Yeah, Porsche has to be the most glaring omission of a maker in the history of GT. That really needs to be rectified.
Thats not PDs fault, EA is the exclusive holder for the Porsche licenses.

This is not definitely an omission. I've read somewhere that PD doesn't have proper Porsche licensing (they refused, methinks) for this game, this is why we have some RUF instead. Maybe one day both PD and Porsche will come to an agreement.
Agreed to all. And I apologize if I came off like I was blaming Sony/PD for it (the words "glaring omission" *DO* make it read that way, I realize too late...). I know it's a licensing issue between the various companies.
But I would really, REALLY love for them to get it worked out with Porsche, with EA, with whomever. Porsche just has too rich a history in motorsports to NOT be a big part of this franchise. And that includes everything from the old 550 Spyder, the Speedster, through the 911/935/997 models, and most especially the 917 line. And let's not leave out the 904 while we're at it.
Carrera GT definitely has to be in that lineup, too. And they've got a couple of hot hybrids that are in the works that would add some fun to a few events.
Come to think of it, why NOT have some hybrid/electric races, ones in which you could actually recharge? Bring in the Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Volt while we're at it. (Hey, they aren't my cup of tea, but it could bring whole new strategies to races, trying to find ways to maximize performance AND range)
To answer OP, we need Koenigseggs and Shelby GT500s
Agreed to all who said Koenigsegg. Far too potent a car to ignore. And more Shelbys can never be a bad thing, can it?
