My brother was planning to pay full price on a PS4 next Tuesday but I stopped him. Since all the games he wants are also out on Xbox ONE, and I want FM6. We are now going halves on the Xbox ONE, next Tuesday.

This will actually be the first time I've owned anything Xbox related and completely ignoring Playstation this generation. What actually used to keep me going for Playststion was GT and Ratchet & Clank, but GT isn't appealing to me anymore and R&C is rebooting and I remember having a blast with the FM5 demo. I can't wait to try my first Forza game :D.

I'm not meaning in any way to be sarcastic here but, this is really a Rhetorical Question. Is rain wet?

Know what I mean?

See what I did there. I think you answered your question, :D

Yes it was a very Rhetorical Question:lol:! I've been racing Gran Turismo since the first iteration of the Sim racer, and I had a thread how much would you pay for DLC with Porsche in it? admin locked me out of my own thread because of my relentless comments for one of the most famous manufacturers in autosports, So now Turn 10 has added Porsche to Forza Horizon, and is going to add Porsche to FM6, http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/t...-and-FM6--update--official-press-release.aspx

So are GT fans tired of waiting for Sony and Kaz to make it happen, I know I am, and I'm tickled pink to now be in a position to have all of my favorite cars in one iteration. FM6.

I can't wait to try my first Forza game :D.

You will not be disappointed, I purchased a PS4 for Project CARS, to pacify me until GT7 is released, But when I saw the Car list for FM6 plus Porsche, And all of the cars are in high resolution, No Old Gen Iterations of the cars, I bought an Xbox One + FM6, I haven't stop playing since I bought it, The AI difficulty is optionally great in all career mode races, paint customization like I've never seen in any of the GT series, The only negative thing is if you love Endurance races, no dynamic weather or Day to Night transitions, If GT7 isn't on this level it will be my last purchase of the GT series, so it may be 2017 before Kaz and Polyphony Digital can even come close to this. Turn 10, Job well done.

This is my only caveat for the game. But, I'm over it. Its what was killing me in FM4( along with the uncontrollable burnouts at corner exit). Some of this can be overcome depending on car and set up. I'm finding snap oversteer from the Group 5 cars yet, the car doesnt spin out. If I oversteer in my ND, I'm gone. The V8SC, gone. STCC S60, gone. I tried softening the front anti-roll bar and setting rear tyre pressure between 20-24 to dial some of the snap-oversteer out. Other than this, the game is great.

@wraith of horus just get it. The cars are awesome. When you're racing a D Type Jag in the wet at Silverstone or a Group 5 CSL at The Glen, your grin will say it all.

So I took the plunge and bought Forza 6 today, BIG SIGH!!!!! after having tried the demo, race 1 Ford GT, race two RX7. I know the aids are probably set to full assist. I want to ask more about Physics simulation in 6 compared to Forza 5. Anything new, improved?

So the question is for everyone who has played the game so far and tweaked the simulation settings on 6's physics simulation. Steering >>> Is understeer, oversteer, and lift of oversteer aswell as body roll simulated properly in Forza 6 now?

Also are there any other new physics simulated with the suspension, body, and tyres and brakes or anything else new? I'm asking because I don't know much about the technicalities of what Forza actually simulates. Seems like a good thread to be educated.

Because after all, the simulation is what will make or break a racing game and keep you playing it from putting it down... like I put down forza 5 quite a bit.

After reading this Forza Motorsport Forum I'm returning my XBOX One And Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Wheel for A refund until Porsche is available for download :boggled:

http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/t...nd-FM6--update--official-press-release.aspx?=

Even though the latest report is in 2016 I don't feel secure in such a big investment that may not materialize.
http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/t...-and-FM6--update--official-press-release.aspx

I really like FM6, but I bought it on the strength of the inclusion of Porsche, and I've searched the web for absolute conformation from turn 10, and I found NONE, I'm not willing to gamble on a rumor, I'll just keep my FM6 game disc until Turn 10 has the Porsche Pack available for download.:indiff:

Is it Possible to close your Xbox account and sell your DLC Codes with the game disc?? because that is what I want to do if Porsche is Not put in FM6:confused:

So you'd rather lose out on money then just play the game. That seems a bit extreme, really. I don't believe you can close your Xbox Account, and if you've already entered in the codes for the DLC, they will not work anymore and they will be restricted to your account.

Either way, they themselves noted(click for article) that they are working with EA to deliver the Porsche experience in 2016. While that's not exactly a 100% hard date guarantee, I'm sure they would have atleast a little backing if they are going to go so far and let the world know, a year in advance.

Here's the direct quote if you don't feel like clicking the article
Bringing Porsche to Forza Horizon 2 is fantastic news for Xbox fans and, even better, it’s just the start! We're excited to share that we are working together with Porsche and EA to deliver the Porsche experience to Forza Motorsport 6 players in 2016. We'll have more details to share in the future on the integration.

I just picked up the 1TB Halo edition Xbone last week to supplement my PS4. I have a complete Thrustmaster setup so I'm only going to have to swap the base in order to use my setup on the Xbone.

I wanted the physical disc for Forza, not the digital download.

Pcars was way too boring for me and I'm looking forward to trying Forza. I did try the demo, way too many assists, but the games seems promising. It will take up the time between now and GT7.

Porsche is definitely coming, just not this year. After making their big announcement over the summer, there's no way T10 could back out now without causing riots.

So you'd rather lose out on money then just play the game.

Yeah It is extreme, because I'm extreme  but I have a total of $530.00 invested in hardware that Porsche will be in FM6 in 2016, So I may take a $50.00 hit on the DLC passes now, but if things don't work out as it did on a previous version Forza Motorsport where Porsche never materialized according to the Forza Forum, it would be a $630.00 hit, don't get me wrong I'm not bashing FM6, I really like it, but Porsche is the only reason I purchased an XBOX One, between Assetto Corsa, P-CARS, and GT7 I will get all the other cars on PS4 I just purchased in March of 2015 with P-CARS, but if Porsche is in FM6 in 2016 I will just buy a XBOX One again, so I'll just keep my disc copy of FM6 until then.

I wanted the physical disc for Forza, not the digital download.

That's why I didn't buy the FM6 Limited Edition Xbox One, because I wanted the disc, So I bought 500GB XBOX One and the FM6 disc separately, but since I'm now returning it until 2016 Porsche Release, I wish I had purchased The XBOX One Limited FM6 edition, that way I would get the full $399.00 back. But if everything with EA-Porsche and Turn 10 works out I will repurchase.:sly:

Then it was a bit foolish on your part to get a game based on DLC it may or may not receive. All this seems pretty unnecessary, really, and how do you plan on getting that much of your money back from the purchase? Even if you sell it to a private buyer, you'd still lose a sizable chunk, most likely. Selling it to a game store? Forget about that idea as you'd just get ripped a new one. If that's what you feel like doing, it is your property, but You'd essentially be losing money, and then re-buying the full console again.

Also, I don't ever recall there saying there would be Porsche in a certain iteration, just for it to be pulled. It Came in FM4 and Horizon 2, but there was no mention of it being in Horizon 1 or FM5.

Once the graphics and audio pleasures begin to normalise
For me what will make or break a racing game is it being fun to play, physics that make the cars enjoyable to race

Look forward to your comments and opinion with the game and using the TX wheel.

It'll still be a good game @Haulin_Hebrew but for already having the ps4 and pcars and planning to get asserrto corsa the there isn't much point to have it but forza. But from my perspective I feel it's worth having.

Also if Porsche has come I previous installments it's just a matter of time before it comes to fm6

Who's getting an XBOX One for Forza 6? This guy. Seriously, they hit the ball out of the park and into the next state with Forza 6.

@ImaRobot and everyone else

So I bought the Ultimate version of the game.

Just finished the 2nd race at yas marina in a 22b. Just wondering if you've seen my drivatar in any of your races yet?? Am I doing ok?, I kept having to rewind but making sure I didn't hit anyone although I got slight scratch somewhere on my front right win. Lost first two races and had to set braking assist off and to ABS ON, steering assist set to normal 10% credit loss OFF. Then in the 3rd race I came 1st and saved the replay. I've shared my race replay so it should appear on forzamotorsport.net right? You should be able to see it now.

Overall my impressions are I'm liking the simulation so far since driving the 2017 Ford GT and the subie with modified assists so far. So don't know what other cars will be like. Loving the graphics, frame rate silky smooth so far and the scenery is amazing, definately 3d textures and scenery looks like you could walk into it now. Rio de Janeiro looks amazing. I've quit the Volume one career after doing this 2nd race at Yas Marina and qualifiying to the next track which I think is at night. I quit so I can explore the cars that I've been awarded and test drive and explore the rest of the game and carry on with the career another day.

The Ultimate version has awarded me some special VIP cars, and the 10 anniversary car pack aswell as 5 million credits and some other gift cars. I won a BMW 2014 on my first mod spin thingymigiggy. So far liking the game though. I just hope the simulation stays good with all the cars. Haven't tried simulation steering yet. Can't wait to browse through the whole car list now and track list. And my top priority, mess around with the customization and paint shop. 👍 T10!

The Drivatar system will be interesting for me :P. It'll force me to drive as clean as possible instead of in GT6 when I'm really clumsy in Single Player .

I bought everything about seven days ago, 15 day return policy at Walmart, So Full Refund for Hardware and Extended warranties:lol:, From what I'm reading on the Forza Forum is that The new Need For Speed from EA is scheduled for Nov. that is probably why the DLC is projected to be released Spring 2016, Hope the Need For Speed won't be delayed, that could push thing back further, I guess I will hold the FM6 disc until then, unless Porsche is in GT7, but I doubt it, I had fun these past few days, I hope it does come, then that way I can complete career mode in a Porsche.:sly:

just got my ferrari 458 spider wheel set up on my g27 rig and tried it out a bit. That's defiantly going to take some getting used to but it will be nice to use a wheel like before.

that should hold you until NFS completes its first term sales and green light is given to T10 to roll the porsches in FM6

Everything is Chill:cool:, I played FM6, LOVED IT! But I'm not sure if I want FM6 without Porsche and Ruf, and I don't want to gamble it, Because the deal could go south, http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/t...nd-FM6--update--official-press-release.aspx?= it has before, so for me it is better to wait it out, and plus free range driving games like Horizon, and The Crew, are just not my cup of tea, I am a hard core circuit Sim-Racer, I have A PS4 with Project CARS, F1 2015, and Driveclub. So I don't mind waiting 7 months for Porsche in FM6. If I were that desperate I would just buy Need for Speed on PS4:lol: But I would NEVER buy an EA game, because of the impact is has put on the Sim Racing Community, and it is because of this Turn 10+EA present deal I really don't see EA going anywhere in 2016, And this is the reason I believe the EA+ Porsche Licensing will be renewed, because Microsoft and Turn10 would have just waited until 2016 and released the Porsche Car Pack in January instead of negotiating a deal with EA that would give them a Porsche Car Pack release after EA's Need For Speed Release in Nov. 2015. Pushing FM6 Porsche Car Pack release date in Spring 2016, 7 months after the launch of FM6. So it seems to me that EA is very much in the picture for 2016 and beyond, and making the possibilities of Porsche in Gran Turismo 7 very unlikely.:( Unless Sony and Kaz sees a growth in Forza Motorsport and XBOX One and accepts the importance of a negotiation with EA- So I will wait it out, by April 2016, GT7 should have news by then, So I can make a finale decision. Because I would like to have a FFB wheel on one platform, because two is just too expensive, or maybe Thrustmaster will make A Servo base for the PS4, then it will only cost me an extra $259.00 for both FFB Wheels, or maybe I will just keep the Thrustmaster PS4 T80 wheel, and Re-buy The Thrustmaster XBOX One Ferrari 458 Spider wheel, and have both platforms. Decisions, Decisions Decisions.
But for now,The Xbox One and Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Wheel is going back while I can still get a full refund. see you guys in April, I will keep tabs on the progress of this EA+Turn 10 deal, At least they are trying, more than what Kaz is doing.

You keep saying that, but I have no idea where you are getting this from.

EA always renews it, it is nothing new. The deal was specifically said that they are working together, not that T10 is taking the contract. There has never been any proof what soever of the opposite, more so you just making up the situation.

EA is very much in the picture for 2016
They where never out of the picture

Wait, am I reading this right? You've bought an entire system and game on the promise of Porsche DLC coming in 2016 - something Turn 10 have announced - and are now getting cold feet because a few random people on the internet are questioning if it will happen? So you're going to return the entire kit... only to repurchase it when the Porsche pack does come out? Porsche DLC has never fallen through: back in the first half of 2011, after having Porsche in each previous Forza, Turn 10 announced a deal couldn't be met with EA for their inclusion in FM4 at launch, as each game required a new contract. They did show up as DLC later.

It's your money of course, but why even buy it in the first place if you put so much importance on a single marque? How someone can be so frivolous with money, yet know so little about the situation they're spending the money on, is equal parts fascinating and disappointing.

At least they are trying, more than what Kaz is doing.

Like numerous parts of your post, this is an assumption, nothing more.

T10 themselves have stated on their own website, and in a video posted to the official Xbox youtube channel. That Porsche is coming to FM6 in 2016. This isnt a rumor, and it is hardly likely the deal will go south. As T10 would have already finalized the deal before stating very publicly that Porsche will be in FM6 in 2016. T10 never ever ever say anything publicly about anything, unless that something is definitely going to be in the game or added at a later date. They are not like PD who say something is coming, and then you never hear about it again (track editor GT6). When T10 say we are getting something, we always get it. Have done for the past 10 years.

Either way, you are crazy to just up and sell your Xbox one just because Porsche is not in FM6 at the moment. If you are that worried about it, just wait till backwards compatibility is added to the Xbox one at the end of the year. Then you can buy a used copy of FM3, and you can use Porsche to your hearts content while waiting for the Porsche DLC for FM6.

They where never out of the picture

That was in reference to GT7 Rumor in hope Porsche will be in GT7, not FM6

How someone can be so frivolous with money,

I never said I was selling my XBOX One and Thrustmaster Ferrari Wheel, I said I was returning them for a full refund, because I'm not confident in Turn 10 yet, I mean after all, it is my money:boggled: I'm just postponing The FM6 full experience, The only way it will be a lost is if Turn 10 doesn't get Porsche, because I still have the Game disc, The only lost I would suffer is the DLC I purchased, and like I said that will only be the case if Turn 10 can't put Porsche in FM6, and that would mean that you guys were wrong and I was justified in postponing things, but I'm cool with that:cool: And I don't want Old XBOX 360 iterations in FM3 just for Porsche on an Xbox One, Now that would be Crazy and wasteful:odd: I want it all, and in April 2016 I will have it all, and If your confidence is justified in Turn 10 I will have it all in April 2016 So chill out guys, the only thing I'm loosing is time, and I'm cool with that:cool: As it is said in carpentry("Measure Twice Cut Once"):sly:

As I said in my last post, the deal that T10 have in place for Porsche in FM6 will already be finalized. T10 do not, and I repeat, DO NOT say anything publicly about their games and potential DLC. Unless they have the resources and deals in place to add them. The fact that T10 has told the entire world that Porsche is coming to FM6, means that we are 100% guaranteed to get them in FM6 in 2016. Just as they told us they would. T10 would not say we are getting them, if their deal with EA/Porsche wasn't already in the bag. It would be a suicidal move from a business standpoint, and would bring Microsoft into disrepute. It would also fall into false advertisement laws, as T10 and Microsoft have already advertised that Porsche will be added to FM6.

Also, I highly doubt that walmart will take the X1 back for a full refund. As the X1 is in full working order. They would only be obliged to give a full refund if the item you bought was in non working state.

Thank you for sharing your rather warped and confused mind. :)
Having said your bit kinda hope you don't feel the need to continue this "Porsche" factor any further here or other threads. I think we get "your opinion".

Here we have a thread that's about buying an "Xbox One for Forza 6". The concept of buying a console for the release of a single game is a rather big investment, even more if purchasing accessories too. It certainly puts the purchaser in a position to expect/hope to enjoy their purchase and the experience it brings. It also can be a situation many find lacking or dissatisfying if the game does not meet upto their own expectations. I can relate to not only getting an XB1 for FM6 but buying a PS4 for P Cars and although keeping the console was bitterly disappointed at how many bugs/poor that release shipped in. I await for it to perhaps one day be properly fixed but pleased by how Drive Club has improved so much.

So just to recap knowing Porsche /Ruf was not in FM6 to then state your loving the game (reason to be happy) to then want to return it, because what wasn't listed as in the game, currently isn't in it. Casting aside your doubt of official announcement for Porsche to appear within the game assuming it may not when it is already confirmed, ahhhh what?

Furthermore to then state you will not purchase an EA game with "Porsche" what obviously matters so much to you being in A RACING GAME. You will refuse to buy such a game title because you have personal issues/beef of their business conduct. Well guess what, it takes two tango. Porsche done the deal with EA so to me you make absolute no sense whatsoever and pushing silly notions around. Fine if you wanted to take advantage of a company's return policy and got a taste of the game/experience but I just do not get your reasoning whatsoever.

With respect. Your not the only one losing time,(lol) your kinda wasting others as I see few making any sense from your personal views.

Its a console, its a racing game, its about having passion for cars, racing and entertainment! Unfortunately the "Sim" phrase these days and peoples expectations from a "GAME SYSTEM" are scrutinised so much if not being realistic enough.

Game = Fun / Fun = Enjoyment / Enjoyment = Recommended Purchase.
On the whole does FM6 for most seem a worthwhile purchase? For me certainly for others who knows. We do have lots of DLC to come to further improve the game and it is in many ways a superb racing game, that's what it's meant to be.

IGN 8th JUNE
"Porsche, the most successful manufacturer in motor racing, is returning to the Forza franchise in a special Porsche expansion pack for Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One tomorrow, reports Autoblog. Autoblog’s sources also revealed that, while this Porsche pack will be the only content of its kind for FH2, Porsche will also be a part of the upcoming Forza Motorsport 6."

"The FH2 Porsche Expansion is the result of an agreement between EA (which maintains exclusive rights to Porsche vehicles in games), Porsche, and Xbox. The last time Porsche was part of the Forza series was Forza Motorsport 4, when a similar expansion pack was made available."

Also, I highly doubt that walmart will take the X1 back for a full refund. As the X1 is in full working order. They would only be obliged to give a full refund if the item you bought was in non working state.

I already returned The Xbox One and the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider wheel, plus the extended warranty for A full Refund.

Well I hope you're right about Turn 10, because you were definitely wrong about Walmart:lol:

Thank you for sharing your rather warped and confused mind. :)
How rude @mrlatte, All of that just because I not spending MY money your way:confused:

With respect. Your not the only one losing time,(lol) your kinda wasting others as I see few making any sense from your personal views
That really sounded respectful when you thought it huh?? All you have to do is keep scrolling until you find a post worthy, don't stop scrolling on my account.

Which has nothing to do with my post. EA where never out of the picture.
