YES 👍 what an awesome car, Don't forget the Auto Union Type C Streamliner, and why not the rest of the "special" cars from GT4!

Yeh, i want all these special cars back too.

Motorwagen, Ford Model T, Nike Prototype...and so on

Oh no not the streamline D: sooooo many horrible memories of being a high speed crash waiting to happen.

Beats me why anyone would want PD to waste time and money putting cars like that in the game again. Those cars should be in a museum if anything, not drivable cars. Unless you're telling me you reguarly raced the Model T and Benz Patent Wagen.

Remove the L40 limit...they should raise it to 60 or so, every time you level up above L40, you get a nice standard car.
More A-spec events would be cool, but I don't think PD will do that.

But to be honest: make sure GT6 releases on time and blows us away on every aspect.

Greets!

I have given this some thought and here is my vision for Spec 3.0 :)

Custom event creator for A-Spec and B-Spec
A new series on top of the Endurance Series which will unlock at level 30. It allows players to regulate their own events down to every detail. Prize money and experience points will be calculated based on the conditions set by the player and the distribution of these will support the performance difference adjustment bonus if players define limits for weight, horsepower and PP. Once created, the events will be listed as rectangular icons (3x3) similar to the events in the default series by PD (another page will be created if you exceed 9 events). Event icons will a have default look but these can be customized with images from the photo album and a variety of fonts and colours to specify the event name and character. Custom events will not count towards 100% completion and can be shared with friends. Players will receive a royalty bonus which varies depending on how well your friends perform in your event. This royalty bonus will be distributed with the daily login bonus.

Permanent online leaderboards
Adds a time trial icon to the GT Life screen. Record and improve your best lap time and compare your skills to players who lapped under the same conditions, i.e. filters for car, track layout, stock, tuned and tyres. Roughly identical to the leaderboard system known from GT5 Prologue but vastly improved in terms of features.

Online Phototravel lobbies
Similar to A-Spec lobbies but the circuits have been replaced by the photo travel locations and players can chat and talk while photographing cars together.

Online championships
Gives lobby hosts the ability to set up a series of races similar to A-Spec championship events.

GT Auto accessibility from online lobbies
Allows players to change oil, rims etc. while participating in an online room.

Free interior camera movement
Similar to the free camera movement known from the face tracking feature as the camera angle can be controlled freely in any direction with the controller. Default button assignment is R3 for 180 degree front view movement and R1 + R3 for 180 degree rear view movement.

More garage filters
Allows players to sort the garage view with more filters such as stock, tuned, mileage etc.

New phototravel location
A new scenery for photographing.

New selection of rims
Adds more variety to the current selection.

Nissan GT-R N24 Team GT-Academy '12
Class winner from 24 hours of NĂĽrburgring 2012.

Spec 3.0 intro movie
Available as a free download from GT TV.

Improved physics
There is always room for improvement.

Improved sound
Select premium cars gets a critical update (including custom exhausts on certain cars)

Improved tyre simulation
An adjustment of tyre longevity.

Bug fixes
A benchmark overhaul.

Indeed, some new tuning options would be nice.
Optical and power tuning.
And different tuning settings like in GT4, i really miss that feature.
You know they fixed that with SETTING SHEETS right? A,B,and C- for every car.
Not sure why they didn't just give you 10 instead of 3 though.. there should be enough to have a separate setting for every track.. Why limit it to 3?

we've different setting sheets in GT5? since when?

edit: oh ****...we really have them :boggled:. I really don't know how i could miss that feature :banghead:

The ability to fly.

Oh wait, we already have that in GT5... :sly:

Gran Turismo; The Real Flight Simulator

Redefined online regulation choices.
An upgrade to some standards.
Maybe but probably not, new aero kits and maybe even some new RM's. Not just on new cars but additional ones for the cars already with RM-ing abilitys.

1st. and top of my list the Race/Event creator. With many many details to adjust...

Implement these adjustments to online lobbys, too. Race vs. AI AND other users, allow only cars from certain years '91 - '95 for example. etc.

Bring tuning companies back to put specific Tuner's parts in our cars, would help beginners and us to finally understand PD's ways on how their settings work(suspension). Aero kits coming with that aswell.

Tire pressure and rim size, tire width... but maybe save that for GT6.? Would be too many drastic changes to the physics to do just now.

More Rim's, infinite use of paint chips.

Headlights/BEAM'S to work properly.

Undo the trade limit!!!!

oh and go on improving sounds, make a V8/V12 sound like it should, transmission and gear shifting sounds.

Improve AI, let us choose lvl up until professional in event/online and arcade mode, wich should ACT professional, too.

Get rid of monotone 'chase the rabbit' races in seasonals, either random starting grids or even let us do qualifyings. And standing starts of course.

Second Update (first was bug fixes) - FREE

- Three entirely new modes - Online Stunt Run, Marked Man and Road Rage
- 70 new online challenges

Third update (Bikes Pack) - FREE

- Added day/night cycles and dynamic weather
- Added bikes to the game
- 70 new bike only challenges

Plus lots of other updates and tweaked noted here - http://burnout.wikia.com/wiki/Free_February_Update

If they're not drastic updates for free I don't know what you would call them.

No, I'm just a plain old fan like you are. No silly titles or hierarchy because a fan is a fan, whether they're critical about something or not.

Looks to me like you should be far more suited to Test Drive/Need For Speed with the features you want to see.

Now I see why you complain a lot :sly:

Newsflash.... This game will never be a Test Drive or Need For Speed, saying that, if PD do decide to install a free roam feature that some of you have been asking for, this series will be setting itself up for failure, as this feature would be taking the game away from what it's meant to be.

Not that I think the game is anywhere near where it was meant to be in the first place.

I know you're talking about a different game but obviously those updates look like they would interest you for this game if a game like burnout has kept you interested for more than 5 mins

Um, what? I was simply showing someone what free updates another game got, where did I say anything about wanting updates like that for GT? Yes I enjoyed Burnout and it's free updates but for completely different reasons that I like GT5. I like pretty much all types of racing games. So I'm really not sure what you're talking about.

i want to have normal starts back and not flying starts in every race. also i want to see qualifying back like in GT3.

Free run is your qualifying online, and considering how easy A-Spec is, you really don't want to take even more challenge away from it.

For Spec III, I'd like the old original tracks, however I'm willing to trade a Spec III upgrade for a shorter dev. time on GT6.

Spec III would need to have the following:

- A generous amount of REAL LIFE, licensed cars, throwing us a bunch of fictional race/touring cars is simply taking the mick.

- We have fictional karts in the game, that's fine, how about licensing the ranges of karts from actual kart manufacturers such as Birel and Tony Kart?

- At least 3-4 new tracks, fair enough we had Spa and Kart Space last time, but thats only really one and a half tracks, Spec III should give us a new real life circuit, a new original track and maybe one or two updated versions of classics that have been left out.

- Multi-category races (such as SuperGT and Le Mans), this needs no explanation, being able to compete in a second category in the same race ads new dimensions to races, such has having to learn to fight for position through traffic and while being the traffic, being that 'shock result' of the GT car ending up in the top 5 or top 10 at le mans. We all saw the Audi's and Toyota's fighting through traffic and we all saw the GT cars fight while being lapped, we WANT to be there!

- 2 x 2 rolling starts offline and online, get rid of single-file rolling starts as these are simply diabolical and unrealistic, as well as tedious.

- More day-night cycles for tracks, even if it's just one or two it would still be nice, imagine driving towards the bright orange sunset at Spa or finally seeing how SS5 looks at daytime.

...Wind becomes a factor in sideforce. A wind speed monitor will be displayed under the track's water surface monitor, but in a red background. This can be set to MPH, m/s, or Knots. It can also be turned off in the pause menu as well as the options menu.

Not often mentioned, but I like it. Crosswinds can be clearly seen in the game- I wonder how much it affects the aero of the cars.

Also, brake fade would be very helpful, but most likely wouldn't come in an update to gt5. Hopefully PD takes a hard look at that for 6. As an option, of course..

Slashfan
GT5 will always be an incomplete game. Theres just so much that needs to be done.

I don't know why I did so but when I read this, I heard Tommy Pickles saying it in my mind. Is that odd?

Spec III:

- Ability to shift up on high revs under load with H-patter-shifter and clutch
- Getting Tuning shop and GT auto together in one shop
- Trackbuilder with point to point races
- Clear the differences in online and offline-physics so they are they same
- Improving the engine sounds
- Add customizable tyre widths
- Add customizable wheel diameter
- Improve slow speed physics
- Set option of skid-recover only to realistic
- one or two new tracks from the pd-database for the fans
- etc.

Spec 3

-much, much better engine sounds, at least on
premium cars
-event creator, pretty much how online lobbies
-improved AI
-add some drama to the chase cam, it's so plain and boring
-some bug fixes, especially the one that mutes your car when being next to an opponent

Spec III

Better tire model
Better low speed physics
Improved surround sound balance
Event generator (with standing starts option)
Ability to adjust AI aggressiveness in GT Life (harder, obviously)
Point to point in track editor with even narrower road surfaces for rallying
Ability to delete individual times from fastest laps board

If half of the above makes an appearance, i'll be happier than a pig in s***

Honestly I don't think there is much more PD can do with GT5 even with Spec 2 it helped it a lot, but still compared to older GT's it's a failed game.

-More realistic tire wear
-Brake upgrades
-Revised aerodynamics (drafting and lift situations)
-Point to point stages in the course creator
-Improved tire physics for racing compounds
-Ability to adjust AI grip levels (ie 101-150% grip... Ie faster cornering ability)
-More specific car classifications/sorting for online race sorting (super car, sports car, modern muscle, etc, year/year range, etc)
-Improved ffb
-Fanatec wheel support (clubsport pedal integration with brake lock up)
-Online leaderboards for stock cars and tuned cars (separate)
