no i didnt have those, i still dont have the GT 40 shinez, i made sure i took a unique apporach at the beginning of the game, i got all the licenses then made enough money to buy a viper to win the like the win race, then won a gt1 road car, then won the f094s but i didnt want to use that till the F1 race b/c its overkill.

Im gonna have to switch to GT40 than C5R.. Forgot about the GT40 for a bit :O

But I reitirate my position saying the Camaro licks donkey balls!

the Panoz sucks BIG time
I would also say GT-40, but with a good set-up, and a similar driving technique as you would use for, say the C12S, The Panoz is quite fast. Much faster than I believed.
I am coming to the conclusion that most of the Race Cars in GT-3 are much more manageable, and in some cases, quicker around the track in the stock HP or Stage 1 upgrade for HP.

The Camaro is decent. I don't like the C5R at all, and when tire wear is on, it's totally useless.

I love the Oreca Viper! great handling, my driving style gets along beautifully with its handling characteristics, and it gets great mileage out of a set of tires. I'm probably no OLR winner but I feel very fast and smooth in the Oreca Viper.

Actually, it did have the Viper Oreca up there...:odd:

I know this isnt a race car in the game, but technically the svt mustang cobra R isn't street legal so my vote goes to that. If thats not considered a race car, than go GT-40

 Thank you Shinez, for being the voice of reason...I hate Camaros! Have any of you Camaro lovers managed gold on license test A-7? I finally did after about 2 hours, by only .021 seconds. It was hell! It really demonstrated the effects of heavy weight, poor chassis balance, and ancient suspension design. BTW the other day I entered the Seattle enduro in a US spec Integra Type R, and stomped the American field (2nd thru 6th: Corvette Z06, Mustang SVT, Viper GTS, Camaro SS, Camaro Z28) by over 13 seconds, despite their love for slamming my little front driver into walls with their massive weight. Score one for the Japanese!

I never managed gold on that test, only silvers...it's really hard...I use auto on that test because it's quite a difficult time, and of course because it's a short test, you have to be almost perfect to get it...

Score one for the Japanese programming team, anyway...

I know this is gonna offend people but ya know... wimps take a corvette with an automatic... real men take the raw power of the Viper non of this automatic crap... :D

I golded A-7 like 3rd attempt - the quickest of any of the A licences I have gold on.
IMO the Camaro is a great car, simple to handle and has a bit of speed aswell, you just have to learn to control it...

Don't hate on the programmers too much...my Integra does have 387 hp, as well as all other tuning and T2 tires. Sure some of the american cars have more power, but between my lighter weight and pit strategy, I'd say the finish is pretty accurate. I pitted twice in 40 laps - the rest of the field pitted 5 TIMES. With the lack of traction the american muscle cars possess, and the stickier tires needed to combat that lack of traction, I'd say that the pit schedule is fairly realistic too. I'll run that race today in my 196 hp Lotus Elise today and report back. I don't think anyone can complain about the "British programming team"...

Actually, it already had the Viper Oreca from the original posting. I added the GT40 after popular request, but that's all.

So think twice next time before calling someone an idiot.

The trick is getting him to think ONCE first...

Just got back from the Seattle enduro...man am I sick of getting bullied by big muscle cars. I ran my stock Lotus Elise 190, 196hp with T3 fronts/T2 rears. It was tough coming up on the AI in the turns, only to watch them speed away on the straights. I spent most of the race in 4th place, concentrating on the proper line in order to not lose time to the AI. It finally paid off at the end of lap 35 as I passed the Z06, Mustang, and Viper in the pits. I had made my pit stop on lap 20 and still had light green/yellow on all 4 tires. :D Here's how it all ended:

Lotus Elise 190 1:11'19.630
Corvette Z06 +8.577
Mustang SVT +16.421
Viper GTS +20.615
Camaro Z28 +1'18.005
Camaro SS +1 lap

Keep in mind that these American muscle cars have twice as much power as my Lotus, and couldn't beat it even on a track with long high-speed sections. C'mon, admit it, American cars are weak... :p

So Pulse, you didn't race against the Cobra which pits about 3 times every lap? That car has quite a funny pit strategy.I might take out my TommyKaira ZZ-S to the Seattle Enduro one day...:)

Seriously... who takes any car with an automatic? Just grannies use automatics. At least here just old people have those. Automatic transmission can really hinder the car's potential.
Anyways. The GT40 is far better than any other Yankee boat.
It's probably the only SMALL highpowered racecar. The Panoz is quite nice as well. Camaros are literally boats, they're so heavy that they make you seasick.

It was a toss up between the GT40 and the Viper ...

As much as I love the Viper,GT40 got my vote!
