I think the biggest disappointment in the ps3 was it's inability to play ps2 games (minus the 80 gig) but I have already used up near 60 of my 160 (I forgot where to access it's memory usage)

A 'ps4' should play all previous gen models

Isn't it a bit too early to judge I mean we know nothing about these consoles.

I usually like a fresh start in every generation I try not to factor in the problems of current consoles. But I'm mostly likely going to end up with both but for the one I will purchase first and use excessively for the first year is the PS3 mainly for Gran Turismo (If it is a launch title :))

I don't plan on getting a Wii U but shouldn't it be a choice? How about a poll?

I'm buying the Nintendo Sega Wii Connect Box Station Scuderia Stradale Evoluzione.

No love for Wii U, eh?

Honestly, I think I'm going to sit this one out. It's just too early to tell.

It's hypothetically based on what each system contracted with it like uncharted vs halo or gt vs forza, at least in my opinion, that's how I look at it

I decided to resurrect my 360 from the dead space in the back of my closet today, after not turning it on for over a year. I turn it on, it makes the most horrible grinding noises, then quiets down. So I go to dl the update, uh-oh error message, console won't do anything. Cruise the internet to find an answer, after 20 minutes of searching and a weird ritual of unplugging with the disc half open all is well.

I put Forza 3 in and go to Fujimi Kaido to warm myself up, loading, loading, loading.. Think to myself that the sticks on the PS3 are alot nicer.. Frozen. After 3 tries trying to get the stupid track to load and having to reboot it, I unplug my 360 and now it's back in the closet, where it will remain.

So to answer the question, we'll have to wait until E3 before I think about this, but Microsoft's offering would have to be REALLY super to get me back in their camp.

I need to resurrect my PS2, It's all setup, I just have to plug into tv but I have no idea what will happen, (It's the big ps2) and I'l have to compare nascar dirt to daytona (the best nascar game ever) to GT5, just for fun.

I guess my point is durability is anotherthing to look into, I want to turn it on 30 years from now, and go 'Do you remember this?'

Did you use the triplle screen setup trick to adjust your field of view? If you did, that's what's causing the freezing while loading a track.

As for me, I still have the very same Xbox360 120GB Elite I bought in 2007 and never had an issue with it, and I don' t really treat it very well when it comes to cleaning out dust 'n stuff. I can count the times it froze during games and general issues on one hand, even after four years of constant use.

I never had any luck with Sony's consoles, though. I went through five fat PS2s, two PS2 slims and am on my third PS3. Luckily, all of them were covered by warranty, but still. Now, after the horrible bad luck I had with the PS2, I wasn't even planning on getting a PS3. I did for GT5, quite some time ahead of its release (thanks to the delays, that is). It has frozen dozens of times while playing Fallout: Las Vegas alone... And that's on one of the newer 250GB Slims, which is better mantained than my Xbox.

Also, when it comes to games, I'm indifferent, really. Most stuff I care about is multi plattform, anyways and the only big exclusives, for me, were Gran Turismo and Forza. Since GT5, I've lost most of my interest in that franchise, though.

Overall, I'd have to go with the next Xbox. Not that I'll be getting it as soon as it releases, I'll be waiting for a model like the Elite to come out just so I end up with a console that has most of the íssues fixed that the early models are usually stricken with. I'm not ruling the purchase of a PS4 out, though. It'll be a good while after the launch of the corresponding GT title, though, and after reading a fair bit of reviews and such. Going by GT's record (GT3 and GT5), the prices will have come down a lot by that time, too.

Ps4 as the PS2 was great and the ps3 is just awsome. Since launch I had 1 fatty that died in january and now my slim is doing very well.

How do you find the PS3 awesome if your very expensive purchase broke and then you had to go out and effectively spend double to get it back again?

Moreover, I'd like to know how someone can come to a conclusion as to which console they like better if they're only owning/have only owned one of the two, not both.

Granted, that's an assumption I'm making here, based on the fact that there was no mention of an Xbox.

Aside from prejudice, of course.
