Why Do Humans Burp?

Erm, to release gas. I don't see it as embarrassing, I see it as a way to show how cool you are. The longer the burp, the cooler you are.

Belching is loads of fun. [Not to be confused with felching you perverts, though is equally fun.]

I burp as a form of showing that I might be small but I can produce the biggest noises(applies to farts too).

I burp all the time...my family does too. I love burping. I really like burping to songs.

It's like this: My bro, he can burp loud, but his tone is crap. It's always that high pitch crap stretched out. Me, I can burp low or high, I'm adjustable pitch. I can project better too. My dad does burps in what he calls the "wow" way. He burps and it sounds like "WOW" most of the time. My mom does the regular "brp" type. My dogs do sort of a "bruuffffffff" sound.

My burps(like most of my farts) don't smell, they are all noise no back power. My dad's smell pretty bad at times, and he makes it worse by burping and quickly blowing the gas mass through the air to me or who ever he wants to smell it.

It's down like that...

Eww man. Thats the one thing I hate about burps is that they smell like you last meal.

Has anyone had a puke burp? Its a burp when you're in the process of burping and stuff comes up...

I love burping, its a nice way to release pressure in your stomach...better than farting, and usually less smelling depending on what you ate. My family is very much the same way, my mom farts...me, my bro, and dad burp.......im the best tho. :-)

Well, when I do burp, I like to try and say words at the same time like "Pardon me", or "B******S". One burp I had was so long, I managed to say "We are the Borg"
