Gran Turismo
SPEC III

-AI

Let's be honest. since the release of GT5 (in fact, every other Gran Turismo for this matter) The artificial intelligence is brain dead. The passive and harmless CPU drivers gives the player no difficulty whatsoever. You can abuse the AI by ramming their cars and nudging them and they will not even try to aggressively overtake or bump on purpose. So spec III will, or should, have some kind of better AI, something that fights back.

-IMPROVED TRACK MAKER

When I saw that gran turismo 5 would have a track maker I was ecstatic. When I used it for the first time, it was pretty decent. but I wanted more features, like the point-to-point feature, noted in GT_Johan's post.

-POPULAR STANDARD CARS CONVERTED TO PREMIUM

Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini countach, all four paganis, basically any popular standerd cars should get ye olde royal premium conversion.

-GRAN TURISMO TV

A small little store you probably noticed but forgot about. It has any movies about Gran Turismo and some buyable movies too, but honestly. what casual player would want to waste precious time there?! :yuck: the name is very misleading, so how about this: users can upload their own replays for others to watch and comment on it. It is similar to youtube, but anyone can use it.

FOLDERS IN GARAGE

How about a nifty feature that has been requested a few times? Creating folders to put cars in, rather than favorites, for easy access. for example:you create a folder labeled 'LMP' and you store your peugeot 908 and sauber mercedes c9 race car in there for easy access.

RACE TEAMS

The ability to create a racing team. You can search for racing teams and send applications via the Gran Turismo mail...option...that thing. When you create your team there is a one million credit opening fee. you can set the minimum A-Spec and B-Spec level to join and the featured car brand of that group. You can recognize team members with a star (★) by their name online. Every racing team can hold a maximum of 20.

BIGGER LOBBIES

How about a lobby of 18 people? 20? 24?

This is just my little list of what should reconstitute spec III. I believe that by building a stronger community net, rather than just competing in races, this will bring some positive changes.

Great idea! I like that a lot. This way we could possibly have PD servers do the work of converting the silly replay code into a useable mpeg if we so desire to save it. Press record, run through the replay pausing and changing views when you want, then save that run as a video file at the end. Hell, this could be done on our ps3's then uploaded after...

more events and more premium cars
just one thing what's the point of putting dlc tracks if they don't do more events with the already dlc tracks?

I would settle for the hidden tuning options that Sorg has found and ability to put all wheels on all cars.

It is really that simple for me.

Spec 3 is going to be called GT6 in the PS4 guys. There will be something more to come but nothing that huge. It is too late in the cycle of the game to make something like that...but of course it is PD that we are talking...Gran Turismo games as any other simulation are made to last for more than a couple of years...

So after contradict myself...it will be possible following that logic. But PD is not even saying anything about its updates or little things like the Corvette Concept...so who knows...This game is a huge beta (I said it tons of times) and they will make and test more things in it...hopefully GT6 is going to be the "dreamed product".

The real thing is that we need to wait.

-Add tire psi, in real life it makes a big difference and is also known as cheap quick suspension setup.

-Allow us to view the car from the side exterior so when we brake we can see the cool brake rotor turning red. Bonus is our field of vision will be expanded so we know exactly where our opponent is.

-Replay needs to be improved, allow us to free roam in 3rd person view around the car while watching replay so we can see where we can improve when driving without abs. Also, add a new view location on the bottom of the door facing forward so we can see where our tires are turning, this looks cool when drifting.

Add the two FPV's back in, and provide some american racing wheels to use.
C-Spec Racing - My invention.

C-Spec means racing Alongside your driver. Like a two car team, with the directional buttons for commands. (Up is driver menu, Left and right are obvious, and down to confirm command) because lets face it, who uses the d pad anymore?
I mean come on, Who wouldn't love a 2 car simultaneous pitstop.

Separate Bob mileage trophy.

And thru-bonnet supercharger and turbos.

YEEHAH

-More sense of speed in Chase cam (when you are in chase cam with a Veyron,it still feels like you have the speed of a VW Beetle.)
-Some standard to premium conversions.
-Whole UCD scrapped, and replaced by something exactly like the premium dealerships but with Standard cars

-Added adjustable downforce for certain cars
-Improved quality of standard interiors and exteriors
-All cars that are able to change wheels gain access to all wheels
-Event Creator
-The ability to travel through visibly lagging cars online
-Drag racing mode for Indianapolis
-More cars & tracks
-You can die

Permanent online leaderboards
Adds a time trial icon to the GT Life screen. Record and improve your best lap time and compare your skills to players who lapped under the same conditions, i.e. filters for car, track layout, stock, tuned and tyres. Roughly identical to the leaderboard system known from GT5 Prologue but vastly improved in terms of features.

👍

If I could choose 1 thing, it would be this. Adds nearly limitless replay-ability.

As mention in the thread: tuning options improved as you get with the Forza III, espicial tyre pressure, different tyres and sizes, the same with wheels and and weight.
I would like to simulate 24H Le Mans, Silverstone and 24N with 200 cars, different classes etc. Flag rules. Better damage simulation, worn transmission, overheating of engine etc. In arcade mode I would like to be able to simulate a 24N race, set a max and min PP cars within a max - min year, power etc. And to set the max time to simulate a VLN race or 24H race, f. ex. 3 hours and set the time to accelerate to 8, thus simulate 24H within 3 hours exact. Imagine a 200 car race, flag rules etc to simulate as real as possible a VLN or 24N race (N:Nurburgring)...

I was about to say GT6 is coming so a Spec3 would be pretty well pointless unless after GT6 comes out they setup spec3 like Konami setup their final update for mgs4 which disabled online play.

I am so pleased with the new physics, interior views on standard cars and the DLC. This has definitely transformed GT5 to "Spec 2" in my eyes, What would it take to make GT5 Spec 3 ?

For me I would consider an updated and improved damage system and improved offline racing options in GT life so you can set up an offline race exactly to your liking.

That would be enough to take GT5 to spec 3 for me
From what it looks like, Gran Turismo 6 is the spec 3 lol!

And it doesn't matter which thread we use to discuss what we hope and want implemented in a spec 3.0 or in GT6, as long as the thread gets replies ;-)
