Everything rake so lonw time to loade now

An the internet is fast, but still it take feraking long time to load

OR If you haven't restored your default settings. Have you downloaded GT5 file in your HDD? It's about 5-8GB, makes GT5 a whole lot faster or just get a new SDD which is way fa ster but in my opinion I don't see the point upgrading since I already have a 320GB HDD.

I have done the HDD, i did that when i instal gt5 fore first time but still slow :/

Ive putted a 120 gb ssd from vertex in it , and increases loading speeds alot

Well this would not be a problem if you don't store a lot of content on PS3. a 120GB SDD is roughly $80-$100, you can get a 1TB drive for $80. And in PS3, the speed of a SSD is not quite high as having a 7200RPM drive in it, because PS3 was not designed with SSD in mind and it uses SATA 3gbit/s which pretty much underclocks speed of SSD's.

Try restoring the file system & database. It's basically like defragmenting your PS3's hard drive.

Careful when using that menu, make sure not to touch the "restore default settings" and "restore PS3 system" options as those will delete data and settings. You only want to use the "restore file system" and "restore database" options.

What exactly is this supposed to help with?

Like how long it takes to move around in GTLife, or load a race? Like say entering & exiting GTAuto, the UCD, or a practice track?

Will it help stop the intermittent problem I have where the game sometimes hangs on the GT logo upon starting the game?
Odd thing about this problem is it only seems to happen on MY account, not my spouses.
(He has a lot less stuff in the game though - less cars, less custom tracks, less paints, less photomodes, less replays, etc.)

I can't say how it will help this game in specific. I can say that it will, in general, allow the PS3 to find data it's looking for a bit faster. It's like when files on a hard drive become fragmented over time, the worse it gets the longer it takes for the computer to find the data it's looking for. Basically speeding up anything having to do with reading from the hard drive.

Well, maybe not "speeding up"... but more like restoring peak functionality.

A typical 7200rpm hard drive read speed is around 90-100 MB/s on average, which is only a third of the capacity of a 300MB/s SATA2 interface. On the other hand most SSD's will max out a 300MB/s SATA2 interface.

I had a 500GB 7200rpm HDD in my PS3, then replaced it with an SSD and there was noticeable decrease in load times across the board. And the 7200rpm HDD was DEFINITELY not faster than the SSD as you so claim.

Okay and just so I only do ""restore file system" - that definitely won't bother any saved data or whatnot, right?

Worth a shot since that hang happens infrequently, but when it does, it's always when I'm in a hurry. (Like late for a scheduled race that I'm hosting! :grumpy:)

Have you downloaded the full GT5 Patch? Maybe clearing your cache will help? Does help with other cases but I'm not sure about yours.
