58 on 10/18. But waiting for my daughter's birthday present of F2012 to arrive so I can see if there is life beyond GT. Hope my PS3 won't break if there's something else besides GT5 in it.

This thread has made my day. So glad that there are guys out there who play for the love of it and don't feel the need to 'act your age'.

I grew up on consoles and I will enjoy them until I can no longer play them.

To all us 'veterans'.......I salute you all.

Now where did I put my copy of sensible soccer?

This is exactly it, we are of the first generation to grow up with consoles, (at least from our teens) so it's only natural to keep playing them as we get older. When we were young(er) though there weren't many older ones interested in consoles - though looking back at what we were playing then you can hardly blame them.

43 here, Pre ordered my GT5 Limited edition and stood in line with all the youngsters on launch night to get my hands on it.

39 and counting, here.
Bought a wheel & rig for GT5 so I could finally have that home-arcade dream my ten year old self fantasized about.
We've come a long way from Pole Position, ladies & gentlemen.
Cheers to you all!

51, and GT5 is my first driving game, although my sons have played since GT1:)

My other half is 56 and also plays. We both have our own TV's, PS3's and copies of the game. :)

43 in two weeks and still loving the console. Hard to imagine life without one now! Roll on GT6!

I think we (the aforementioned) probably appreciate the beauty of the PS3 more because of what we had as youngsters. I couldn't have imagined what a PS3 could do back when playing a ZX Spectrum (was it 16k memory?) or an Atari console

this^^^
and i will be 45 next month ;-)

Nice to know that you're not alone in the world. I grew up in a communist East European country and came to US when I was 27 - some 15 years ago ( hint to my age ). PS1 was around at that time, and I can't describe how amazed I was by the Need For Speed game. One of my first investments with my hard earned money was a PS1 and the Need For Speed. Gran Turismo followed shortly and every Formula 1, Forza and PC racing games ever since. I got a few steering wheels and the proper setup that allows me to use the wheel on PS, PC and XBox. Happy gaming everyone!

I am. Although I don't play it anymore.

Sad to think a lot of people here won't make it to GT7 lol.

43 BTW.

I'll be 46 this year and I've been playing GT since the first one on the PS1.

It's really the only game I've played properly over all tjhose years and not just dabbled in. I don't play anything else at all at the moment and I can't see that changing.

I'm 40 and I had a Commodore 64, Atari 2600, Sega genisis, Nintendo, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360. You see the patern here....?
Can guarantee as long as I can use my hands and eyes I will play games. From little big planet to gt5 and everything in between I love them all!

I'll join the crowd. 43 here. Agreed that we have a unique perspective on gaming, since we've been here since the beginning.

40 is just around the corner for me. I can remember playing Pole Position on the Commodore 64 my folks bought me and wait.........ing for the tape drive to load (sometimes it worked). If you where really lucky you had a cartridge (Atari 2600 styles) or an exotic 'floppy disk' drive.

43 for me as of June, my wife keeps telling me to stop, you're too old for kids games. Guess thats 43 going on 15 :O;)
