Online racing with decent and respectful opponents, usually in road cars with sports tyres. Particularly at the Nurburgring 24H, in a longish race with pitstops.

Buying interesting or unlikely/unpopular standard cars, tuning them up to a specific PP range, testing them out in my own PP-restricted lobbies.

Going into random kart rooms and convincing the host to do four laps around the ring.
This is the most fun I've had in a LONG time. Even though only have the people that started finished. :)

You gotta race the ring on go karts at night in the rain even more fun. :)

I enjoy anytime I am on the track. The thing I enjoy the most is doing the GTP WRS.

I forgot to add, probably the best experience in GT5 I've had, and in any racing game for that matter as far as pure thrill:

Driving a LMP car down the long stretches at Le Mans, cockpit view, in the middle of the night, in the rain. The "day-glo fluorescent graphics filter" making signs, markers, and kerbs gleam as you rocket past, and your instruments have that little night halo effect as well

In that one instant, the shortcomings and imperfections melt away; it is the perfect driving game moment and for that alone I am thankful to Kaz and Polyphony.

installing the game, then deleting the data to watch it install for another hour and see how long 2 seconds lasts in the world of gran turismo

but donuts are fun too

Clean, competitive online racing is the best. Once I leave the room I'm in I like to check the UCD to find cool/interesting/rare cars to play with.

Gonna have to agree with you on that one.

That's beautiful. People gripe about the shortcomings of GT5 all the time. But if you stop to appreciate what is in the game there is no shortage of fun.

Anyone who disagrees with that is a complete and utter fool

I agree with your entire post 👍

Dun meam to sound repetitive but that is what GT5 is all about :D

My favourite thing to do is to take a car to the Nurburgring and just enjoy driving it while the sun shines off the tarmac and the cars engine roars as it's thrown around the track. I forget all about GT5's problems and just enjoy the pure pleasure of driving. This game, while not perfect, is so beautiful when you just grab your favourite car and tackle the Nurburgring.

Just spending 2 hours on nurb with weather change and night to day transition in my online lobby by myself.. Its the only way u can do transiton for day to night the way you like it.

And have the occasional 9 to 12 guys just hot lapping and having little battles all over the track with diffrent cars

When you find that one good room online when everybody is clean, the cars are even, we vote on the track, and talk about Formula 1 and ALMS while driving.
Everything just clicks, then you realize that it's 3 in the morning, and you decide, "screw it, it's too late for bed now," and decide that racing comes before sleeping.

The only thing that beats this is the same thing except IRL. :)

Even when one of those idiots come and smash us all up, were able to talk him into racing clean.

My list can just go on and on, but this beats everything.

I really like doing

while Bob is racing, which leads me to scream:

But it's FUN:D

Get into the X1 in practice mode and race other X1's! Soon I'll be looking to race other X1's online!
