Where are all the Iconic cars ???

Where are the D2C Mustangs? Where is the 305hp 3.7L V6 or the 5.4L Shelby Cobra? Why don't we have the 402hp 32V 5.0L Mustang GT that rivals the E92 M3 at shadow of the price? Jeez all these R32 Skylines make me nostalgic for a fox body.. Then again with the current mystery that is modifications in GT5.. maybe not.

I'm sorry but I'm just overly sensitive to the continued lack of domestic support by the GT series.. I thought with all the cars they were going on about maybe it'd be different this time. We get NASCAR for the obvious marketing advantages but IMO what we really need is ALMS and/or ROLEX..

GT still hasn't secured the right to Porsche, one of the greatest racing pedigrees.. WOW.

FXX, 288 GTO, MC12 , M6, Vantage, XKR, Zonda, Koenigsegg, Apollo, Caparo, CTS-V, G8.. damn.
 
They do have some of the most iconic cars. They do not have all of the most iconic cars and probably never will.

Why have the 03 Cobra when you've got the new better Mustangs in the game? This is coming from a huge Mustang fan. Bottom line even if they had put 5000 cars in the game still not everyone would be happy.

Well, the Cobra did get a DOHC motor and independent rear suspension, did it not? So the only move forward whith the 05 was its gorgeous looks. From an engineering point of view it was a huge step back to the same era those looks came from.
The new 5.0 and the cammer crates are nice motors though. Thank You Ford and Ford Racing!
Now release bolt on IRS please.
 
they simply just cant add all cars. loads of brands not in the game

loads of cars from 2010 and 2011 aint even in the game, thats very dissapointing. no scirocco? :< no E63 :<

But there are every single variation of the Honda Civic.

I understand that but there missing the top dogs. The cars from the 80's and 90's that still go for 8-15k in good condition.

EA holds the license to Porsche cars for use in games (originally used in the NFS series) and EA hands out sublicense to other studios (hence why we see Porsches in Forza) but for some reason EA refuses to grant Sony/PD/Kaz a Porsche sublicense.

But believe me, Kaz and PD are well aware of Porsche's absence and they're hoping to be able to put them in GT6. Because even Porsche wanted to be in GT5 but said they already agreed to an exclusive license with EA and so until EA relinquishes their grip or the agreement expires, theres no Porsche and it's not even PD/Kaz or even Porsche's fault.

I'm well aware of the situation, but the point is.. Porsche still isn't in GT. They didn't even secure newer RUF models.

Very true, one of the most dominant and well-known sportscar names totally absent from GT5. Well you know there's always GT6!

We'll just have to secure pre-orders for our great grandkids! :dopey:

I believe that after that, Porsche will never, ever, sign an exclusivity agreement with any other game studio.

Oddly, EA didn't manage to get Ferrari into NFS Hot Pursuit.
 
Ferrari 288GTO, Ferrari 599GTO and all the Ferrari 250 (250swb is my favorite)
 
This is very typical of the series, unfortunately. Some manufacturers' line-ups are almost insulting - with just a handful of well known, current street cars featured, whilst legends of the past are missing. It doesn't look like this is changing any time soon.
 
I was hoping to nail down some laps at the Ring with the Pagani Zonda Cinque, Ferrari 599 GTO and Wiesmann MF5 but I guess the Volkswagen Kubelwagen, Schwimmwagen and SambaBus will do just fine. Thats what I call "Premium" in a racing game...

ps: realy disappointed first post in the forum for me...
 
Could people stop whining about the damn ferrari's! You got 11 new premium models thats more than any manufacturer got.
 
The one thing thing I'm really disappointed about is that there's only one Maserati. Would it kill PD to add at least the MC12 and the Quattroporte? Though, honestly, I was holding out for the Tipo 61.
 
GT5 will be the weakest link with this car and track list. :indiff:

We have 3 different versions of a TVR Tuscan but no Sagaris?
Number of ferrari's is just low
Where are some nice new Seats, Volkswagens, Audis, heck I'd even loved to see Rover.
Number of new cars >2004 is very low..

Then they shouldn't add 50 Skylines, too many S2000's (esp the difference between the SpecV EU, US, JP is nonsense), and a ******** of Lancers..

DLC is what I'm hoping for and maybe they will listen. Either that or another long wait for GT6.

FXX, 599XX, Galardo GT race car, Lambo R GT...etc please! O yer and Noble please!! They where in PGR series!
 
'65 Mustang. Few, if any, as iconic as this.
 
Not even one car of the top 10 of the Top gear test track are in-game..
