where should allmendinger go?

Where do we all think allmendinger should go? After his 7th at indy, should he be looking at a penske ride there?

He already screwed it up with Penske once.
In Indy? Maybe, probably not with Penske though. In NASCAR? No way, again not with Penske. He's got a reigning champion in the 2 and Logano is outperforming his efforts so far in the 22.
I think he's a decent driver, but unless he gets welcomed back with open arms to NASCAR, his future is in ALMS or some form of road racing. He won't get a decent drive in NASCAR or Indy because he messed up.
It's a shame, but it's how it is.

I think he could easily land a ride at Penske in Indycar. Roger flat out said he would support him through that set back, it couldn't be all that bad if he landed a top ride after a recovery in Indy.

Do I think his NASCAR days are over as far as a shot there, sure. He is actually a better Indycar, road racer outside NASCAR rankings but he also only really showed improvement at RPM and didn't fit well in the 22 after taking a huge spotlighted roll from Busch.

Overall, I think we will see him keep running a mixed schedule between Indycar and maybe some more races for MSR next year.
