Why does PD always bring out bug fixes patches? Solving bugs apparently brings more new bugs with it :indiff:. They should more focus on more important things. Anyone has the same thought?

Yep after the last patch ppls connections have been all over the place

PD aren't at there top right now.

Ok, but I'm just saying that solving an old problem brings new problems, so what's the point then?

The don't intend for the new problems that follow on the update.

They should more focus on more important things.

What's more important than fixing something that is broken?

I mean the small problems that nobody bothers actually. New problems will keep coming. GT4 couldn't even have updates. Although, I'm very happy with the OCD and seasonal events. Fixing all bugs will be an endless process :p

Your logic blows my mind quite honestly.
(probably not right but i'm guessing how they go about this)
GT5 is really a gigantic code set. To fix somethings they need to change that code in places, so they may screw up in other places as well. And to add stuff, they need to add into that as well, which may screw up things as well.
So, right click and view page source here on GTP, now imangine that just with probably about 200x more text, that's probably what GT4's coding was like, which had less power to use, less features, no internet connectivity, and was probably simpler. Just Imangine how GT5's is.

Have you not seen the monolithic threads whining about this bug or that glitch, or duping or trade limits, or anything you care to imagine?

We got thirty threads and two hundred posts on the FWD LSD bug between when it was discovered (August 30th) and when it was fixed (September 3rd). That was a problem that I couldn't have cared even slightly about, so should I complain about it being fixed when it doesn't bother me? I imagine the people who do the tuning garages in our tuning section would have been slightly bothered as people found themselves unable to apply their finely-tuned settings to their FWD cars and complained at them...

Every bug bothers someone in some way. Every bug needs fixing. It is more important to fix things that are broken than pasting things on top of them and carrying on using them in the pretence that they work. The opposite attitude is why we see so many Barry cars on eBay with tens of thousands of pounds spent on bodykits, paintjobs and stereo equipment selling for tuppence because a basic maintenance part has failed and they haven't the nous to fix it.

That is exactly what I mean. The game will never be without bugs. And I don't really care about duplicating car glitches. I never said I hate the updates, but it will never end.

Famine
We managed it back in the 80s.

We didnt know better back then. The internet and constant connection has spoiled us. I had many " broken" games back then and we either played them or they got left at the bottom of the game drawer with thinggs like the power glove and nintendos. U force controller interface.

Welcome to Polyphony Digital...where your damned if you do (fix it) and your damned if you dont (fix it)

@OP

Would you rather they left track-boundary abuse glitches and frozen LSD's in?

Ok, I agree that this should be fixed. But the frozen LSD is a result of previous fixes, isn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong.

All they ever do is break more things, I wish they never had brought out any updates

If they never brought out updates, everyone would be still whining like children for things to be fixed.

Simple solution for you. Delete your game data (not save data) and reinstall from the disk. Job jobbed.

Say goodbye to remote racing, seasonal events and the online car dealership, mind. And watch out for that killer tyre wear. Hope you don't like individual gear ratios either.

Question though. Why are there so many bugs in this game and very, very few, in their main rival, on that other console?

Their fans are putting too much stress on PD by saying GT5 (great game) is a **** game :yuck:

I don't have the game since the release, so I don't know how really bad it was. Maybe I should shut up lol:dopey:. It's just some critique I give, and I'm sure it is a bit true.

I'd do it if I could play online.

I have an unpatched version on my other console. It is frustrating beyond description.

I don't really care about all the bugs in GT5. The more that are fixed, the better.
