who here just absolutely hates the Escudo?

I hate the Escudo, I don't know why though. I guess because it is just too fast on the dirt race tracks for me because I like the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI RAlly Car better.

Well I will say the car is fast...

But I hate the thing also, but not for the same reasons...

I hate the damn thing not because of handling or anything, for me its the power.

Power like the escudo can make any run of the muck racer walk away with a race without even trying.

I think the escudo is just a tool for bad racers to win thier races.

If you ask me, its not less than the cheapest car in the game.

Power well beyond any car in the game, and 4 wd, that makes for one hell of a straight liner.

However, keep in mind that it still cant handle f1 cars on a technical track.

Still with all that said... Ive got an escudo in my garage. Sure it only has about 10 miles on it, but like I said before; no descent racer needs that thing, its just a car for the losers to cheat with.

Although I know that some like it, so you guys can have it, I just dont like it.

I used to hate the Escudo when GT2 was the newest GT game, but now I don't really care for the car anymore.

I would have to say that the Escudo is strictly for ****s and grins with me. I like to show off my high speed acts to other people with it. Other than that, it is useless to me.

I like it in GT2 when I'm doing the rally (Eski vs Eski) but otherwise, I use the GT-One Road Car.

I still use the GT-One Road Car in GT3 but only when I want to finish an Endurance. I use the Eski when I wanna show my friends the Wheelie trick.

I remember i created a thread a while back named, "why does everyone hate the escudo?".

I will state why i dont understand why its hated, also stating some things i like about it.

I would agree with gokents points on the escudo if this were in gt2, but not gt3. the escudo in gt2 was just a cheater car. in gt3 the driver has to be half good or the escudo will rape them. driving the escudo quickly (quickly, not fast, we all know the escudo is fast in a straight line, but quick times require skill) requires skill. if you are have no skill you will wipe out in almost every turn. sure this will still make a faster lap time than most other cars, but so will an f1. an f1 is much easier to drive quickly.

people who say it handles like crap should tune it. i have eliminated almost all of the understeer in the car. any understeer thats left is only there if you wham on the gas irresponsibly. this understeer is very understandable for a car with 1600hp. with tuning, the escudo is among my fastest cars. at complex i think i have made runs with it around 3:40. (i will check later)

driving the escudo is challenging and always provides that "thats fast!" thrill. i remember trying to see how fast i could get with the car at all of the tracks. this was fun, because it was so challenging. to think of it, i havent driven the car with my new momo force wheel yet. that should be fun, hehe........

The cudo can be driven in any race it just has to be finessed in the turns and heavy on the brakes early!!! and half or no power in the turns and to keep it under some controll always shift before 5krpm in lower gears.... I don't drive in races but I would if I had to....

i got my escudo handling very good but adjusting the suspention and some other things.

but then i wanted it to handle even better so i threw a f1 body, f1 suspention, f1 tires, & f1 body and now it goes like a (fast) dream!

But when you think about it, you could tune the escudo to eliminate most understeer, but you could tune another car to have no understeer at all.
