What's your favorite city in GT2? Mine is definitely the East City, with South following a close 2nd place. I would say South City is my fave, except that the East has that cool used car lot thing. It would be fun to go on a search for a Plymouth Superbird instead of buying it any ol' time...

Mine is also the East City, followed by the North City. The used cars on East City it's a big advantage. There's not many cars that i drive/like from West and South cities... only Vipers, Venturis, Corvettes and Cobras basically... :rolleyes:

My favorite manufacturers are Toyota, Mazda and TVR. :)
 
My favorite music is West City, with North City slightly in second place. A lot more cars are in East and North City. If you Looooooove muscle, South City looks more like your city to love. West City's theme is cool. North City's theme has that bit pimp sound to it. South City's theme is alright, and kind of fits in with the American muscle cars. East City, while modest, isn't all that bad.

As I look at the maps to each city, East City kind of seems like Tokyo, North City is HIGHLY reminiscent of London, West City is more like Rome, and South City slightly reminds me of New York's Manhattan.

But which is my favorite? Here's my order from most favorite to least favorite:

North City and East City (tie), South City, and West City
 
norht and east, i love the subarus and nissans and the nsx's but i also love the british and german cars,
 
I too voted for East and North cities. Got to feel sorry for West and south cities though cause they only have 1 vote apeice at the mo.

I think it's because they don't have many manufacturers... while there's alot of them in the North City and the East City has the used car lot, West and South cities just have a few manufacturers and most of them don't have many cars...

Would be great if all cities had used cars, and it could balance things a bit... :rolleyes:

Yeah, that would be stellar. Doesn't make any sense that you can go and purchase an Aston Martin DB6 any time you have $36,000 or whatever it costs. In real life, they only made like 1 or 2,000 of them. Why did Polyphony decide to drop the whole used car concept in the first place? Hello Kazunori are you reading this?

umm #1 is north cause of BMW, TVR, VW, and Lotus. then is west, for Venturi, Citroen, and Renault. i just love foreign cars :dopey:

West City has some nice stuff, like the Venturis or the powerful Renault Espace F1.
There's also a very nice Alfa 156 V6, with a cool black and yellow race mod. It's one of the most powerful FF cars in the game, and has a good handling too!
The Fiat Coupe is another nice FF car...

But other towns have good cars too so... :rolleyes:

The Espace F1 is great! I love that car/van. I had an Alfa Romeo, but it wasn't the 156 I don't think...it had a long name, was near the end in the new car selection, I can't remember the name though. :banghead: Also the Alfa Romeo Touring Car is always good.

Good power and handling for a FF car, i like alot that race mod, and i think it's quite fun to drive :)
 
Obviously, West City has 3 or 4 missing manufacturers: Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, and DeTomaso (sp?) that would more likely top this place higher in the poll. Also, many of Alfa's older roadsters & sports cars are missing, most of which are rear-wheel drive. Fiat's X-1/9 woud be awesome, too.
 
i totally agree, ferrari being my favorite company, and alfa close behind, i would have liked ferrari to be in the game (i cant believe they didnt put them in, i think maybe ferrari said no to being in it?) and i would have liked there to be some older alfas, like they have in gt4
 
mac, that pic you posted of the alfa, is that a hybrid car? because i know i cant get mine that light, unless maybe its sposed to say kg instead of lb

Actually, Ferrari is not in GT not of their own choice, but because the @)(*$holes that make Need 4 Speed have an exclusive contract (or had one) with Ferrari, Porsche, etc. Not to bash folks who dig NFS, but to me it seems totally bogus and stupid that EA couldn't allow Gran Turismo access to some really fine machinery. Guess they never learned to share in kindergarten.

On the other hand, I've also read that both Volvo and Saab were asked to be in GT2 but for whatever reason turned down the offer.

haha au contraire. Ferrari's time is up, but porsche is still with EA. Ferrari was done their contract with need for speed and that why theres no ferrari in the new NFS series, but there are lambo and porsche

Oh man, I hope the prancing horse is in GT4?? If not, maybe Ferraris will make the next game? I sure hope so. tho you gotta hand it to Polyphony...they did get Vectors in GT2 as an equivalent for Lambs, and RUF = Porsche. I get the feeling they really at least tried to do their best here.

On the other hand, has anyone else noticed Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Lister as 3 of the biggest f-ups in GT2? Know what I mean? Like these 3 companies NEVER win any races as sim cars. I wonder if some executive over at Jag ever said “Look, mate, our cars always suck in this videogame? Me XKR spins out every other lap! we gotta sue Sony!” Could be why the Scandinavians never jumped on the bandwagon.

yeah it was pretty cool how they managed to find 'replacement' companies like vector, ruf, and venturi. and i dont get why the NFS guys wouldnt let Poly get ferraris, its not really like theyre rivals (i dont think) seeming how most of the NFS games are for PC

Yes, it's 1127Kg and i think it's 470ps too. It's not an hybrid.
