I'm beginning to get tired of seeing people cry about the limit on trading. Trading is pointless anyway...

The limit is a good move - it is to stop idiots duping cars and cheating.

Stop crying and play the game properly.

I just love it when people say that they have to play the game "properly" now that the trading limit is here.

What exactly is going to stop people from strapping two rubber bands to their DS3 to grind money for them?

It is just an automatism to transform A-Spec into B-Spec. You could do the same in B-Spec, too.

I still don't consider it as playing the game properly.

You're going into A-spec mode, which purpose is to allow the player to race, and using two rubber bands to race for you so you're not actually playing and thus, not playing the way the game was intended. Just like duping.

I'm not against either duping or A-spec auto-grinding. It's just funny when people say to play the game properly now when there are people doing the latter.

I wish there was a troll emote. Seriously man just stop. If trading makes other people happy then let them do it. If you don't like it, don't do it. *throws troll food*

What an ORIGINAL idea for a thread! 👍

Indeed. 👍

unrelated: If I purchase the game, then use the disc as a frisbee, will people get angry at me for not "playing the game properly"? :sly:

It depends if you're holding it label up or down. Don't you know anything? :irked:

That's fine as long as you don't use a rubber band to fling it or try to copy it 👍

See what I did there? :sly:

I made 2 trades since the game came out and one of those trades resulted in the guy stealing a FGT. So yeah, i stopped trading after that happen and no longer care about the trade feature. If a friends needs a car i'll just add it to the share feature.

PD shouldve made a trading system where its two-way, you see what your getting for what your giving before confirming. Oh well.

Nah share feature bleh~ though i do like the loan system they have now =D

I like giving cars to my friends that's been looking for something. but then again those arent crazy high prices cars.

Wear some diapers when you do the endurance races man. Yeah? While you're at it, stop using the X1 in A-spec and B-spec if you want to play the game 'properly'.

PD never intended trading/duping in the first place. I'll admit to have doing it a few times myself, and I knew that PD would be fixing this.

However, the way they went around with the fix deserves a Kazunori Facepalm:dunce:

Anyway, whiners gonna whine about whiners who whine.

Wish people would actually play GT5 before actually making threads. There is no TRADING in GT5. It's called GIFTING...sigh.

I would actually prefer trading car for car, but that isn't in the game now is it? As for duping it's a perfectly legitimate workaround for this craptastic system PD implemented in place of GT4's repeatable prize car system and selling of cars netted you better money. GT5 nixes all of that in favor of what? Something better? No, nothing at all really. I play GT5 a lot, but since they allowed save copying I used that to my advantage. Can't try before you buy, no worries, back up save and buy the car if I don't like it, exit the game copy save back and viola that bad choice never happened. Same with the paint chip crap, no paint preview on the car you're about to paint, seriously what year is this? Rinse and repeat, I bet you call that cheating too. I call it getting my enjoyment back that PD so wrongly took, I will badger them until they unlock all the paints and give us a real paint shop and repeatable prize car winnings. Who wants to trade a car that you will never get again unless you start the game over, that's a little ignorant. Paint shop like FM3 would give you something to trade as you will be the sole owner of something created by a single person, real rarity people. Not some imposed crap forced on you by the game and the subsequent updates.

I'm not crying I already completed my collection. I feel bad for the ones who will now be unable too. Doesn't it bother the anti-dupers that some of us completed our collection already. Show me someone who has a complete garage that did not dupe or trade. The new update makes it even more exclusive for having a complete collection. Now the hardcore dupers are rewarded. Just my thoughts.

I didn't completed my collection but I did got most of the cars I was after , now I can just do the seasonal events to get sone money and tune my cars or buy something nice that comes in the ucd that I didn't knew and then take them to the ring or online while crybaby here "enjoys" the roundness of Indy .

I don't really Care about the new limit because I stopped trading long ago when I had most if the cars I like ;)

I don't have a complete garage but have duped/traded to acquire all the cars above the limit so the 1 mil limit does not affect me @ all. The one car/ticket trade per system is the only hold up but that's fine with me. I will continue to dupe/trade but just @ a slower rate now.

haha maybe the people who insist on playing hte game properly (whatever that means..but I digress) will stop by and remove said rubberbands. Then they will exit the house with a stern warning to, 'play the game properly, or we will be back!'

Who cares about trading? I'd say.. everyone in the marketplace forum. Plus bunch of people who don't use this site.

There, we can close the thread now.

Crap, my bad.

What if I buy the game simply to start it up and use the menu BGM as ambient music for dinner parties?

No way. You're doing it wrong, the menu BGM is there while you're navigating through menus and deciding on what to do next in-game. Not to entertain your guests! PD didn't intend for that feature to be used in such a way! YOU'RE CHEATING!

I am getting close to finishing my collection (about 75 more UCD cars to go, and 100 premiums or so, but I have all the expensive ones, i.e. 10 million and above). I traded for the 370Z GT Academy Version '08. That's the only car, since it is so rare and I did not feel like winning a level 12 ticket and opening it 6000 times to get the thing (nor birthday trick).

Realistically, I could have gotten enough level 12 tickets, without duping them, or reloading to open, to get the car, but that would have taken more time than is necessary (and is borderline insane).

No duping involved, not even for paints.

Much respect then, but did you use rubber bands? The amount of credits to buy each one of those cars is pretty insane.

Really, do tell how you could get more than two Lvl 12 tickets in the game without trading to acquire more than the two one wins?

The 370Z GT Academy is an easy car to acquire from the Lvl 12 ticket because there are only 27 cars that come from that ticket.
