live slap bang in Japan itself, they could potentially get hold of all cars that have ever raced in JGTC and SuperGT (barring Porsche), they also completely neglected the Super Taikyu series. We have a random DTM Alfa from 93, a random Mercedes from 91 and an equally random Calibra from 94, as well as a "one of each and forget the rest" approach to the 2000-2003 cars, and then only bothered with the 04 Audi from the four-door switch over. PD don't seem to understand that, yes, we have Nannini, Ludwig and Rosbergs cars from 1991-1990 and yes, we have Schneider, Reuter and Wendlinger from 2000-2003, but alot of fans have their personal favorite drivers and will want to drive the cars of THOSE drivers.

My whishlist:
-The option to remove individual lap times from the arcade time trial boards;
-Less sticky-to-the-road AI

yeah i wish it had free roam in the city that had beautiful beach since PD is japanese developer, tokyo had a chance but too bad... free roam wouldn't happen :(

Better a.i. like gt3 a.i. where I was actually fighting for 1st gt5 ai puts me to sleepp, slow, boring, and unappealing

Ooooooooook,
why are there no wishes for Online-mode?? Dont you have I-Net Connections? Seriously, I dont know. Why are there only wishes for more A-Spec (You have already weekly Seasonals!!!) and better A.I.?
DRIVE ONLINE!!!!!! thats the best A.I. you can get and the best races you can get! Choose/find the RIGHT lobbys and have fun for the whole variations GT5 has to offer!

Online is the worst AI you can ever get. You can't find a good lobby because there aren't any. Most races that do look good are without assists.

Starting your own lobby will be your death, because almost nobody will come.

And don't forget, arcade gives you 1 minute to load 16 drivers with any PP, in Online you can't even start a - for example - 435 pp race because its - according to most people probably - boring or there is nobody in your lobby.

I spend to many time trying to get a normal race, maybe i just should stay out of there.

And what is wrong with this? No assist racing is considered the legitimate way of racing online...

Although I will say that I do agree, online racing is screwed, clean intended or not...and the only real way to get a good lobby going is to do a free run lobby on a liked track.

No assist racing srews up the experience for me, but even if it doesn't for some people, at least think a little bit about other people and put TCS and/or SRF on.

hmm... no one wishing real collision? Also the option that can turn it on/off

i mean if we had bad accident, we actually out of the race and had injury for several days...

Fun/extra Feature (probably not much important):
- Buy/upgrade your house, each house have limited garage storage ( i didn't mean 3d house, only the 2D picture like FIFA MANAGER did)
- Gender Choice

They way I see it all of the updates are bonus and I am quite happy with what is going on with gt5.

I have ONE request for the next update that I havent seen (maybe I didnt look long enough)

I would like to be able to reset the track times while playing on-line and without resetting the track. This would be very helpful with our league practices.

No duplicate cars in offline bot races, except for special events which require them for whatever reason.

I think it'll be hard to say how Spec 3 would be right now but it depends on what they do in the future before hand, such as other updates and DLC. Right now we would't be even close to being right.

I've read that several times and I still have no idea what you are saying.

-an event creator (like in gt2)
-livery editor
-more premium cars
-fix sounds
-improvement for AI

Love the idea of an event editor, I think an improvement in AI is the most wanted thing in GT5. Let's be honest AI is useless, the cars follow each other around like a train and slow down ridiculously for certain corners. I have often sat in front of GT5 after doing lots of hotlaps and online races wishing to have a decent race against the AI.

Spec 3.0

Photo Stream
ALL Premium wheels available in the wheel shop
Adjustable Sound sliders (time to crank up that beautiful exhaust note!)
Adjustable Field-Of-View sliders with Dynamic Chase-Cam on/off
Paint Chip Purchasing system
Arcade Options in A-Spec (A.I. Difficulty, please)
Official 1/4mile Drag Races at the Top Gear Test Track AND Route X
Classic Sports Car pack
Bathurst, Seattle, and El Capitan track pack

..and finally….. EVENT CREATOR!

*( Cue the Holy Church Music)

For Spec 3 I would like more exsisting standard cars converted to premium (rather than just brand new ones), more indepth customisation like a full fledged livery editor, many more A-Spec events and better online functionality with more features.

Honestly, I would LOVE PD to give us step by step procedures on how THEY do the engine sounds in GT5.

Fix the engine sounds!
