cant go wrong with the logitech g25 👍 best on the market

You see more and more people drooling over the Fanatec Porsche wheels, but I think Logitech is where its at for Gran Turismo games.

I have a Logitech G25 and Playseat Evolution and I couldn't be happier. It's a great setup for GT5P.

On to teh pics yo..

I think im gonna be investing in a wheel and seat.
Just wondering does that setup fold away or get smaller somehow?,for when its not being used.

Yes the back the seat folds down and i think the wheel and pedals can be moved closer to the seat when its folded down aswell

Well up till now I have been using a driving force EX and its good. The game works well is lots of fun.

However just now I have purchased a G25 and the brake mod as an award for my studying! It should arrive on Friday.

Am moist with anticipation!

I got the G25 a few days ago. I'm almost embarassed to admit it considering how much I've played the GT series. I had a DFP for GT4, and a DFex before that for GT3.
The main reason I got the G25 is because the pedals are VERY good for those who use "heal and toe" down-shifting while racing. It may be arguable that heel'n'toe makes downshifting in GT5 smoother (more stable for entering a corner), but it IS something usefull for those of us that do actuall track days with sports car clubs. -95 MR2turbo owner here. = ) GT5p is just practice for the real thing, and the G25 does it the best by leaps and bounds compared to all the other Logitech wheels.
-reguarding the Fanatec 911 GT3 wheel...
I also saw a video comparison of the 911 GT3 wheel vs G25 on youtube, and the reviewer favored the GT3 for a few of his personal reasons. I think it is probably a great wheel and competetive with the G25, but the little perks such as a vibrating steering wheel, and a ton of buttons are just fluff. My opinion sways toward the concept that less is more when it comes to buttons on the wheel. The 2 motors on the G25 give it an advantage of more force feedback data, which WILL inevitably come into play with the full version of GT5. Though if you like a vibrating wheel to simulate the engine on a straight away, that would be the main reason to get a GT3 wheel. (cusomizing ff is not something I consider to be inovative, just fluff. FF should be set to max...lol)

It really boils down to your preference of what you LIKE in a wheel in terms of looks and functions. But I should mention, polyphony digital uses the G25/DFGT on nearly all their booths.

I recently purchased GT5:P. I will be getting a PS3 soon. (looking for a 60GB model) and I want to buy a racing wheel? So what's the best one to get?

I think the best bang for your buck would be the DFP(Driving Force Pro). Had mine since the release of GT4 (going on 4 years)and have had no problems whatsoever. Practically the same as the DFGT, but just without the extra buttons and scroll wheel. But you can easily assign an unused button to do what those buttons do on the DFGT.đź’ˇ

DFP $117
DFGT $140

Both really good bargains. 👍

I used to have a DFP, but the pedals gave up on me, so I got myself a G25. And man there is a difference! The overall quality feel of the G25 is just heaps ahead of the DFP, and I suspect the DFGT aswell. Now, the G25 is a bit expensive, but you will get what you pay for, that´s for sure!

For the casual racer ( one with a limited budget) , the DFP is a perfect deal. My old man uses it now for Nurburgring. = P
