Which is better? R34 or RS200?

I've really been focusing my efforts on drifting a highly tuned (lightweight, drivetrain mods, 221hp) Toyota RS200 but recently I started drifting with a stock R34 Vspec with simulation tyres and new oil (giving it 339hp) and set the TCS and ASM both to zero.

After a few hours of driving it, I can drift this thing faster and more consistantly than my RS200 on steeper angles with next to no countersteer input except when linking or manji-ing down a straight.

I don't know alot about the mentality of drifters, so I'm curious if this four wheel drive thing is like cheating or something.

!^ Says it all ^! Depends what you want. Huge angles and no countersteer, or Counter, lower angles with more skill involved.

Yeah, the GT-R IS nice. I do prefer the R32 GT-R more than the R34, though. (Check out the GTP banner. Happy Holidays!)

Yeah, thats what it seems like to me.
FR drifting is overly difficult with so much fine tuning the angles and rpm mid-drift. It sort of takes away from the enjoyment.

With my R34 I can get hella steep angles and drift these huge lines, linking with ease, simply turning in the direction I want to drift in, then let go of the steering which causes it to basically lock onto the line I want. Then I can just steer or countersteer and add/remove acceleration as needed.

err

i can make a gtr a FR

The R32 is old though. And, yes, you can get huge-ass angles with both FR and AWD but you are more prone to spinning out in an FR.

Thats why it feels like cheating.

Get to steep in an R34? Floor it and full lock counter. Boom. Front wheels pull you straight :\

The key words here are 'not many'. Which doesn't imply that the rally scene is devoid of FR types altogether. And yes, 4WD and AWD cars seem to simply thrash the RWDs, if those scores are anything to go by.

I thought we were talking about drifting here..not rallys. Yes WRC does have drifting in it, but..Okay, whatever. :odd:

We are still talking about drifting.

I was just saying, there are more 4WD cars than FR cars in rally and that rally emphasizes on drifting, simply because it is faster than grip driving in those conditions.

Also, it seems 4WD cars are more effective at drifting than the FR's and FR cars are more effective at grip driving than 4WD's.
