Where are these DLC's

I expect a dlc pack to appear in either September or October. I'm about done with GT5 dlc wise though, I will buy the next dlc pack if their is one, I always welcome new content to GT5.
Though, I'll stick with Forza 4 now, though I will often come back to GT5 to race cars I like in that game on my favorite race courses. I also haven't finished my car collection yet due to some cars I want in certain colors not showing up.

DLC's have been promised in the past and DLC's have been promised recently. Us diehard fans hold on to words as if they were little nuggets of gold. All that we here are evasive comments, as if we were taking part in a court procedure. I'm asking YOU, my fellow GTP brothers and sisters, are we getting another DLC or not?

i dont even want to get into it, i just got back from poking around the Forza Photo section and i am pissed. they have it way better than us when it comes to car selection and customization.

This is exactly it! Kaz doesn't communicate at all. He said some months ago that they had enough content to release DLC every few months. And not much has come since then.

Recently he's talking about not making promises on dates because he doesn't want to get accused of it being delayed or whatever. Ok,fine. If he would give straight answers then that would put an end to the questions, but nothing. If he would TALK to the media and tell the fans what the plans for the future are, that would put an end to the questions. I know they like to build hype and all that crap, but Kaz and PD communication skills are a joke!

Edit: I will buy DLC,I will buy GT6,I refuse to buy Forza, and I have the money.

The pessimistic attitude being thrown about aimlessly here never ceases to amaze me. Considering that the vast majority of us are car enthusiasts, shouldn't we be able to appreciate the content other games have offer?

Since I got Forza 4 and Xbox 360 I actually don't care about next possible DLC (car packs for GT5). Thinking about it (whether or when we get it) is a waste of time and nerves. I really doubt that PD will offer some remarkable cars, only another GT-R or some boring cars like MINI's or FR-S.

I agree with you although I do care. I have been enjoying Forza4 for a while now and am awaiting the next dlc (out Tuesday), some cool cars in it. PD has been over run by Turn 10, too bad. If GT5 dlc does appear and is not an absolute blockbuster after all this time, it will just be further aggravation for those who have waited so patiently.

The whole reason people keep mentioning Forza couldn't be more obvious. People want GT5 to give them replayability and just the seasonals aren't going to do it. People want be be challenged and have fun in other ways. I don't own Forza but driving cars to play soccer or actually have the reasonably priced cars from TT looks fun, the only thing there is to do in GT5 is try to beat your own time or race a online race. And from what I have read was what seemed to be like a really good of variety of DLC cars.

So until Kaz can listen to fans for a change and give them what they want, the majority of this generation and me alike think DLC for this Dev team will always be out of the ordinary, quirky, or bizarre from here on out.

Japanese development tends to be characterized by a creative overwhelming chaos, where productions are driven by a tyrannical single creative mind and development practices tend to be old fashioned and, extremely inefficient.

All very well said.

It's all about replayability. Adding a livery editor won't be a DLC package, but damn, it sure does add replay life to a racing game!

I incline myself towards a Spec III that fixes the mistakes, adds a couple of new DLC cars/tracks and the event creator. Then I will be happy to wait years for GT6.

I don't want to sound like a pissed of fanboy, but the reason why I don't try Forza 4 is because I don't have money to buy an XBox. I've tried other PS3 car games in looks for what GT5 is missing, and so far all of them have dissapointed me heavily. I just want a car game that's enthusiast oriented, well made(finished), with a fair car list that doesn't focus on one country manufacturers, light customization (paint, wheels, small body kits), great sounds, solid graphics, cockpit view, a big carreer mode, solid physics even if it's not a simulator, and overall fun to play.

You have just briefly described Forza 4. I don't anticipate that GT series will suprass Forza in the not to distant future, because his (KAZ) way of thinking and cumminicating with players hasn't changed.

I don't think we will get a Spec III.

What you just described is what GT isn't. Mostly Japanese cars, sounds could be better, light customization, but no career mode.

I would like to believe that in the past 8 weeks while PD was dishing out the GTA gifts, they have been working on DLC to offer in a couple of weeks. But then I remember the time-frame between DLC2 & 3 :(

Show me you have been doing something for the past 8 weeks PD, please!

Kaz and his cryptic messages are really starting to get on my nerves, I feel like grabbing him round the throat and yelling "just answer the question yes or no"

I think it funny that I'm on a Gran Turismo forum talking about GT5,and I'm a pessimist because I won't buy Forza? I'm a car enthusiast,i can appreciate Forza. Ok. I just don't understand why certain people come to these forums just to talk about how great it is and tell everyone that they should be playing it also. Who cares. What does this have to do with GT5 DLC anyway?

You sir, are the winner! I too am tired of hearing about Forza. Came here to see what others are thinking about GT5 DLC, not to hear how great people think Forza is. Unforunately this is the way it is :indiff: Maybe we can get back on topic now and leave Forza to Forza Planet.

I myself am hoping for atleast 1 more DLC with some old tracks such as Midfield, Apricot Hill and Infineon though I am not sure it will happen. A new car pack would be nice also. Wait and see is all we can do.

P.s. - don't have and don't want Forza, And yes I AM A GT FAN.

Many GT fans (including me) are sick of hoping for another DLC and are tired with lack of clear statements from PD. They made many promises which weren't kept. They said that they had a lot of DLC content and they would release it approximately every two month. But we all know how it turned out to be. Nothing in February, March, April, May, June. We only get "marvelous" Scion FR-S and anothers Nissans with different stickers (to received them all we had to wait for two months!) and this is ridiculous. Almost none of our wishes have been fulfilled. We haven't received premium Veyron, Supra, Countach or new cars like Diablo and F50 although many players voted for them. Instead of this we will get another superfluous GT-R.....

PD didn't promise, they stated a goal. Obviously that goal wasn't achieved.

As far as a lack of clear statements- you'll get used to it. PD leaks stuff from time to time, but if you really want a clear statement, learn Japanese.

They should communicate via official site, twitter or other forum and clearly state, for example: "We are working on next DLC which will consist of 8 to 10 new cars and a new track. The DLC is to be released around October. Please stay tuned for more information." That would be a decent way of maintaining contact with players, no matter in which language.

And in my opinion we haven't received any DLC consisting of cars since January. I don't reckon Scion FR-S and eight Nissans with Academy stickers to be DLC we had in mind.

I think PD don't do that because of the reactions to any delay, like GT5s launch, and GT Driver's Club.

While people are complaining about DLC...I might as well "complain"...where's my DLC with a premium Ruf RT12S or RGT-8, perhaps CTR3? I need 600+PP class Ruf's please...these would be just the ticket. Be also nice to have a 997 stylized Ruf in the game. (However I think Turn 10 has license from Ruf now as the RGT-8 is in Forza :( x10 )

If someone from PD is listening the new RGT-35 looks very very nice!

I think the Spec III idea has merit. At least one more DLC was confirmed a while ago in the news section, about the time PD started to talk about GT6. My feeling says it'll be a big one to close GT5 with a bang - a large track pack from GT4 and maybe some new cars; something like the first DLC car pack.

Start big then end big - makes sense.

As to specifics - the man is tired, been busy for a long time with the GT series. What was said a while ago, that he only got to sleep at home four days a year during the start of GT? He doesn't seem to have taken a proper break since then either, so I'm not surprised at no specific answers.

If there was a delay and PD came out and clearly explained the reason for it, while at the same time setting a new date I don't think there'd be a huge negative reaction. People just like to be kept in the loop about things.
If they didn't bother to explain the reason for the delay, that could create an information vacuum, soon to be filled with all kinds of speculation and confusion, and the backlash they'd get would be deserved imo.

Your basically saying that because PD are too incompetent to set a dlc deadline for themselves and stick to it, coupled with their fear of a negative reaction if it's delayed justifies their poor attempts at communicating their plans to the Gt fanbase. So they're fearful incompetents, and that's why they can't keep us in the loop :) Wow, you really don't think much of PD at all.

Nor do I think much of people putting words in my mouth.

What I'm saying is PD don't do it for a reason, and after a while, you get used to it. PD never promised DLC, they said about 2 months, leaving room open for conflicts or adjustments, which is a good idea when setting goals.

Like my comments earlier and the poor translation, some people only heard what they wanted to hear.

Do you want to know why there hasn't been any updates to the game or any DLCS for a while? Click here.

No amount of DLC is going to fix the game for those who were disappointed, it will make the game fresh for maybe a week and that's it. The sooner they start work on GT6 the better.

This too. If PD are going to keep their fans that they have now, they need to stop dwelling on GT5 which was a huge disappointment and start working on GT6.

After this batch, my bet is that 5 is done. 6 has been their focus for awhile, as evidenced by the prototype Lucas was testing.

I think we will, but I also think they're putting it on hold because of plans for a "Final Edition" of the game with all the DLC's and updates included into one disc similar to the XL edition but complete.

Hence why we've not seen a single update or DLC avaiable for download from PD for a while. If they are going to get GT6 ready as soon as possible then they need to shift more of their focus onto the game currently in development.

I think they have. With the exception of minor tweaks, I bet anything left is already finished and ready... except minor bugs or tweaks.
