Yep looks like it was taken down. No idea why atm.

Yeah, and I'm not against buying it, it just used to be free and idk where it went
The tunes that were on his page here were old and obsolete so it served no purpose.

Why are they obsolete though? They seemed fine to me
The thread was obsolete; it had become nothing more than a link to another website, with people occasionally commenting to ask where the tunes had gone. It was pointless, and added nothing of value to GTP. Patreon is the place to go if you want his tunes. Personally, I don't understand why anyone would pay for them, but can't blame him if the demand is really there.

It's worth the little money I spent, I'm clumsy with tunes and more with liveries, cannot paint a car to save my butter, so I rely on others to do for me...

At the end of the day every car can be improved but nobody can make the car just for YOU, because everyone drives differently. I should know, I ran the biggest tuning garage in GT4 for three years and then wound it down and quit after GT6 as most people couldn't tell quality from quantity.

It would be beneficial for everyone struggling with setups to sit down, take a car, and drive it for an hour while not changing anything yet - and put some actual thought to how physics are affecting it under different situations. What happens at the front suspension when you brake? What happens at the tyre contact patch when you turn in? What happens when you begin to accelerate? And repeat the same for the rear. Not trying to be particularly fast, just thinking about the mechanical side of things and trying to visualize what's going on in the car.

After doing that, put more thought into how the settings affect the behaviour in each of those situations while changing one setting at a time for another hour. I can just about guarantee that those two hours would give a better result than using others' tunes for years.

Yep, that’s why I do a basic set up for road cars converted to race cars. Pretty much just as PD would set up a car and leave it to players to adjust to their style.

That's fine if you play countless hours. But with much less playtime you need to set priorities.
If time is an issue, here's my tip: just use stock suspension. It's perfectly sufficient in most cases, really no need to overtune.

Every Praiano tune is high expansion, low compression, max roll bars, little to no camber and toe. If that doesn’t work he blames the car or the games physics rather than his tuning methodology.
I find for my tunes I have a 'way of doing things' too. Usually for me its lowering the rear dampers for FR cars, so I can't blame him for that. But for wanting to get money for his tunes, I DO blame him for that. Thats just dirty imo. We're a community here at GTP, just helping each other work through the game. That's pretty sad if I'm being honest, I know its turning into 'the norm' and all, but still lame.

You can't blame someone for wanting to monetize something they must spend a lot of time doing. Trouble is, without being led to his Petreon site by GTPlanet google search traffic, will it be sustainable?

Est-ce que ça a été retiré ?
No

Really ?

None of his tunes ever worked for my driving style.
They’ve been working very well for me and for many others for a long time.
Personally, I’m not able to drive other tuners’ cars comfortably, which is exactly why I started creating my own setups.

If you try to fine-tune the perfect setup for your own driving style, that’s truly the best way to go.

C1 Corvette and Countach LP400 you said were broken and I made perfectly usable tunes for them but hey I'm not a grifter who says they'll provide free tunes and then not keep to their word while saying people can sub for $10, oh and asking for a rig replacement that was $4000 but actually cost $2000. its a good thing your grifting page is gone.

The GTP staff didn’t seem to feel bad for a whole decade , through all my setups and the 20+ million views for every car I posted there.
Do you have any idea how much money GTP earns from millions of views?
I’ve known this all along, and I was genuinely happy for the GTP crew.

Now that I earn my own money through my own work, you feel sad about that?
I think you’re the one who looks lame in this story.

Check the upper post.👍 Congrats for your garagge. Good luck.

Sorry, we'll have to agree to disagree here. I'm not the one who is severing ties with the community to earn some extra money. But good luck, you do you.

Entitlement is strong here

Do you actually know this? Why does it matter? You signed up to use this site. Again the entitlement is strong here.

Sad that you’re taking advantage of people about it and soo desperate to do so, case in point(if you feel like it ffs):

Honestly you’re the one who’s looking bad here with the reaction you’re giving here. You’re soo proud of what you’ve achieved on Patreon you could have just left GTP and never commented but your ego as “maestro” brought you back to comment. But hey those free tunes didn’t last long… man of your word right??

Edit: forgot to add the original begging for $4000 to buy a new sim rig was that his equipment had broken, turns out the rig was fine and he needed a new rig to have a “better feel of the physics”, moderators stepped in and found out the requested equipment was actually $2000. Avoid this con man.

Good luck and congrats on conning people.

Projection. You're the one acting entitled.

Praiano hasn't "conned" anyone. His tunes are amazing and bring great joy to those of us who don't have the time or wish to do tuning. We (his Patreon subscribers) all have access to all the free tunes provided by the many wonderful people on GTPlanet - and we choose to use pay for the Praiano tunes 'cos they consistently deliver value and driving pleasure to us. For the cost of a pack of chewing gum per week.

Best $5 I spend each month! https://www.patreon.com/cw/PraianoGTSettings

Sure… please explain how? Am I demanding a cut of traffic revenue to GTP? Nope think again I didn’t get my tuning thread deleted for a reason now did I?

It can be simultaneously argued GTPlanet's popularity helped build up your own reputation & following.

I have zero issue with you charging money for tunes. But, let's not attempt to present a case where GTPlanet benefited more off views from you than vice versa. This website is 25 years old & still surviving in an age where forums have long been surpassed.

If thats true, then wow.

Here are two channels that consistently provide excellent and fast tunes without you, the viewer, having to pay them a single dime. If you still think it's worth paying extra for tunes that aren't nearly as quick or well-adapted to the physics model... well there's not really much to say is there?
