I'm 61 going on 15. See my signature, I've been racing in some form or other most of my life.

Does this make us Digital Immigrants or Digital Natives?
I like to think we were Digital Presumers.

I would say we do apply a slightly more mature perspective to the 'game' within the simulator that we all love so much; no doubt our worldly experience of cars tempers what we expect from the software itself. A 40+ rammer would be, well . . . um.. . .

I'm 45, but my father is 76 and not only plays GT5, Dirt etc., he also drives his 911 in Autocross events. So that should give all of us some hope that we have long motor-sports "careers" still ahead of us!

Wow, that's really good. There is a driver at my local track who is 87 (maybe). He has won races since the 50s. Still winning :)

44 here and enjoyed GT from the start but only got serious this year when I bought my first wheel.

Well just about old enough to start learning Arithmetic. Calculus next. We'll start on the social psychology as soon as you hit 21.

Welcome to GTPlanet. ;)

Advising a 13 year old who posted on a thread titled Who's over 40 on the importance of Arithmetic, priceless, you gave me a big grin.:D Thank you.

41 and not ready to stop racing. was allways a nfs fan but when i got my g27 wheel and tried gt5 prologue i was hooked. when i got my fanatec porsche 911 gt2 wheel with clubsport pedals i fell in love with gt5 and the dirt series. i don't play on line because not shure if i'm good enough without skid recovery off. but willing to try if it was clean nice people playing.
my psn ron24

I'm only on my early 20's
But my father is 51 and plays GT regularly, in fact he was the one who got me into the series.
I can even say he is a better driver than myself :sly:

I have also been real driving simulating since gt3.. Still have not golded complex string! 4 100% saves on gt4. Currently playing gt5. Born in 1959!

I  and applaud yalls appreciation for the GT series and your appreciation for video games.
*28 in August:sly:*

Interton VC4000 was my first gaming console.

Later ColecoVision followed. Had a steering wheel for that - guess that`s where my "driving simulator" love started.

Skipped consoles in the meantime - had PCs. Commodore 128D, Amiga2000 etc.

Entered console gaming again with PS1, skipped PS2 (which I own now besides Sega Dreamcast and some Atari Systems for collecting matters) to become a "real" console gamer on PS3 and XBOX360 and aged slightly above 40.
Well my heart and mind is still 22.

Still got 27 years to go before I can join this club (yeah I'm only 13) and I'm enjoying racing (and beating) some of you older guys on Gran Turismo. ;) Even managed to pick up the platinum trophy last year, can't wait for GT6. :)
