Why do most of these people listen to Rock?Music

Well, seeing this Music forum, I see a lot of rock crap on. Why do you guys like rock and not Rap, Hip-Hop?

I like all genres equally. Almost equally. I do listen to more rock, but mostly because there are more good rock groups than there are good rap groups out there. There's really no reason for genres. It's all music. People just use genres to pigeonhole others. Much like you just did.

This is quite a ridiculous thread. Especially since the person who created it claims to be Tupac. Of all the people in the world, he picks one of the most untalented. How sad.

i used to only listen to rap, but not that ****ty mainstream stuff, i listened to tupac, talib kweli, mos def, the roots, stuff where they had staories to tell and didint just rap about bling-bling and hoes.but lately it all started to sound the same and i've been listening to rock for the better part of half a year.i guess i just outgrew it, like most people do.

Because most of us just happen to prefer screaching guitars and meaningful lyrics to synthesizers and lyrics that only belong in a small spectrum of originality. Then again, the only rap I've listened to is that mainstream crap on the radio and I couldn't be bothered searching through underground artists to find anything decent, rap-wise.

dude, give trance and rock a shot. I did and it only helped me get a better taste in music. In 3 months, i went from purely rap to rap and trance. Less than a year later, i've got everything from rap to classical jazz - I enjoy it all.

5000 songs and counting. about 1k rock, 2000 rap, 2000 or so trance, and the rest is varying genres 👍. Almost ALL of it is non-mainstream. I've got some, but it's of exceptional quality

I listen to rock becasue of the style of music. Loud screeching guitars, good drumming, and rock has more of variety in the music. Mostly rap is about sex, gangs. Rock, as well as METAL, are about, well depends with what artist we are describing. Me! I like Slayer, most of their songs are about wars, serial killers, and Sat:censored:nism (I forgot, I wasn't going to post that name anymore) . One of the bad things about rap is that they repeat the same style of music, and sometimes they repeat the same words over and over. My older brother listens to a rap group called "Tupac", and when were on the car, he puts his tape of "Tupac", i noticed that they repeat "thag life", and "thag mansion" (or something like that) over and over.
