Why race cars do not have "improved rigidity" pre-installed??

I have noticed none of them have it even when they do have all the other tuning options fully upgraded.

Also, does it prolong the restore rigidity duration before you have to visit GT Auto???

I was wondering the same thing. Got a Ferrari F10 went to check the tuning shop.........improved rigidity was available. WTF!!??

How can you improve the rigidity on a F1 car??? Seems bizare to me.

I tried it once, didn't feel a thing....

ALL race cars must have chassis reinforcement (full cage, suspension points) to begin with....

Yeah, I never buy this unless I FEEL the need for it and ALL other tuning options fail. For this reason. I called BS on it halfway thru GT4.

F10, i had the feeling i better dont touch it because how could you increase rigidity? this car is not built by a bunch of amateur tuners, its built by the most successful and experienced formula one team out there... =) btw left hand off the controller on the straights using f-duct :)))))) 💡

That's funny. I just do it anyway. Without it I feel my race cars are not "as good as they could be".

But I usually don't do it on road cars unless I have maxxed everything else and there is still "something missing".

You speak of the increase rigidity part? All cars can have this added, but for some reason GT doesn't factor in the slight increase in weight, they must be using space materials or something. Fact is you should never actually add this to your car unless it has really bad body roll that you can't dial out using the stabilizers. I did it in GT4 to a car or two, made the car handle deadpan, like turning a brick. One thing in GT4 it did was increase how long you can go without your chassis warping on you. Not sure if that's still a benefit in GT5, but I have no reason to use it as yet. It might work on some of the more horribly roll crazy vehicles in the game. Any car pre '90's.

I feel as if I'm just blowing 20,000 credits when I buy chassis rigidity, does it really make a difference in regular vehicles?

I had a car that just use to lose it's s*** in high speed corners very easily (Even with racing softs)

I put that chassis rigidity and it basically solved that problem.

So in order for the Ruf Yellowbird to be drivable you have to get this?
