Ill upload one if you tell me how to upload a picture from an IPhone or do you have a kik because i could send it through there???

You don't have to post a picture(!)

A mod has already gave you a warning over posting false information, so if you were lying - you've been reprimanded.

If you were telling the truth...well, there's no point in this whole concersation. Period.

You need to upload the picture to Imageshack or Photobucket or another image hosting site and link to it.

I've done no such thing.

Damn - I could've sworn your last post contained that "thou shalt not post information of false nature" part.

But either way, it doesn't matter. (To me)
Moooving on...

Woop! 3300th post! :gtpflag:

The first chassis maintenance is from my FGT and the second one is my Minolta

I didn't see anything about a Minolta. But I definitely seen: Car- FGT, Chassis Maintenance cost- 2.5million.

Any idea why its so expensive???

I honestly couldn't tell you. A semi-educated guess would be that it's simply because it's 50% of the cost of the car itself. But apart from that I don't know. :p

That GT Auto shop is ripping you off. Find another, more reputable shop. 👍

All jokes aside, do you have the latest patch (2.12)? I too can confirm it only costs 500k each to restore the engine and chassis, so I can only think of the idea that maybe the restorations were more expensive in previous patches.

I've never restored my FGT before so I have no idea what it cost to restore in a previous patch.

Well I live in Hawaii out in the sticks where we cant get internet so the games never been updated!!! Thats why!!!

Was never that much pre spec 2. And a bit before that.

To give you a reason to race to earn more credits.

Maybe you guys have a different version? Such as the japanese one? What's the credits limit on your GT5 copy, 20million?

I'm not quite sure. Engine rebuilds can range from about 20,000 cr to 500,000 cr (I think). It all depends on the car and how "complicated" it is to rebuild. This is just PD's way of trying to make the game more realistic.

How many miles on the FGT? Maybe that has something to do with it.

It's my understanding that price of maintenance increases based on wear (mileage) of car. I could be wrong though

You are, it's simply a percentage of the car's cost. That's why after a couple of hundred km the engine overhaul would be 500k for example and never go above that.

Which is how you're on this forum now, yes?

Seriously though, if you're not in the latest patch - that's probably why it's more expensive.

He's using a mobile phone and most likely can't use it to get a internet connection for the PS3.

Care to elaborate when a patch changed the cost of overhauls?

Fair enough.

I'm not entirely sure, but he is on an old version, and the cost is different. That's all I can think of.

Plus if I remember correctly, in the old 1.x days, I do think it was different. Not 100% sure, though.

I have played GT5 since launch, trough all the patches. But I have never seen Engine/chassis overhaul priced more than 500 000Cr for any car, no matter how abused it was.

If your car only has 4500km, it probably doesn't need any overhauls anyway. Before 5000km, Engine Overhaul won't even do anything, since wear doesn't begin until then. You could probably wait much longer depending on how much you need maximum HP.

There's really no way to get data about the chassis based on mileage, so no one really knows when it starts to wear, but I'd assume it's at least after the engine starts wearing out, and probably much later anyway. It also doesn't have a real impact on performance until it becomes noticeable, at which point you can do the overhaul at your discretion.

You can also use those GT Auto coupons if you end up facing a 500,000 cr engine rebuild!

I never use those :p I have 8 (I think), and I every time I restore an engine I look at the price thinking "nah, I'll use it later, even though it costs $450,000". In fact, I think the two I did use them on were washes or oil change

You have the lonely island GT5 version. Everything is 5 times more expensive, so that you NEED to drive thousands of boring offline a-spec races before you can afford anything decent. Keeps you playing, keeps PD happy - logic made by Kaz.
