No one's posting there avatar, that's exactly what makes earlier pages defunct because people have probably changed there avatar by now. So if someone went to look at the beginning pages of this thread they'd probably end up getting confused.

The dilemma is when an avatar is updated, the old one is lost, as no copy is stored on the server.
