Spec 2.0 wasn't even a particularly dramatic update.

And you cared to share this "fact" because... ?

Just how many other console games has ever gained anything that huge for FREE ever ?

If you're a programmer working with games, I'd love to see how you update your precious, perfected games.

IQ anyone ?

It would be a less dramatic update than Spec 2.0

Plenty of games have. If you want one in the same genre, look up Burnout Paradise and how much they changed for free. So maybe think about what you're saying before rolling out the insults.

Wasnt insulting, I'm not just one of the ***** who believes that developers "Owns" anything to customers, and when you say plenty and come up with an Arcade game (not games) then there is nothing to compare with. Name one game that has gained something for FREE after 1 and a half year after release, on console. If there is plenty like you claim...

PS. Maybe you should quit playing the GT5 and move on ?

An arcade game isn't a game? What?

I also never said that PD owe me anything, I simply said that Spec 2.0 wasn't a particularly dramatic update in reply to someone saying Spec 3.0 wouldn't be. So i'm not sure what you're getting worked up and defensive about.

PS I have stopped playing GT5 but I still come here because I still love the series.

LOL, I KNEW whomever replied to that first would say BurnOut Paradise and nothing else. It's the only game that's added as much (even more actually) free content and meaningfull updates as GT5.

There is one other game I can think of that's added so much for free, and that's the PC and PS3 versions of Unreal Tournament 3. I say only those 2 versions because MS wouldn't allow Epic Games to release the content for free on Live so the content just never came out on 360.

Can anyone think of any other games that have added so much for free (discounting free games obviously). I'd like to hear of others.

Oh, I dont see any logic in that to be honest. Like saying

"I owned this game years ago and I hated it with all my bodycells and I need to stand up for my hate every 2 hours just to make sure that everyone else hates it as much as I do"

Spec II was a huge implacement for the game and the game still is alive and kicking, atleast PD gives interest to keep it updated unlike any other console game developer so far.

Dude, I'm entitled to stay here and post whether you like it or not. Plus I certainly do not hate GT5, I just didn't enjoy it as much as the previous four. However it's my opinion that Spec 2 wasn't a dramatic update, whether it was unheard of in gaming to release an update at that time or not. I wasn't commenting on that, purely the content. There was little to no new gameplay in the update.

Well, everyone can and should have a opinion, but opinions will not ever turn into a universal facts.

It is obvious that you seek something else from the games than I do, and there is nothing wrong in that.

But I personally dont go ranting against some game I owned in the past just because I got an opinion about it, which would make the actual fans unhappy about me, because I dont see any reason to do that, I wouldnt gain anything but a "comment amount" over the times with useless blasphemy.

I thought it was pretty obvious my original post was my opinion and not a fact, I didn't see the need to add 'in my opinion' to the end of it.

Why are you an "actual" fan because you've nothing negative to say about the game?

I don't really care for livery editors that much. Really, all I'd use it for would be putting gulf liveries on everything, and changing stripe colour because it painting something with stripes almost always changes the stripes to the wrong colour. I tried to make a Transformers Camaro, but it changed the stripes to white.

However, seeing the paint on the car before I paint it is an absolute must. I've wasted so many paint chips trying to find the right colour for what I want, usually to find out the paint is grey but the swatch is blue.

More A-spec races are also necessary. There's almost nothing left to do in the game after completing A-spec. All I've been doing recently is farming the UCD for the few cars left that I don't have, and online lobbies, and it's getting boring.

SimonK is right, Spec 2 offered very little new gameplay, I'd like some more of that in Spec 3.
Sampyla20plus you need to calm down, you sounded like a crazed lunatic when I just read though that conversation.. LOL

Spec 3?

Further added features, improved physics and wheel support (deadzone options), more premium cars and an extra track pack.

Add generic manufacturer interiors for the Standards. So if the premium MX-5 has an interior, make all the standard ones have the same interior. Or if a Fiat is Premium, make the Standard ones have the Fiat 500 interior. Would make things more realistic in my eyes.
This on top of more tracks and cars of course. Also I wouldn't mind Hong Kong coming back.

I was thinking of an idea just yesterday; they should group all Standards and Premiums into one car in the dealership screens, and then give you the ability to choose between different trim levels and years and whatnot. So if you were in the Mazda dealership you'd be able to scroll left and right, and when you hit the RX-7 you could scroll up and down between years/trims.

PD won't give us a generic interior, and personally it would drive me crazy... The last idea though, is what i always thought PD should do. Instead of having each trim a different model, have the RX-7 as one model, and select the trim and year. It would clean up the game tremendously :)

I think you should check up on that. While Burnout Paradise was bloody great, it didn't really have any "dramatic changes," and those "changes" didn't come till' the premium DLC. Like the Big Surf Island. Not what you're trying to compare to. And Burnout Paradise turned into a money pit quick.

GT5 has by far changed the most since release, and for free, and SpecII was more change-built than a good chunk of what games are today. Most are not even supported anymore once they're released to shelves.

Surely I got some negative things about the game, but I dont need to fill any forum with stuff everyone might already know, you know ?

All said above,
Plus, Platinum club memebership with its own abilities to paint, livery, nametag for online race
Level increased to 50
I JUST WANT TO PLAY GRAN TURISMO WITH REASON TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING MORE

spec 3 might fill in an empty promise or two kaz made. We could see some practical new features, or a simple sound overhaul.

Real tuning...like what it would feel like in real life...it would be cool if people had a car in real life, got upgrades like they do in real life, and made the setup in GT5.

Indeed, some new tuning options would be nice.
Optical and power tuning.
And different tuning settings like in GT4, i really miss that feature.

->the ability to put the american racing wheels on standard cars. (personal preference)
->more RM cars
->the original diahatsu midget just to see it fail at cornering at 20mph
->a RM version of the diahatsu midget with a v8 in it for the really brave
->a RM version of the mini 1.3 cooper

Second Update (first was bug fixes) - FREE

- Three entirely new modes - Online Stunt Run, Marked Man and Road Rage
- 70 new online challenges

Third update (Bikes Pack) - FREE

- Added day/night cycles and dynamic weather
- Added bikes to the game

Plus lots of other updates and tweaked noted here - http://burnout.wikia.com/wiki/Free_February_Update

If they're not drastic updates for free I don't know what you would call them.

No, I'm just a plain old fan like you are. No silly titles or hierarchy because a fan is a fan, whether they're critical about something or not.

YES 👍 what an awesome car, Don't forget the Auto Union Type C Streamliner, and why not the rest of the "special" cars from GT4!
