I used to drink whole milk all the time, but switched to semi-skimmed a while back.... my gf drinks skimmed though :yuck: , so I need to buy whole milk to mix with it to make it drinkable :sly: ... blimey, who'd have thought milk could be so complicated...

I've had Non-fat milk my whole life... I'm assuming that's the same as Skim? Being used to no-fat milk I pretty much hated 1% and whole milk when I've tried it.

I grew up on the real stuff. Milked right from the cow, and you had to shake it up when you took it out of the fridge. Else you'd only get the cream which had settled to the top.

Good stuff.

Now I mosly stick to 2%

Semi skimmed mainly. My daughter is on the full-bore milk.

Actually, I'm surprised that no comedian has mentioned mother's milk yet.

2% I drink at least a gallon a week by myself. If I have Oreo cookies I go thru even more. :) Cookies and milk are like a daily desert for me.
I dont mind whole milk but there is just too much fat in it.

Dairy really isn't all that good for you, so never get it in at home (cheese is the devils work). We get semi at work, so that's what i have in my tea.

Semi Skimmed for drinking - Whole for cooking. The EO uses Skimmed in her coffee so we have that in the fridge as well...

Oh yes. Oreos + milk = heaven

Whole.

I prefer rat milk over dog milk.

Dog milk has an infinite shelf-life. It lasts longer than any other kind of milk - because it tastes exactly the same when it's gone off as when it's fresh.

Plus it's full of marrowbone jelly.

Never did get that... I don't like things mushy. I don't eat oreos that much anyway.
Then don't let it get mushy. Dip it in so it absorbs some milk but is still a bit crunchy and it's really good.

I don't really like milk. If I do drink it then full skimmed. The only dairy product I like is icecream. I hate cheese except on pizza. Get plenty of c and d through enriched orange juice.

The TTJ household is all Skim Milk. ( for health reasons mostly ) now that We've used it for so long, you don't even notice the watery-ness....

I've never had whole milk. I can't imagine how something with 100 times as much fat would taste, it must be like drinking butter.
Whole milk is only about 3-4% fat. That would be about 3-4 times as much.

I prefer 2% but can drink anything but skim. The thin watery thing just doesn't seem right.
My wife prefers skim so we settled on 1%.

When I was a kid I had milk straight off the farm. We would let it settle and then scoop the cream off the top and use it on our cereal. Now that was good.

Its udderly delicious ! :dopey:

The kids in my family had semi skimmed. We used to have whole but realised it was too fattening. My parents both drink skimmed. Neither being fan of milk though.

I've milked a cow several times, by hand :D

You may want to see the Milk commercial where the gramps arms rip off as he's trying to lift a wheelbarrel then. :nervous: :D

lol, I think I've seen that.

I shouldn't ever get osteoperosis as running and other impact sports strengthen your bones.

I'll go through about a gallon of skim in about 5 days. More(or less depending on how you look at it) in the summer.
