I like the snow, but thats cause most of the time I only get to see it on TV. I have only touched and seen snow in real life once. True Florida Boy.

I can't say much about it (lived in Florida for the past 21 years!), but I have experienced it in other climates. (It's amazing how many native Floridians have never seen it!)

I can say this, we get a lot of transplanted people from the Northeaster US (mainly New York and New Jersey), and a lot of them tell me they only miss snow one time a year, and that's Christmas Day.

They say you can't go back to snowy climate after years of not driving in snow, shovelling walks, getting so bitterly cold that you can't stay outdoors for more than 5 minutes...just as I find it hard to comprehend bundling up in clothing all day long.

I went to the Olympic Penninsula a few weeks ago, and it was cold, but not any colder than what I had in Gainesville, FL...hoiwever, there aren't any mountains in Gator City, USA. The mere sight of those snowy mountains, the cold, clean, fresh air and the temperature made me feel a lot more "majestic". With every sight of that temendous range, I understood how awe-inspiring and willing you feel to take on the world at that very moment.

Hey Florida "could" get snow tonight, ;) Suppose to be in the 20's tonight. Thats :nervous: cold!
If it rains this time of year (in which it never seems to, much to the chagrin of my lawn).

Snow

Positive= Is good when you are indoors, or even better in a vehicle.
Negative=Is crap when you commute home occasionally.

I grew up in Chicago, lived there for 26 years, and have had my fair share of snow and winter. It sucks. I hate it. Now I live in Phoenix and it has been in the high seventies for two weeks. Brrr.

I love snow. I never get much snow. I was born in Guam and didn't see actual snow until I was like 14 and went on a vacation somewhere snowy. I went to college in Philadelphia so I got quite a bit of snow, there. Since then there hasn't been much; I went to graduate school at the University of Florida where there was no snow, I moved to Texas where there was little snow, then to Denver where there hasn't been much snow lately, and now to Chicago, which is way below my snow expectations. This summer, I'm moving to Louisiana, which will also have very little/no snow.

You actually lived in Springfield...I mean, Gainesville?

It got frosty last year around this time, everything was white for a few hours. I know it ain't snow, but it was a shock to see.

...but living in Alachua County is not what the rest of the state is truly like. 300 miles away, where I live now, the land is flat, and all the natural vegetation has been removed and replaced with more beautiful, yet non-native, stuff.

And the people are smarter but less friendler, here.

I LOVE snow, and we've got about 2 inches right now here in Kentucky. Of course, my favorite part is all of the wonderful driving opportunities...that is, until I curbed the rear right wheel of my Tahoe and pulled it off the rim. :O

Where's the "I hate snow, but LOVE to drive in it" option?

 cracks me up that all the people that like it,... dont have to deal with it,.. or if they do,.. it's only for a week outta the year

Believe me people,... I've grown up in one of the few places on the planet that experiences HEAVY 'lake effect' snow,.... it's no picnic. People in Buffulo NY can relate I'm sure.......

I like it the firast week we get it. After that I can do without it. I have discovered that hiking in the woods by my house with my son is a lot of fun when there is snow though. It changes the way everything looks.

I don't like snow ever. I don't like cold weather, either. Our high today is 18, but with the wind chill factor, it's seven below. This SUCKS!

I always assumed Canada is covered by a dome of snow and only opens at the whim of the Ice Witch of Narnia. Canada is Narnia, right?

It has it's good and bad sides. Overall I don't like it. It's fun to drive in at times. But I don't play any winter sports so I don't really like it when I'm out the car.

Snow is great...If I'm coming up on my 5-days off stretch. Commuting 34 miles one way in the snow majorly sucks. I would really rather sandpaper a bobcat's behind. (with it's claws and paws unbound) than drive in snow regularly.
I will concede that snow is OKAY, if there isn't an layer of ice under it to suprize me, and zap me off into the ditch.
