Why are there people like this

I have ran into people in GT5 online who don't use aids like TCS and I usually don't use aids and there's nothing wrong with that but why do they bash on others for wanting to use them and calling them rude names that just aren't necessary I have ran into a lot of people like that and I'm just wondering about that.. Are they just trying to be intimidating cause it sure isn't working ..

If the lobby was originally set to ban the use of driver's aids, then I too, would tell them to get lost for joining the wrong lobby. It's just like how I set up lobbies that restrict tires to Sport Hards, and people come complaining to me that they can't drive properly without Racing Soft tires.

Well, I don't set up lobbies than ban the use of driver's aids, but I do set up Sports Hards or below lobbies. They should see full well that no, anything above Sports Hards is banned. So when they start to complain, I'd just tell them to shut up and then get out.

A large number of all TC users can't drive sad but true.
Some are really good but most I have ever seen can't keep their cars in order (read as: they cause crashes).
Most if not all cars don't need TC. If you need TC ON just to race a 100HP car then really, how good of a driver can you be?
And if they are using SRF.... don't even bother.

Look, I am all for driving with no aids.
But if a host doesn't want others to use aids, than why the **** does host have them on in the first place?
Host leaves the option for aids on and then begins to complain if people are using them?
Mentally retarted host.

Most of the time people are rude because they're rude people. They don't need a reason, any reason will do.

Some people are rude because they're narrow minded and unable to understand or accept that someone might disagree with them & that it's not a crime to disagree or have different preferences.

But I think it's rude to join a race (either an organized race or a pub lobby room) and then start complaining about the settings & restrictions, or start pestering the host to change things. That can get annoying & disruptive.

If you don't like the restrictions & settings of a race or lobby - DON'T JOIN.
Find another event, find another lobby... or make your own!

I dont spend my time on people who drive with aids on, and I dont say nothing bad to them either!

What I do is create online rooms with heavy restrictions, all set as real as possible, all aids off except ABS, PP from 300 - 600, tires from sports hard to sports soft (for 500 PP and more), sports hard is just too hard for most people online and I dont want to see alot of crashing, but I still kick every who drives inappropriate or aggressive.. I usually say - "in this room wining isnt everything, but clean driving is" and "race in any position till the race ends, if you cant overtake, then dont!" 👍 nothing beats driving on limit with no driving aids online with good set of tires (for me sports hard)...
look for example into modern Formula 1 and then look back to good old days 70's.. which one of them is more enjoyable to watch! 👍 simple isnt it...

some people cant stand when other people use driving aids on, and I do understand why!

I think that whiners need to be told to leave if they don't like no tcs racing line abs etc etc.

All the rooms I join and setup I have no aids except abs.

When I first started playing GT5, back in September, I used all the aids. I'd never had a driving game before, and I was terrible!

I found an online group to join where you weren't looked down on for using aids, and now I have improved to the extent where I normally only use ABS on 1, even with the Speed 12. I'll never be as quick or as good as people who've been playing GT for years, but I'm having fun and improving my driving all the time. I would NEVER, however, look down on someone who needs to use all the aids, including SRF, because I remember how I was when I first started out.

This is what I hate - "e-pros" hating on people because of the assists they use/cars they drive. So what if someone's using "TC with a 100bhp car"? No need to kick them or call them out on it for chirsts sake.

And the whole SRF thing? I never understood the hate for it - its another assist just like TCS/ASM/ABS. Heck, I even tried it on an FGT and I was still faster with no assists/ABS1.

This is not "GTP5: The real driving simulator for GTP and e-pro racers". If your kicking/calling people out for the assists they use, GT5 is not your game. Ether make your own lobby or play iRacing/rFactor/etc. where your type is more common.


But I agree - coming in and immediately requesting TCS/ASM/etc. to be enabled is just douchy and you should be kicked.

The only time i "roll my eyes" is when someone uses TCS on an AWD car or something that doesn't need it anyways. For example if you use TCS on the impreza naturally people will think you have no idea how to drive and you probably don't. 👍

Just because YOU don't need it doesn't mean that others don't as well. They could be completely new to sim racing, for all you know.

i drive with tcs:1 and abs:1 and i drive jsut fine. I do not need tc for any like low hp cars the... i only really need it when it comes to like lemans prototype and group c but even then i can it off and drive without... its just that i dont feel like spending money to buy a steering wheel.. so i have to do throttle controll with R2 and Brake controll with L2 (changed my setting)... its a bit harder than some peoples actually peddals...

But even with controller and TCS: 1 and ABS: 1 ... i still run lap times and win races with those other guys.. and i drive better than most of them as well

It's because most people who use TCS cannot drive and they are usually the n00b who rams into people. But if anyone uses TCS on a car with 800 or so BHP and lots of wheel spin then I wouldn't mind.

Who am I to dictate someones settings? As long as the racing is clean and fun, it really doesn't matter what someone else does - concentrate on your own ride and have fun with it.

When all else fails, join C.R.A.P. and you can get onto better things.

I agree, I avoid lobbys using aids (except abs set at 1) but if the host allows them in his lobby settings its a bit of a cheek to complain when people start using them!
