^It's not a racing sim. Says so on the box.
And yes, I do take my car out for a casual drive... What the hell are you on about? There's something called "the back roads" out here.
When I take my real life S2000 out to the back roads or the track, I don't come home thinking "gee, I need to adjust the camber by -1 degrees". I just don't. I just drive it, and enjoy the very unique characteristics of the car.
I've had 3 cars, and I do the same for all of them. I don't need a race to have fun. The very act of driving is fun to me.
People wonder why I have an S2000, and then go buy a POS BMW E30 318is. Because I enjoy cars as they are. I don't feel the need to pretend I know better than the engineers at Honda and BMW who spent years setting the car up.
I think ultimately that's what GT5 is for: For people who simply enjoy driving, and can't be bothered to mess with an engineer's work (said engineer who has far more experience than anyone here). I've taken a slow ass Daihatsu and just cruised at 30mph through London and Rome..., all for fun, enjoying the sound, enjoying the scenery, and enjoying the very act of driving.
