Dancer in the Dark
Requiem for a Dream

I'll think of more later................;)

i forgot alot of movies that i cried in but one was starwars ep 2 attack of the clones because the end i haven't blinked so my eyes got watery

i have cried in alot of movies the most recent one i can remember was Armageddon at the end when bruce willis says he cant make it back home and Liv Tyler starts to cry then me :(

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

My Dog Skip..

That's it. I've gotten choked up a few time's at other films but these were the only movies where I had to let it all go or else risk my head exploding.

When I first saw Return of the Jedi, I cried when Darth Vader died. I think I was like 8 or so at the time.

I know I've been teary-eyed in plenty of movies, but I don't think I've actually cried in a movie in a long time. I'll have to think about it.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
The Passion of The Christ
Cold Mountain
Saving Private Ryan
Ghost

Those are just a few. Blah, pretty much anything that is supposed to make a 14 year old girl cry gets me too. I get way too into movies.

Well, then, I guess you just weren't able to identify with the story. I on the other hand can, so it was very profoundly moving. Furthermore, I can't see how anyone cannot find the end of that movie, moving?

Dancer in the Dark's ending, will make anyone cry, unless you are just a heartless ba$$tard..... ;)

How do you mean not able to identify?

What I mean is, I have lived through hard times (similiar in intensity, and subject), so I was very moved by the story....it's quite a sad depressing movie. Personally, I think it's hard not to be moved by such a brilliantly written, directed, and acted drama............
Darren Aronofsky is one of my favorite directors, and directed another equally brilliant movie ( Pi ).

Some others:

The Green Mile (the ending with John in "Ol' Sparky")
;)

Many many moons ago, I had a tough time getting through "The Outsiders"

Damn you, I was going to say that. :grumpy:

The only movie I have cryed in is ace adventura, when the little squirrel or what ever it was fell off of that rope over the big canyon or something like that. I was around 5 year's old.

The book on which the movie was based was awesome.

I don't totally remember...

I think Saving Private Ryan might have gotten me.

Some that I know came close:

Lord of the Rings Return of the King
The Patriot (that damn little girl)
Brian's Song

I've felt as though i was about to start but...I've never broken up in tears during a movie - but never in real life situations either.

I cry at the end of the original Babe, where Babe wins the sheep dog trials. Every time. And, I mean, that's a lot of times, since I have two daughters, and we own it.

I get a little misty when Heath Ledger bites it in The Patriot, and when William Wallace gets quartered in Braveheart.

Quadrophenia will get me every time, too, though it's been a while since I've seen it.

The end of Excalibur, where poor, noble, clueless Arthur cashes in his chips always leaves me teary, too.

You guys are gonna make fun of me but I can usually feel a lump coming up when I see one particular commercial.

It's a cell phone commerical where this guy is on business travel and everything is going wrong. He's locked out of his hotel, he has to run for a delayed flight... you get the picture.

Anyway at the end of it his daughter calls him up and you can see all of that irritation erase from his face. Hell I'm getting a little misty right now thinking about it. :)

My wife has also confessed to getting a little chocked up on that commerical.

Anyone seen it?

Edit: Also, Amistad, Braveheart (when William's wife is killed), Life is Beautiful.

I'm a big film buff. But if a film brings out tears in me, it is never on the first viewing. Only on the second time around, if at all. Its rare for it to happen, but then considering how many good sentimental movies I've seen, I can remember a few.

*I guess I should post a spoiler warning if you haven't seen these films and plan to*

Armageddon did nothing for me, but Deep Impact has this scene where Elijah Wood's parents are about to be engulfed by the tidal wave and instead of running away shrieking, they spend their last moments staring lovingly into each other's eyes. Very touching.

Gibon's last moment in Braveheart is also a tearjerker when he envisions his long dead wife while the axe falls. The subtle soundtrack scoring there is superb because it returns for a moment to play their 'love theme' before resolving into the main theme.

I credit chick-flicks Steel Magnolias and Beaches for a couple of loose tears, but please... don't tell my wife.

When Meryl Streep buries Redford in Out of Africa she cannot let go of dirt she has in her hand. Rather than thowing it on his coffin, she clutches it close to her. That's one of the finest moments in film as far as I'm concerned.

I still get tears in my eye when Kirk stumbles out the word "human" for Spock at his funeral in The Wrath of Khan. This is without a doubt Shatner's finest acting moment. (and probably the drama highlight of the entire franchise)

The deeply moving words uttered by Wind in His Hair at the end of Dances with Wolves is also extremely touching.

The tale of the main character's mother in The Joy Luck Club is deeply tragic. She is fleeing on foot from Japanese invasion in the 1930s and is infected with dysentery. She elects to leave her two infant daughters beside a tree, along with every item of wealth she possed rather than risk dying beside them, for fear that no one would take them because their dead mother will haunt her children (the Chinese are very supersitous). Wow, talk about a heart-wretching moment. This scene has me crying like a little girl every time I see it.

Plenty more, but those are what I recall at the moment.

You guys are gonna make fun of me but I can usually feel a lump coming up when I see one particular commercial.

Acutally danoff, its my wife that gets teary at that one. I just think it's nice..... you wuss :D

Can't remember crying, but the closest I've come (and it happens every time) is the scene in Dumbo when Dumbo's mum is locked in a trailer, and puts her trunk through the bars so that Dumbo can swing on it.

Also the end of American Pie: The Wedding, I seem to remember, and there's another film but I can't remember what it is.

Ok Mr. I-cried-at-Beaches. :)

Thanks for reminding me about Wrath of Kahn. That was a great scene. Shatner naild that line... "uman". He couldn't get the h out.

I think a lot of what makes that moment hit is the scene previous to it where spock is trapped behind the glass after being irradiated. He and kirk talking through the glass.... also very touching.

Oh geez completely forgot about Babe. That's so true, very good movie.

Also I forgot about Green Mile as well guys!! Thanks for the refreshment. :banghead:

I'm still having trouble remembering any movie that actually got me to cry. Lots of them seem to get me close though.

Another good tear jerker is Last of the Mohicans. The end of that movie is fantastic and very sad (if I'm remembering correctly).

Hey, chicks dig men who are 'in touch' with their feelings :D

I just remembered another one. When Tom Hanks looses 'Wilson' in Cast Away and climbs aboard his raft, all his will and hope finally broken after four years and he simply wails... my heart swells in sympathy. Credit Zemeckis with fine directing, but Hanks really delivers a superb performance.
